    Thank you for great information. Just a quick share… I water cultured mine and although the growth is hard to notice, it's forever healthy, green and shiny. Never a spot or dead leaf. I just keep the water fresh and give it light, nothing else. Super easy! I water cultured my Poly African Mask too, it took til the following spring to adjust but is happy and beautiful!I'm disabled and didn't want to give up having plants as my condition progresses, water culturing helped me have them longer.
    Wish you well and thank you again!

    Hi, thanks so much for sharing your insights on growing Zz plants. Could you provide the ration for the orchid bark to the peat moss in your soil mix? Finally, do you think the conditions for growing a regular ZZ plant apply to a dwarf ZZ too? Thanks again✨

    • @TylerMossop

    Hi Tyler. I'm new to your channel and I think your zz plant is so gorgeous. Why does my zz don't look like yours. It's not flourished. It's just long stems with handful number of leaves at the top. I've repotted the plant 3 weeks ago with new soil and noticed 4 new growth. What do you advice me to get my whole stem covered in leaves. Thank you.

    Hi,
    Very useful video i would say, in terms of using Orchid potting mix. Correct as both of them need less water.
    But just to help you improve. Speak faster and be crisp in terms of points. Also, your tone seems same throughout, have that ups and downs/excitement/happiness when you are speaking. You will do wonders.

    My ZZ plants shoot new stems every now and then, but most of them dont survive more than 2-3 weeks. Some new stems even dry up before they open up the leaves. But the old branches are doing well.. dunno why this happens. Only the new stems dry in 90% of the cases

    • @gofigure4920
      @gofigure4920 Před 6 měsíci

      Wow that is so strange. I notice coco cur is horrible on plants. I use liqid miracle fertilizer. A tiny pinch in water every other week. Your problem might be over watering. This plant will survive less water than to much. Someone mention adding dried crushed egg shell to get more leaves. If you do little watering it won't give you new leaves. The plant flourishes in bright light. The new leaves in bright light becomes very tall. Way above the old growth that had less light.

    • @roselynmvm
      @roselynmvm Před 2 lety +1

      @@Nangsen1234 the spots are usually a sign of overwatering. Eventually the stems would fall, bend, or brake down. Just don’t water the plant for a long period of time (around two months or longer) until it recovers. The spots usually don’t go away but the stems won’t brake and the new shoots won’t have the spots. I usually water my zz every month and half throughout the year, except for summer when I water once a month. During winter I wait two months or more. The frequency would depend on your own individual conditions but usually less frequency is better. These plants hold a lot of water on their stems and also on their large bulbs. Every other week is probably way too much watering (as mentioned in this video) unless you live in a very tropical climate with good ventilation and lots of light and warm weather.
