Filled in square is the best. Nice presentation.

Depending on how you feel about thin paper/ghosting, TRC has a TOMOE river paper insert w/128 pgs (#13) and it's no thicker than regular inserts

Great video! For more pages in the standard size, check out sterling ink, their N1 size is the travelers notebook size and they have 64 page, 200+ page and 500+ page options - but it uses tomoe river which is the same thin paper as the TN watercolour insert. I love tomoe river paper though so the ghosting doesn't bother me 👍

What a fantastic video! I started using a bullet (A5, Bullet Journal V2, hardback notebook) in January of this year. I have mine set up very similar to yours.
I love the look of the Traveler's Notebook so much, and have a bunch of ideas for using one, but I'm afraid I'll spend the money and hate it.
Your video was perfect for helping me make the decision to order one! I'm going to go with a small shop from Etsy for the cover (I like supporting small businesses when I can.)
But, dang, you really helped me!

Kunisawa Find Flex Notebooks also fit in Travelers Notebooks. 192 pages, I think.

The travelers notebook inserts are really pricey, but craft stores like Michaels, Joanns, and Hobby Lobby sell them sometimes in packs for better prices (though the paper quality may not be as good). Also, if you're at all comfortable trying a diy, it's not super hard to make tn inserts if you have access to good paper. I make mine at home with kokuyo paper I order on Amazon. Hopefully, this is helpful in some way. Have a great day!

I'm based in Japan, so the TN inserts are actually quite reasonably priced. But I appreciate the insight! Thank you :))

Thank you for this, I’ve been thinking about getting back into BuJo but wanted something different than just a normal dot notebook ❤

I didn't really study it ;^^ I went to an international school from when I was 6 so I kind of picked it up naturally. But I have studied other languages and I recommend focusing on listening and speaking since Japan seems to focus too much on reading and writing (which are important, but makes it hard to actually acquire the language). Hope that helps!

Hi, thanks for sharing this vid. I've been using TN passport for 2 years now but i find it sometimes the space is too tight to write, i had to 'readjust' the size of my handwriting at times just to fit into the column (fyi, i use the dated monthly & weekly for my TN passport). I am itching to switch to the TN regular just because of this. Do you bring this as your edc? Does it feel heavy?
I usually only use 3 inserts at a time.

I used to use it as my EDC. I've tried the cover with 2 inserts and 3 inserts respectively, and I think the cover with 3 inserts would be a bit heavy. I really wanted to like the 3 insert setup but it was a bit clunky because it was hard to get the pages to lie flat... I do think it's up to personal preference ultimately, but for me, I didn't find the 3 insert setup to be the best for my use case. Hope this helps!
