I love that Uzi has been given the space to articulate his feelings so openly and honestly. I love the way that you take cues from him and redirect him in confidence. He is such a gift. Cheers to you Uzi. Watching you grow has been a pleasure. ❤
His ability to articulate his emotions is amazing. The way dad taught him who he is and who God is in the time of fear blessed him and me lol….but after a while I’m like go to bed Uzi 😂
I remember those days with my girls. They got scared and I just told them get into bed with me. Then you would get kicked and slapped haaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Now fhaf my hubby has died what I would give to have a small body against mine . People like to take colour of skin or religions but all people r the same. Uzi is so like the way my girls were and they r white. I wish so much this world would look at our similarities not the differences. I lvoe you uzi you r so cute
Right on the money! Validation. I’d also add reassurance. Both are key to getting a child to be able to self validate and reassure themself as an adult. Then they wouldn’t *need* that from others or their parents still as an adult-though yes it’d definitely still be nice to hear.
Parenting is a process that requires patience. It definitely is a learned skill. Congrats on your successes with Uzi, and ALL your little ones. It's a pleasure and a joy to see them growing up loved, supported and educated by you and your lovely wife.
I just love Uzi. I love how he expresses himself and that he has a dad that encourages his self-expression with patience. As a teacher and a parent who's old enough to be a grandparent, I've seen too many children who only understand shouting, pushing and shoving because that's how their parents 'communicate' with them-- they are talked AT rather than talked WITH. They are slapped around and told to "stop all that foolish talk-- your thoughts don't matter!" Doing what you do now will make the crazy frontal lobe era between middle school and high school go much smoother. Thanks again for sharing your family, and being the example so many young parents need to see. Thank God for you and your wife and your conscious parenting in God.
Well said! I'm a teacher too and its sad to see a child who its obvious isnt allowed to express or even just be themselves, which is why some come to school and act out or school is their safe space. You can see by his ability to articulate his feelings that he's encouraged to do so and home is his safe space as it always should be for a child. "God is my strength!" I love that that! Great job dad! ❤
Worthy praise. That is a blessing and does demonstrate the great acts of kindness and compassion. I was never allowed to express myself. Life would have been better had my voice counted and I had been given more grace growing up. Well said. Children who are loved like this have more confidence and truly this is where self-love begins. It doesn't just happen.
Aw, Uncle Baby. Our internet nephew is growing up. So expressive and articulate. This lil clip reminds of the "Daddy, what's your name?" Clip. Too cute. Thanks for sharing these lil glimpses into your family life. God bless you all. 🙏🏽❤
Omg he have gotten sooooooo big and he talks so clearly now,it's seem like just yesterday he was saying daddy *WHAT'S YOU NAME* .he just wanted his daddy 😂❤ I love uncle baby!!!
Went from crying to cracking up. Uzi is the sleep avoidance king lol. In all seriousness, there aren't any words that haven't already been said to express how amazing you both are as parents but as human beings. Honestly, don't think there are enough great words. This here...? This is the kind of content that should be getting all the praise and exposure, especially for these young minds tainted by all this nonsense that's all too easily accessed. Love this family and I pray for nothing short of happiness, joy, continued blessings and success for each of you in whatever way God intended for that to look like
Uzi is the most entertaining of all the kids. Whatever comes up it comes out. He is also the most expressive of all the kids. Uzi stays in his feelings. He is so cute!❤
This was heart warming. You listened to him express his fears without dismissal like my parents 2 often do. Great how you empowered him against his fears.
This made my day🥰, I love that Glen allowed Uzi to come in and out of his room and to be able to say how he feels and what’s on his mind. I really do love these late night chit chats 😂
Why when I watched this all I had in my head was Uzi saying “DAD WHATS YOUR NAAAMMMEE” constantly playing over and over in my head😂 Uzis grown into such a charismatic, clever young man he’s so cute and I love watching all the family you guys are amazing much love🇬🇧xx
My mom used to pray over us too when we had bad dreams. I grew up in a house of dreamers. She had my sister read Ps 91. She slept with the Bible under her pillow. It sounds like he watched a movie and it was in his dream, but write down those that sound significant
I laughed SO hard through this entire video! He is so smart 😍🤭. My toddler probably watched his Ted talk on how to keep the party going with 50/11 questions and random thoughts. Thanks for sharing his Uncle Babyisms, as always 🖤
Have mercy, gotta share this one with my mom (82yrs), she's gonna get a kick out of it, she's been weak this past week hopefully it'll give her a boost, thank you for sharing, love to all the family 🌺
When you lay down, you will not be afraid. Yes when you lay down your sleep will be sweet. Proverbs 3:24 I speak this over the little man man in Jesus name.
OMG, I love how safe he feels sharing his thoughts. Love your patience with him sharing his thoughts. And I loved that jump cut to dear Uzi sleep in your arms, exactly where he was trying to be from first mention of beetles and snakes😂
I love this kind of parenting. Uzi is so smart. I am going to use Uzi new method whenever I am scared… “God Is My Strength” because God is all of our strength. Greatest lesson to learn!!!🙏🏽💪🥰
Nephew, You are such a great dad! It has been a blessing to watch you and your family over the years and to see how you have all grown together. The patience, love, consideration and purposeful parenting you model is legacy. Thank you for showing the way.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I got so emotional watching this. A highly sensitive, intelligent kid who needs a whole lot of reassurance and a very fine kind of understanding to counteract his own mind's tendency to slip away infinitely (and dreadfully). His needs being met. I know i'm projecting lol, but anyone who has been in contact with highly sensitive+intelligent kids will know what I mean. Beautiful job, Glen. I recommend reading the literature about gifted peoples cuz this child will continue needing your guidance for years to come and you will need a whole lotta patience (😂) and knowledge!! Love to all
Awwww, the end❤❤ I knew when you were praying for him & he yawned & looked so comfortable laying on your arm that he wanted to fall asleep then. He's such a sweet little boy & you're such a loving & patient dad, Glen. This was such a great video to watch❤❤
wow, I love to see Uzi express himself clearly, been watching his videos for a while i feel like i am part of family. It's precious to see a godly a good example fatherhood from fallible people yet honest people. Gives me hope.
5:10 When I was a kid, I used to daydream about stuff and experiences I never had. And I dreamt of having a father like you who would be patient and caring. God bless you and your beautiful family!
That little pause before Uzi entered the dark room was so meaningful to remember as we raise our kids. We can give them great encouragement and prayer but it will stay be a journey for them that they need our support to walk through. This was such a sweet video.
Oh My God! Last I saw Uzi, he was a baby!!! These kids are just full of personality and Uber-smart!!! Their faces are sooo engaging!!! These kids are FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!
Is uzi telling you he is having intrusive thoughts? His articulation is wonderful, asking for peace of mind. Describing the images he sees....uzi God is your strength. Also, your peace, your shield protection.....
I love the family’s dynamics. As a father you set the tone and your family has followed your lead. Every leader learned how to lead, & you very have a strong foundation. God FIRST, self, wife and children. I love this for y’all 😢❤😢❤
Love this! Validation and reassurance are the pillars to self confidence. Both were demonstrated beautifully in this video. Validating Uzi’s fear of beetles, snakes, and all, then reassuring him that he would be okay. Plus teaching Uzi how to reassure himself with a mantra using the meaning of his name! A++ parenting. Validation and reassurance of emotions, inner strength, and safety are exactly what children need and are owed from parental figures. Receiving that while growing up (prepuberty especially) is what allows one to be able to validate and reassure oneself as an adult. Without that foundation in childhood, people tend to look for validation and reassurance in all the wrong places.
I so loved what you taught him “God is his strength” I enjoy watching your family grow. God bless you & your family. His voice makes me smile❣️ Enjoy everything about your children because it’s goes fast 💨
It’s so great to see parenting done on this level. It’s bittersweet because with your family I am able to see what I missed out on as a child and what was possible but my heart is happy that other brown babies are being parented well. ❤😊
When I say that you all have done a stellar job in teaching these children to be articulate, courageous, bold, confident, secure, intelligent and Godly. WELL DONE! Start a course, I know there are many parents who struggle with these things. May God continue to guide and lead your home in the mighty name of Jesus!!!!! #SoMuchLove 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Uzi coming back after the first talk wanting a "hug" aka an invite to stay. Then when he came back with Anaya's head wrap and the Ninja Turtles! 🤣🤣🤣 You've got to love this child❣️🤩
It's funny how he wanted a hug.. I knew he needed that physical reassurance when he came in. Lot of times they need more reassurance during the day. They may not express it verbally, then as it gets to night time when things shut down there need is revisited. Pretty normal child behavior for his development. Thanks for sharing your cutie pie with us.
Suggestion: Pray over him more often than not. Hopefully no one stones me for this, but I always thought sleep problems were spiritual. Children never want to go to sleep, but eventually they'll go to sleep. You all are amazing parents though, very inspiring! Lol as I'm typing this, you start praying! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Amen
This is a moment beyond beauty, such a caring father and such a bright and exuberant young one. Sending love, respect and gratitude for sharing these moments. Uzi is Gods strength!!!
Thank you so much for this Glenn. This conversation is just a sign that history is being rewritten for these kids. They have the confidence and space to approach you as a good Father who they know will listen and not judge them. May we all know the joy and the peace of this kind of relationship with our Heavenly Father ❤
This is so beautiful it almost brought me to tears!! It is incredible that he can even express this at his age! You guys are raising an amazing set of children!!😂😂😂❤❤❤
This child may have a prophetic call. What he's seeing in his dreams could be spiritual. He's not too young to pray powerful prayers 💙🙏 God is his strength!
Beautifully spoken, I love the fact that you all took time with their names, my child is 32 and still always wants to hear the story about their name, so very well expressed are his thoughts. I forget that he is still the baby. I love these children and I love you all as parents! ❤❤
I love that Uzi has been given the space to articulate his feelings so openly and honestly. I love the way that you take cues from him and redirect him in confidence. He is such a gift. Cheers to you Uzi. Watching you grow has been a pleasure. ❤
Love the joy he brings. ❤❤🤭
This little Sonshine ❤❤❤❤
Parents should allow their children to respectfully express themselves: what I wish I had while growing up...
Uzi is adorable. He’s also the king of stalling, 😂.
The master!!!! He’s seriously such a SMART kid. He knows exactly what he’s doing LOL 😂. I believe that in my soul! He brings me so much joy!! ❤❤❤
😂😂😂😂😂
And scaring himself with monsters sounds. 😂
Honeyyyyy! Game for days but we don’t care cuz he’s so cute!🥹🌝❤️
Big time! 😂
What a brilliant story. From “Daddy What’s your name” at night, to knowing his name’s meaning!
Yes! 😅
AHHH!! Didn’t even piece those two together til you said that. Look at that ❤
YESS , you are rigth!
so True !
We in Season 2 of Uzi now lol. "what's your name" was season 1
His ability to articulate his emotions is amazing. The way dad taught him who he is and who God is in the time of fear blessed him and me lol….but after a while I’m like go to bed Uzi 😂
😂😂😂
Right 😂
😄😁😃
I remember those days with my girls. They got scared and I just told them get into bed with me. Then you would get kicked and slapped haaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Right, the way he kept coming in talking about a new dream like he has even given himself a chance to have any new ones 😂 he too cute
The way Uzi came back different times with new things in his hands! 😂😂❤
💚
I love how he have a dream but he never went to sleep😂😂💚💛💚💛💚💛
Love that these parents let their kids be seen and heard...it's so important to be validated..at every age and stage in life❤
Right on the money! Validation.
I’d also add reassurance. Both are key to getting a child to be able to self validate and reassure themself as an adult. Then they wouldn’t *need* that from others or their parents still as an adult-though yes it’d definitely still be nice to hear.

That was sermon for my big grown self!! God is my strength 🙌🏾

I met him slapping himself when his siblings were leaving home.
He’s a character and he makes my heart sing!!

I can love the late night chit chats when they are not wrecking MY sleep. 💤😴
No yelling, silent stares, threats, cursing out the child who's avoiding bedtime: awesome parenting!
I loved every bit of this lol. All Uzi wanted was to sleep in his dad's bed ha. Mission accomplished ha 😴🛌🏿
When Uzi was leaving the room (the first time😅) and he whispered "God is my strength" to gear himself up, it was the cutest thing ever. 😩🩵
"Now this time lay in the bed but don't get back up" 😂 Glen is always so thoughtful and FUNNY

That prayer said “knock him out, Jesus” 😂😂 too cute
He is expressing himself perfectly and you are giving him all of the cues needed.. you are an awesome dad with a cute, smart boy!
This is the cutest conversation I've heard!
He was scared of a beattle instead of the ghost he drew. 😆 he is so cute.

Definitely was, thanks for the correction..@@igotvictory3591
Amen!!!❤❤❤
Uzi is so smart he's growing up fast.what a great kid.
Train up a child in the way they should go and when they get old, they will not depart from it ❤
Well, Glen . . . on this particular night YOU WERE UZI’S STRENGTH!!!!💪🏽😉🤣
♥️♥️♥️♥️
Uzi definitely didn’t have a dream, because he never went to sleep at that point🤭🤭he’s so cute,I love his personality
Saying *”God must be your strength because you’re pretty strong”* after getting that hug was pretty cute & funny😆
ohhhhh my freaking goodness. Hearing this boy speak clearly made me so emotional. I felt like I was part of his childhood. 😢😢😢

Glen: I don't think you had a dream yet tonight.
I died! 😂😂😂😂😂 I definitely had this thought by Uzi's 3rd dream.

I was thinking 'He hasn't been sleep so when did he dream?' 🥴🤷🏾♀️🤣🤣🤣
OOOOOO AMEN!!! I needed this word!!!! “God is my strength!!”

You've got to love this child❣️🤩
I love how Uzi shows you he wants to be with you without saying it. I knew how this was going to end. Love you guys!🥰
Using just wants to stay up. He's not ready for sleep just yet 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. He's making every excuse. Beautiful name. Love the way you speak to him. ,👍👍👍
I feel Uzi's pain. I'm 52, and I get scared when I lay down, close my eyes to sleep. Uzi's my renewed strength. Thanx, Dad❣️

Sweet Uncle Baby. He's so articulate. Bless his heart. ❤
Uzi is so precious! Everytime I see him he just melts my heart❤️ I just love watching him grow up.
I can't love this clip any more❤❤❤❤ Too adorable!
I love that he’s articulating his feelings so specifically! He has been taught very well by his parents that he is blessed with a powerful name.
It's funny how he wanted a hug.. I knew he needed that physical reassurance when he came in. Lot of times they need more reassurance during the day. He just needed to cuddle ❤ and be heard❤️❤️! I don’t know how much time this took, and patience is the key! Well done Daddy.
Uzi is the cutest little man baby ever 😍Glen God bless you for your patience.

❤Uzi❤ What can I say? I’m full of pride and joy over this family! Thank you for sharing.
1:01 This child is so smart. He is coming up with it all. Very loving family
