I picked up a 14x50 a few months back for my Daystate Huntsman Revere and it's a cracking scope especially if you want it for pest control due to the wide field of view.

Hi Giles, I recently fitted a red dot (springer), but I missed the magnification (eyesight 🙄).
x5 sounds perfect however, as I have Co2, and springers, I think this will finally push me to obtain a PCP 😊.
Love your 'can't be arsed' presenting style, (noticing it more lately 🤔), makes a refreshing change from the usual overexcited twits.

Very good Giles, a friend of mine has one of these, a different mag though. It is super clear and has a great field of view, it is just the eye relief you have to get used to (as you said), and if you are a glasses wearer, you really can't use the rubber eye tubey bit! 😊

Good review as always Giles. I bought one of these a year ago, after watching a Steve Allen clip. They are very good. However, I have only used mine a few times, and the on/off button does not work anymore. The battery contacts have given up the ghost. No amount of tinkering has got it working properly again. It still clicks, but to turn the illumination on, the whole cap has to be screwed in fully.
I've had one for a few months now, mine's the same as the one you have but is not a fixed focus, there's an un-graduated side parallax adjuster under the battery housing for the illuminated reticule, stickers for range markings are in the packaging. If you do use the rubber eye cup, the rear lens cover will fit inside it, a neat design feature. I found a pair of rings to fit mine to use it on 11mm dovetails, obviously one is redundant, eye relief isn't a problem as I have a PARD clagged on the back of it and don't use it without the PARD, it's also lower to the bore line than the supplied mount system so better for close range rats.
Would like to see more footage day and night with an add on, I'm in the market for a new set up and this really appeals to me

Excellent. You had me when you spoke of the "magic tube". If you had spoken of unicorn urine or pixie dust, I'd have to say, I just wouldn't have been able to take you seriously. Anyway, I'm now the proud owner of a prismatic scope with the all important Magic Tube.
Just been looking for a new scope. I need one for my Zbroia Sapsan. Still not sure which magnification to get though!

Interesting methodology, but parallax error is the difference between the image through one set of optics and the real image.
An SLR THROUGH THE LENS camera doesent suffer parallax, but a TLR Twin Lens Reflex does, because it has a viewing lens and a taking lens.
The method I use to avoid parallax offset is to back my head away from the optic until I get a shadow on the outside of my view. Simply center the visible portion and voila, no parallax error.
Giles realy liked the review, very thorough.I have a question for you or anyone else, I am looking for some advice about using one of the Immersive Optics scopes for HFT. I am considering either the 10x24, 10x40 or the 14x50 on a .177 PCP. Which model scope do you think will work best for range finding? I'm sure the image quality will be very good with all of them, I have previous experience using the Leupold prismatic, non-adjustable 1x14 on PCC's in the past. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, my budget is small and I would like to get it right the first time.

I love mine but it could really use a sunshade. It doesn’t have the advanced coatings more expensive optics use and I get a lot of flare when shooting towards the sun.
giles you can get a (chinese) short tube sits about half inch in front of the scope and will change the 5x30 to 5x 40-50-60 depending on which magnifying unit you choose..

i think fixed power ,the focus was adjustable

Prismatic optics are primarily simply to reduce the length and give a wider field of view.
You can remove the locating pin and change it with one of the others
