They should make the button a "get ME out of here" instead of "get THEM out of here"... the button favors people that are there for attention rather than an actual date since pushing the button guarantees you another chance and more screen time. If pushing the button meant your screen time ended, people would be much more likely to give the other a chance.
One more thing is also that they don't even attempt to pair up people who might potentially fit together, they obviously have some info on them, but instead of trying to use it to pair people up, they just use it to create unnecessary drama. I like to think that at least, maybe, some of the rejected talked to each other behind the scenes and, possibly, connected over that traumatizing embarrassment they've been subjected to.

The reasons every single person was so quick to press the button, is because they were scared the other person would press it first, therefore it became a race to find something you could justify the press with. Whoever created this show accidentally made a psychological experiment instead of a dating game It also had two distinct groups the whole time. The ones who were willing to press it, and the ones who were not (obviously) but it’s still interesting to see how peoples personality’s affected their willingness to press it

Yeah that was legitimately kind of irritating. She wasn't even willing to hear out a lot of the guys she was buzzing past. I think the idea I saw someone else mention of the buzzer being a way to take themselves off would have been better since it may let the people actually give the other more time to talk a bit rather than making them leave while leaving the attention seeker able to sit there and soak up the attention.
the problem of this show is that there is absolutely no downside to hitting the button. You can clearly see how some of the women on various episodes are just pressing it immediately to make it to the end and "win". Heck in some episodes the "dates" devolve into a battle of who can push the button the quickes once it becomes red because both sides are just trying to advance into the game rather than getting to know the other person. Just make a small tweak, something like being out once you reject three people. This way people might actually have an incentive to keep the date going.
Not to mention that if they just worked together, they could get a free trip. Isn't that something worth just getting along for? It's literally free and all you have to do is tolerate each other for 10 minutes
I sincerely hope that this was extra bad just because of the fact that there were cameras and it being a game show that's essentially first to press the button wins. This literally looks like a dating app, but in real life essentially. Seeing everyone hit the buzzer as soon as they can just reminds me of how someone would just swipe left. I do feel bad for some of the people too. They don't get a chance to really express themselves entirely.
To add to that; I feel like it has a lot to do with options. Because of the design of the show, everyone feels like they have more freedom to be strict with their standards. This show is a literal manifestation of the current nation of dating. It's like a mixture of expectations put onto us by dating apps of what dating would essentially look like in reality, and it shows how people can be quick to judge.

The reasons every single person was so quick to press the button, is because they were scared the other person would press it first, therefore it became a race to find something you could justify the press with. Whoever created this show accidentally made a psychological experiment instead of a dating game
It also had two distinct groups the whole time. The ones who were willing to press it, and the ones who were not (obviously) but it’s still interesting to see how peoples personality’s affected their willingness to press it

the problem of this show is that there is absolutely no downside to hitting the button. You can clearly see how some of the women on various episodes are just pressing it immediately to make it to the end and "win". Heck in some episodes the "dates" devolve into a battle of who can push the button the quickes once it becomes red because both sides are just trying to advance into the game rather than getting to know the other person.
Just make a small tweak, something like being out once you reject three people. This way people might actually have an incentive to keep the date going.

This show is a literal manifestation of the current nation of dating. It's like a mixture of expectations put onto us by dating apps of what dating would essentially look like in reality, and it shows how people can be quick to judge.
