In this video I'm gonna talk about some scopes which I think are highly underrated, and in most cases will help you instantly improve your aiming skills. This was a big change for me and it didn't just happen overnight, it took me almost 4 wipes to figure this out. The purpose of this video isn't to tell you that every scope in the game is rubbish and you should only listen to my recommendation if you wanna get better. No. Most optics you see being used in this game have a purpose in one way or another.
I've been getting pretty comfortable with my aim in Tarkov recently, and I never really understood why until now.. its because of scopes like the ACOG, Monstrum, bravo and the HAMR, scopes that don't have a variable zoom. You see what a lot of people don't realise about these scopes is that their one limitation is also the biggest advantage. These scopes are fixed, you cant change the zoom and what you see is what you get.. that's brilliant for building muscle memory and improving your aim. in other words, because there's only one zoom you quickly get the hang of how to react in certain situations and your not stuck hesitating about whether you should use the 1x the 4x or the canted sight.. you just react. One of the biggest reasons I think that people don't like these scopes is because they don't give them enough time to adjust to. Iâd say most people have maybe 3 favoured optics that they switch between, and naturally youâre gonna feel way more comfortable using them if youâve got more hours with them. But please, give these scopes a chance, take the time to adjust to using them properly and I guarantee youâll not only save a few extra pennies, but your aim will get a lot snappier.. and youâll be winning aim duals you didnât even think possible.

How to get a better aim in Tarkov:
- Get familiarised with the recoil of your weapon of choice
- Use the right sights for the situation
- Purchase a 2000⏠computer to get stable fps and recognizable graphics
it doesn't have to be 2000âŹ

honestly id love to use the 2x more often, but with the way scopes work in tarkov, causing massive fps drops on lower spec pcs like mine its just barely useable at if you lose 15 frames every time you ads.

That last raid is the absolute pinnacle of Tarkov experiences: down so many lads and the bushes have eyes. But for real though he might have been the last dude's teammate because no one thermals alone.

Your mention of the effect that content creators and streamers have had really resonates with me. I've recently felt like gaming as a whole has been negatively impacted by streaming overall. Yeah games have massive communities that are more engaged than ever, but it's also caused exactly what you said. Trend mentality. Everyone wants to be just like their favorite streamer and it leads to so many people playing the game in the same way to the point of stagnation. And this inevitably causes games that aren't meant to be competitive to become sweat fests. Obviously that last bit doesn't apply to Tarkov, but that's why I like screwballs like General Sam. He does some real goof shit most of the time. I'm more interested in fun than winning so I'll play with weird kits or go as far off-meta I can because I like the variety.
Bro the end of that last raid had me dying, that's my style right there! Excellent vid as always. Also, I'm absolutely a 4x enjoyer, feels like the perfect magnification for me, and Monstrum of course :)

At the start of this wipe I played a lot around the MP5SD and got bored of the holo sight quiet fast. Well as it turns our the Monstrum 2x Scope fits nicely on top and turns the MP5SD into a headshot machine. I can only recommend taking it for a spin when you feel like using a SMG!

I have only one request 2lew, Please Use The Defiance Iron Sights Instead of MBUS It doesn't up up into your scope like the mbus does
interesting, never really felt like its been an issue tbh đ
But MBUS looks better if you do use them, which I rarely do... but that's my excuse for throwing MBUS on everythign :0 (Edit: Sometimes I pull off a sight in raid while using NVGs and switch to Irons but it doesn't happen a lot)
I just use MBUS or KAC sights for +1 ergo each, no idea if the defiance have that
One of the early wipes I'd always rock an ACOG with a red dot on top, quick tap to swap to the red dot for CQB and vice versa for longer ranges. I see no issues with this, it looks sick and has it's use in covering you both short and mid range.

And 10:16 is EXACTLY why you suppressive fire the general area you took shots from, because that's how you survive that kind of hairy situation in real life because either you get LUCKY and eliminate the threat or you make the attacker take cover and doubt their confidence. Good play!
I know you said you feel comfortable with the trijicon acog but the bravo site has the same zoom but the FOV on it is much better which means your scope wont get nearly as blacked out when you lean or shoot, although to be fair the reticle isnt as good but i feel like its worth it for the clearer sight picture
I watched 7 minutes in and didn't see anything on instantly improving my aim other than the 2x scope

Hey Lew, I've been watching your content for quite a while now and I just wanted to say that in this situation at 29:45 you could go back and pick up the blackrock on the guy you killed up the rock, to be able to hold more slots and the hexgrid, i understand you were in a bit of a panic so its no worries, just for future cases like this. I agree with what you say in this video, other scopes are really clean and viable, thank you for posting such awesome content.

What really baffled me was the reaction to that bushman. Really stoic my friend!. I 100% need to break something or punch something after something like that. And ofc insult the dude. Those deaths sting like a mofo. I still remember how once I got killed in woods, close to checkpoints outside LM, after killing 5 dudes. Got one-tapped by a scav player with a makarov. I was wearing a half-visor and got heads, jaws. Never wear half-visors.

Unfortunately burnout is something that every creator has to deal with, it's just part of the cycle. I'm pretty well versed with dealing with it though đ

The absolute BIGGEST thing that has improved my aim this wipe is one thing you mentioned but a little bit didferent and that is using the exact same gun as often as i can. For my this wipe its the m4 since its the only gun i can consistently buy decent ammo for. Last wipe it was the ak101 for the same reason. You mwntioned using the same optics consistently because youll get used to them and start hitting more shots, well the same thing spplies to the gun you have. Doesnt need to be an insane meta gun, the m4 i run almost every raid only costs about 200k and has 44 recoil. No where mear a meta m4 but its still good and im very very comfortable with it now

My new meta is running shotguns with flashlights but I drop the gun with the light on and then use it as bait. Works literally every single game. Like moths to a porch light. Chad canât help themselves

Okay. So here is my "part" for this video. I generally love using the scopes you showed in this video. I just feel a lot more love for the 6x scopes, like the Vudu. What I am doing to have sort of the same feel, as what you are explaining, is that I'll have the Vudu, with a reddot on top. I will then switch the Vudu to 6x and keep it there. This is easier for me personally, and has made my aim improve.
But maybe it's time to do it your way, and slap some cheeks with the acog!
I just imagine myself running to extract with that haul, full of thermals, exfil helmet, lv6 armors, then getting insta-tapped on the way and being able to chuckle about itđ i would've lost it i think!! just funny tho how u can have all this crazy gear on and still die so fast
This is such great advice to new players. I have always hated the âmetaâ gameplay and I usually run the same setups that I have IRL because they are actually useful and practical. The ACOG, HHS(EoTech with G33 magnifier) and Aimpoint T2. Which is really insane that a video game can replicate my actual rifle setups. I rarely look at the stats of my builds in Tarkov and just setup a rifle that feels and looks good. Makes the game feel so much better than running the same streamer meta build lol.
Early wipe I run a suppressed STM-9 with the 2X scope at night with NVG's on Woods for quests/money runs. Its a great setup for killing scavs and sneaky kills on players. I've even killed Shturman with it. 2X Looks great with NVG's and the gun is great for cheap, low recoil head taps. That little bit of extra zoom really makes a difference in accuracy.
I just hit like then watch the video, dude your editing is so good. Really makes your videos watchable. I'm a video editor and I highly recommend this channel.

That one shot headshot is almost everyone of my raids now. Can't move on maps like you without being one shot or severely bloodied up.
The acog is actually amazing , I put an m4 build with an acog and canted and ppl literally got so mad

Some of my personal favorites is the hhs. Its a holographic that clicks into a 3x scope, its pretty solid for most ranges. Any 1x/4x or 1x/6x along with a reflex on the gun somewhere. I tend to stay away from MOST reflexes aside from ones that have a pretty wide view on them. And the monstrum 2x. It just feels comfy.
People that use the HHS are just built different, that's one I've not cracked yet
I love that too, the amount of fast right hand peek headshots I have done in reserve bunker with that is unbelievable đ
love the Acog, it's snappy I like it as a budget x4, you can also add an iron sight on it, but you need Pkeeper lvl 4 iirc ...

I know it wasn't exactly to point or purpose of the video, but your scav raid showed exactly why I used the Saiga-9 as a budget gun a lot this wipe. Next to nobody had visors this time around and it scored me more slicks and meta guns then I would ever waste the roubles on.

Aiming is easy. All you have to do is move your mouse to put the dot on their head. The hard part is dealing with your character moving ur gun around. So you get a scope or a sight whos dot stays where the bullet will go instead of floating around, and make ur gun high ergo so your PMC centers it quickly so it turns into point and shoot faster.
the acog turned into my best scope this wipe i suck with red dots, feel like they are just never putting rounds where i want them but the acog what i see is what i hit.
Acog definitely gets slept on. Gotta be the cross reticle and not the triangle though.

once you play 1440p with good fps you realize how much you are missing out on if you play 1080p. just the fact you distinguish players from far away without having to zoom in with a scope is an extreme advantage. even in close quarters the clarity of 1440p is very helpful.
the acog is a FAT no go honestly any 1/4x is cheaper for the exact same capabilities. you have to spend significantly more for at times less with the acog.
the fixed mentality of it being more a feeling than a thought applies to bikes too.

Control click to grab it, alt click to equip it, control click to get rid of it, delete key to discard it.
All this mouse movement is a waste of time and will get you killed while you are looting.
Monstrum is underrated as hell. i have semi poor vision, so it basically works as a red dot for me. i can see a little further, line up the stuff at like 70m or so, but it also works in dorms just fine. its been probably my most used scope. Monstrum on a P90 *chefs kiss*

PSO+canted, Monstrum+canted, ACOG+RMR are secret weapons on their own
I personally run the Dovetail Nipplesight brother a ton, I just adore the green clear ^dot and sight picture.
4times is too much for my Taste on anything other than Bolties, not to mention the 6x and more. Personally kinda like the ACOG 3.5x, ofc the Monstrum too. The Eotech HHS has a horrible dot though.
My favorite though is the ELCAN SPECTER. I really dislike canted sights and topmounted ones and the Specter gives me a TAC30 but with a magnificent dot. Just, don't use the Irons on it other than for searching.

So I know Monstrum as a company. I always thought of them as a budget American manufacturer, not amazing, cheap in prive but decent performance. And here I find out Russians know about the brand and it exists in Tarkov. Wild

REally good point. I think it's more or less a personal taste but I also like the Elcan , and the Vudu. It's all about getting used to the scope, as you said, muscle memory.. It just feels so much better if you train it because you can one tap super fast .. because you know. Ima hit him

@@FrenchyTube3 I agree they have done a great job with the game. Here's my issue. I pay over 100$ for eft now, which in its current state I like the gamplay loop. Then a year from now bsg makes a dramatic change and ads open world and base building or something. Then I'm out my money imo. I like knowing what I'm paying for. I hate the idea that it could change after my purchase. Bsg could sell and new owners could ruin game. That's where my mind goes

I love fixed scopes, but my go to for the scope thats not a full blown 12x is the Spectre scope. I know the ironsights on it is well... yea but it works for me

also you still get fps drop on both sights if using canted sight and scope together. i don't use secondary sight any more I just hip fire if close or use scope for longer shots
I normally use the scope with a sight ontop but the whole darkness thing when I aim makes it awful. every time I use the scopes itâs just so damn dark. but when I use the top sight everythingâs normal

I love the tac 30 for its versatility but the reticle in the sight can be a bit much at times. the red circle just seems so big in the 1x
