As an oldie coming back to air rifles for the first time since i was a teenager (now 60) i found this review excellent and the best i've seen by a country mile, i'm currently in the market for a new scope so this has been a very informative video, thanks very much for posting.. earned yourself a subscriber.. 👍🏻
Thanks very much for letting us know. Its always helpful to get feedback so we know we are producing content that is helpful. Enjoy your rediscovered love of the sport and come and see us again!
Love the comment that infinity is “plenty far enough “ 😊
I should have said 'and beyond' !
It's worth noting that parallax adjusting scopes (usually called AO or adjustable objective) is not a focus adjustment but rather reticle location adjustment, designed to place the reticle at the distance or location of the target to minimize parallax and increase accuracy. Focus is a byproduct of AO.
Great review, I’ve seen many scope reviews but with folk only showing you the body and sometimes the functions but hardly seen any with them showing the view through the scope which to me is a must when looking to buy a new scope.
A great very informative video which I’m sure will help so many people out there.
I hope so Jonathan. Thanks for taking the time to let us know what you think.
Love this review. Was hoping for a look see with the I/R...Subbed.
Loved the way you did your review! Brilliant! Thank you!
Thanks very much. I hope it was useful.
By far one of the best channels on CZcams .
That's very kind. We're proud of it too!

No doubt about it blah blah .. its up there with the best
@@markhomer5704 Thanks Mark.
+1
Significantly better than the likes of Steve Allen & Matt Manning & some of the other dross hosted on here.
@@harrybatt998 Very kind of you Harry. We appreciate the feedback and encouragement.
I appreciate your style as I have ADD and loose focus quickly but you hold my interest Thank you Sir!
Enjoyed that. Good knowledge put over well for a newbie like me. Thanks for loading it up
Hi Peter. Thanks for your comment. Getting into the sport can be daunting - lots of opinions out there! If we can help answer any questions, please just let us know: hello@alphamilitaria.com.
Thanks Richard, very informative 👍
Thank you.
Great review Richard, and really in depth and informative.I think scope knowledge is the hardest thing to get your head around as a novice but really liked how showed the view through the scope.I think parallax adjustment is a great feature.
Thanks again.👍🏻😎
Thanks very much Justin.
Very well thought out review!!
Thanks very much.
Another oldie trying to get back into shooting , through this minefield of info , I’ve been subscribed to you now for a few wks Richard , great channel very level headed approach , just found this review very helpful , thanks 👍
Thanks Artie. And welcome back and please let us know if there's anything else we can help with.
A very informative video Richard! Cheer's!
Glad you enjoyed it
Really good and 'educational' run-through on these rifle scopes , Richard. I found this video very easy / enjoyable to watch and listen to, well presented.
Thanks for your time in doing this, it is especially timely, as I am about to buy a couple of scopes for my air rifles.
You're very welcome Reg - and thanks for saying so. Good luck with your scope purchases 👍
@@alphamilitaria2756 Thank you, I bought/ ordered two Hawke scopes today.
@@regsparkes6507 Good choice Reg! Did our video influence your decision at all?
@@alphamilitaria2756 Being honest, it did, somewhat.
Another great review. I have several airguns and most have Hawke scopes on them, all mid to expensive priced but also a Nikko Stirling on my TX200. I have used Tasco and Bushnell scopes in the past too but never stretched to Leopold etc
Thanks Baz. You can't go wrong with a Hawke or MTC for reasonable money. We've got a review on an Elements Optics Titan coming up soon...👍
Important subject. Great review I have 2 springers with Hawke Airmax scopes - very happy with performance
Thanks very much. Great scopes...
Good vid!
Great review
Thanks very much.
Hello Richard, another excellent video, I am still from the time that having a good scope only in dreams, fortunately things have changed,it is currently possible to have a good scoup at an affordable price,as you just showed, good job, thanks.
Thanks very much Luis. They certainly tick all the boxes for most shooters at a reasonable outlay. Thanks for your continued support of the channel.
Great review 👍 I've the Richter Optik scope that you've review. I have to say for the money I paid for it, it's fantastic for pest control around the farm.
Thanks very much. Great scopes for the money!
Best video on scopes that I've seen so far... Well done Richard!
Thanks George. We're glad you found it useful.
Nice reviews - subbed!
Just ordered the Nikko Stirling.
BTW - who does your music? Love it!
Thanks very much. I'm afraid I have no idea who does the music!
Great review Richard actually shows what they look like in practice, not many reviewers do that. At that price range I feel that Illuminated Reticules are a bit of a gimmick and I would rather the money was spent on the engineering or optics. The Hawke scope seemed to meet that criteria for the price. Cheers
Thanks Peter. Yes, I have to admit that I don't ever seem to use the illumination, but it is handy for those who don't have the best eyesight. And I'm with you on the Hawke. Thanks for watching.
Your bob on when you said Hawke were probably the most popular , ok there not the best , but value for money throughout there range is very good ( imo ) .. superbly narrated and informative reveiws .. and great goat beard trimming , ive actually found a " goatie " template on ebay ( adjustable ) for £40 .. may just invest , yours make mine look like a dead kitten on my chin ..
🤣 I like to look my best for you all! Thanks very much for watching.
So which is the best one?
Great video, did that Nikko Stirling come loose in the mounts or did the reticle fail on you towards the end when it went wonky? Thinking of buying one but have heard of failing reticles. Thanks.
Thanks Stephen. No, the scope was fine, the issue was related to the scope camera on the back moving about...It's a great scope for the money.
I just got a Richter 9+40 for 50 with a free sand bag rest front and back. Red led it's not to bad it's only a 22 Gamo.
Infinity is definitely plenty far enough. 😂 Joking aside an excellent review of these good budget scopes. 👍
😂It certainly is. Thanks very much for watching.
I got stuck really liking the Hawke Airmax , just what I 'm looking for but all I find is about 300-500dollars. I'm in Sweden. :/
thanks richard at least you showed the view and reticule unlike some reviews, maybe some night vision reviews would be well received [wraith] etc👍.All the best
Thanks Darren. We are hoping to review some NV gear. We have done the PARD NV008 LRF already. Did you see that video?
@@alphamilitaria2756 I must have missed it don't know how i thought I had seen all your videos thanks Richard

One very important point, the hawk scopes are covered by a lifetime warranty, any problems and they will fix it free of charge, if they can't fix it they will send you a new one , no quibbles or arguments, 😁👍
I am after a scope with a side parallax, Illuminated FFP ,something like a 6 x 24 x 50 for my HW97K springer ,budget is £150 could you please recommend a make ,thank you
Hi. If you can stretch the budget a little further, this is a great scope for the money uk.hawkeoptics.com/vantage-side-focus-6-24x44-mil-dot.html. Uttings have it on sale for £199 and you may be able to find it cheaper still by shopping around. www.uttings.co.uk/p121304-hawke-vantage-6-24x44-sf-rifle-scope-14-162//
@alphamilitaria2756 thanks buddy 🤘🤘🤘🤘
My scope keeps falling off the rifle. No matter how tight i make it after three shots it falls off. It's an old gun...I found it my loft after about thirty years...
So I am looking for a great gun and scope less than £300. A great scope would help as I am a terrible shot. Any ideas?
Hi Mark. If you really want to keep that old rifle, a decent of mounts and an arrestor block will probably sort you out. Let me know if you have trouble finding and I'll send you some links. Are you after a spring powered rifle? If so, I'd recommend the BSA Meteor Evo (£179) and Hawke Vantage 4-12x40 AO (£109) though you may be able to find both a bit cheaper if you shop around. If you're after a PCP you will need to up your budget by a couple of hundred quid at least I'm afraid. The Meteor Evo is a cracking rifle though. I reviewed one on here and ended up having to buy it! I recently reviewed the Meteor and the Hawke Vantage for Airgun Shooter magazine and they made a great combination. The other rifle to consider is the Remington Express. Again, reviewed on this channel. I hope that helps. Rich. Links to those reviews:

@@alphamilitaria2756 Thanks for the reply. I'll take a look at the Meteor Evo. Thank you
Scopes at this price range work well on airrifles rangers.. U only see the difference really when u in wooded areas.. When u see why people pay for the higher price glass.... Goid reviews
That's true. You also lose some of the quality as a result of the filming process. In all honesty I'd be happy to use any of them. Thanks for watching.
Can one buy these scopes in the USA ??? Where are they made Sir ???/ Thanks
You should have given measurements in ft/ inches Not everyone does the metrics bit
Well Biff, you've had nearly 60 years to get used to the metric system so hopefully you got the idea.
Can't get any of them online.
Hi Neil. I just did a search for all three and found them easily. I'm not sure if the links below help, but if you put them into a search engine anyway they should take you there.

@@neilappeal20 Thanks Neil. Unfortunately the vid's been out for a while. I hope you manage to track one down...
every go here for more details
Why in the hell would you have a Mil-Dot Reticle with MOA Turrets may I ask? Seems pretty Damn Stupid does it not? The optic is just as important (If not more so than the rifle itself) Save more money and get a far better optic and it will serve you well.
I'm guessing because many people who want to spend £150 or less on a scope are not going to worry about dialling in clicks for ranged distances but will zero at a distance they shoot at most often and the use the reticle markings to hold over and under. And don't forget that these scopes are aimed primarily at people who either don't plan to shoot at long distances, or who want an affordable scope to go on their affordable rifle. Thanks for watching.
@@alphamilitaria2756 I understand what you are saying, BUT would it cost any more money for a MRAD TO MRAD as opposed to a MOA TO MOA? I still do not understand why this is done (More so on less expensive optics)...
I appreciate your style as I have ADD and loose focus quickly but you hold my interest Thank you Sir!
Thanks very much. That's lovely to know. Enjoy your shooting!
