  • Mazda has two SUVs in the same category, but which one should you buy? The CX-30 or the CX-3?

It's good to see a auto reviewer doing a entry grade variant most auto journos alway seem to do the the top shelf variant with the bigger or more eng option but the bulk of private buying public buy the entry leval when they use there own money as like me they don't see the value in a big tech screen, sunroof, moonroof, multi one climate control, heated, cool seats and AWD paying 10 k more for a heap of features that you'll hardly ever use

Thank you! Look to be honest I do love getting into a top spec car (who doesn't) but in reality I have never owned one and lower spec and mid spec models are still awesome. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the review mate. I really like your approach to breaking down all of the interior, such as the dash, climate/aircon controls, gear, internal section. This kind of break down gives the opportunity to show the look and feel of every part of the car. Most reviews gloss over that level of detail. Thanks!!

Don’t be put off by the noise comment folks this car is as quiet as a mouse compared to my 2017 Mazda 3 Huge upgrade in tech, safety and standard features too.

I pick up my cx30 GT today in Canada and your review is making me nervous especially about the road and wind noise, lack of power or zoom zoom, nav system rotary dial and no climate control. I should have read this before I purchased it. I am hoping that the GT offers me some extra features that the basic model doesn't. Due to shortage of cars at the dealership I ordered mine without even sitting in one. Now it has arrived. Based on your review I hope it works out for me.

Cars specs can vary greatly in different countries. In Canada I’d imagine heated seats and steering wheel would be standard where they are not here (it just doesn’t get that cold). I’m sure your new car will be great and Mazdas are very well made so you’ll have nothing to worry about. Thanks for watching!

@@4wheelsandaseat you are correct. My new cx30 GT is awd, has heated seats and steering wheel, 12 speaker Boise audio system, camera at rear and side, it detects obstructions, has a block heater and remote starter. The mazda app is amazing. It alerted me to the fact that the door was unlocked. Road noise you mentioned is not apparent and I found the navigation system easier to use than on my 2021 CX5. My car is the new platinum quartz colour with 2 Tone leather seats. And it's fun to drive!!!!

In Canada you shouldn´t have any Problems. You can order the 2.5L Turbo and you have 250Horses under the Hood and all the Goodies. In Europe we can´t get not more than 2L and 186Horses. AWD i don´t need not so much Snow like in America or Canada. More Sun and Rain.

A 1.5 L turbo reliability is questionable. That is why 2.0L NA engine is a better choice.

Awesome review except the part about the outdated CHR. I test drove it and I felt the CHR should be at least 10K cheaper since it had potato quality reverse camera, 8inch 480p touch screen, no head up display and interior was cheap plasticky as...etc

    • @4wheelsandaseat
      @4wheelsandaseat  Před 2 lety

It has been a couple of years since I last drove a CHR and yes the reversing camera was awful. I like the styling though. I feel Toyota have dropped the ball a bit across the board and are now being outshined by Kia, Hyundai and Mazda. Sales figures say otherwise, but people often stick with what they know. Thanks for watching!

If you're only going to talk about the Mazda Cx30 pure version that should be in the heading. Otherwise everyone will think leather seats are not available, that 2.5 ltr version is not available, also that electric seat adjustment is not available and memory too.

Does all the interior come with the blue ?

In that particular model it does, but I believe the higher spec models have different colours. Thanks for watching!

In the states, they're all awd

There are higher spec AWD versions available in Australia too. Thanks for watching!

Why don’t you test the manual as that would return peoples interest and bring back a good skill. People are just too lazy these days.
This is the povpak model you can’t have everything. The non touchscreen is a great idea that Mazda has done.

Yes I do enjoy testing a manual - just tested a manual Mazda3 and it’s awesome! Thanks for watching.

Most cars in the segment would have no gears or 1 gear CVT lol

That CH-R comment really nullified this whole review. That thing is a piece of crap, and drives and handles like one. Toyota discontinued it for a reason. Plus, you're reviewing a basemodel... bad review overall.
