I was at this show. Red Rocks is basically in my back yard. One of the best shows I've ever seen hands down

Gojira live is an experience. There are good bands, BUT, they're hard to find. Even in the 80's it was difficult to find anything worth while. But with bands like Gojira and Jinjer, they gain notoriety through undeniable sheer talent alone
gojira one of the few bands where i’d recommend live performance reaction to first timers ..they got so much energy
Gojira is definitely one of the modern day greats...They have become my favorite metal band to come out in the 21st Century.

Kind of amusing that people who have only seen Gojira on youtube think this is a special performance, this is their average fyi. I have seen them 41 times over the years and it's pretty much always like this. Venues may vary but that level of energy and passion does not. Audiences though have been pretty shit in some places.
There is no where the mosh at Red Rocks...unless you want to crack your head open on the concrete stairs or wood panelled rows. I have seen rows of peeps go down like dominos when morons attempt to 'stage dive' through the decline. Hence, the lack of moving in the audience at this performance...
@@gregmarkel9528 Very true! Reading what I wrote it does seem like I'm bashing the audience here which was not my intention. I was thinking of the last time I saw them in my own home country and the audience while loving the music just stood there awkwardly still.
The art of dying is another amazing gojira track. But you can't really go wrong with any songs from them 🤘🤘.
2022 and still here ! Great choice to react at this f*****g piece of brutal art. i'll always be amazed by them.

Yes!!!! I call this the "eargasm" song. When I heard this live at Red Rocks I was in total awe.. the way that wall of sound hit you and then surrounded you was powerful and comforting at the same time. There are no words for how dope this shit is!
Hello from New England...im New to the channel and I loved seeing you lock into that song the way you did...Btw....That OPETH vid and whole show was recorded at Red Rocks, where it so happens that GOJIRA was on tour with OPETH and DEVIL DRIVER and they recorded their shows at Red Rocks....Glad I came across ur channel....peace from the Northeast
React to more Gojira man. They're the best band on earth IMO. I advise you to start with stuff from their 'From Mars to Sirius' or 'The Link' albums. However, that doesn't mean the other albums aren't also pure fucking masterpieces.
The Link Alive is probably my favorite album of all time. This band is exceptional.

Gojira the axe. Live brixton academy is a masterpiece. Gift of guilt same show might be one of the greatest song/ show ever. Live brixton academy = Seattle 89 imo
If you want your head melted, have a go at Remembrance live at The Link Alive. Probably the best metal song/video on the entire youtube. If you want the heaviest breakdown ever, i'd say Clone.
(If you have a free hour, just check out the while The Link alive concert, it’s in 2003. Gojira in the old days had the most amazing guitar tone ever)

Gojira is a deep experience. Focus on the lyrics too. It's a journey. Far underrated. They are a band of soul and integrity. Seen them 15 times and have met them. They are just humans doing art well. Go deep bro. Enjoy the journey. BTW, that song is from their last album which was written in remembrance of their mother who passed. The singer and drummer are brothers and they are all friends from way back. Go down the rabbit hole. Be well and be safe.

Yeah they were named Godzilla. Then due to copyright or legal issues anyway they just went ahead and changed it to the way the Japanese sound out the word Godzilla... Ie... Oh no look it's Gojira.
Yeah thats the funny part. They just changed it to the Japanese translation of Godzilla so they still get away with calling themselves Godzilla lol.

I’m an old school guy who loves the 70’s and some of the 80’s hard rock. Sabbath w/ Ronnie & Ozzy, Zepplin, Rush, Boston, Van Halen, Rainbow, Purple, Dio, Priest, Maiden, etc.,etc. So you know where I’m coming from...
To me this was in two words...... Boring & Repetitive. The beginning is the end and the end is right where it started. It goes nowhere and it takes forever to get there. It feels like it’s never going to end. Guitars and Bass are repetitive therefore boring. The drumming is awesome but even that after awhile gets boring because its repetitive. It sounded like instrumental background music in a movie. Vocals... Let’s just say I’m a huge Ronnie Dio fan. Enough said.

I listen to most of the Bands you mentioned too, big into rush, but when slayer came up i got into thrash and later hardcore.
And man try to be open minded or itll be to xour disadvantage
As i said been into extreme music for decades... and discovered the beauty of rush or pink floyd just recently... and this works also the ohher way around.

@@jensbaumann6945 Exaclty, it's his opinion, cuz Gojira has enough musicianship to make 4 different bands. Plus, their sound changed over the years, but most of the times an old head rocker/metalhead it's too much of a closeminded person, it's a matter of listening to a coulpe more songs from different albums, and if not, keep listening to other stuff and stop complaining about it
