    I am fairly new to house plant and got my first ZZ Plant early April. I repotted it using a heavely amended cactus soil mix to which I added perlite, pumice, charcoal, bark with a bot of worm casting. Water just drains right thru the pot but stays humid enough to give the plant time to drink. I moved it outside for the summer. It’s on my north facing porch when it rains as it is protected from the rain and I move it to my south facing backyard on sunny days. She loves it and the leaves are now so shinny. She looks beatiful, healthy and happy.

    Thank you for the informative video. I just bought two ZZ plants and placed them in my bathroom where they get bright afternoon indirect light & the humidity from the shower. They love it. But I will put them outside for an hour of direct morning sun. I’ll also check out your soil video.

    Hi, my name is Theresa and I acquired a clipping of ZZ plant from a neighbor. I set it on a table where it gets indirect light and a space heater was near and it was on. I turned the space heater off and went to bed the next morning I got up and my plant was like this drooped over and it looked like it’s burnt. How do I clip it back and get it to start growing again please help me.

    I have read & heard that ZZ plants are among the easiest to grow because they don't need a lot of light, water or humidity. Your advice discourages placement of the plants in areas of the home that do not have bright light or high humidity. High humidity in the home tends to damage the structure with condensation on cold windows & mold on window frames.

    • @TylerMossop
      @TylerMossop  Před rokem +1

      Humidity is not moisture. Tons of people live in places with extreme humidity and don’t have building damage.

      @@TylerMossop I don't know anyone who likes living in high humidity, especially inside one's house. When humidity condenses on cold windows & frames during northern winters, it becomes moisture & causes black mold. I recently watched an episode of Nature about biologists in the Amazon rain forest. Mold was getting on all of their possessions.
