Is it just me, or am I seeing a whole lot of hate in the comments? I've been reading things like "he's a sellout" , "he doesn't care and only wants money" , "he doesn't state hardcore facts", and etc. But let me get it straight to you guys. Mat isn't a sellout if you look through some of comments in the past some stated they wanted merch. He DOES CARE ABOUT US. If he didn't care he wouldn't have put the effort of making videos, opening a fan store, and taking weeks to research facts. And finally HE DOES STATE SOME FACTS IN HIS THEORIES BUT THINK.... I can imagine it now, the day I see someone wearing a Link is dead T-shirt. I'd walk up to them and say, "You know Link isn't really dead, it's just a theory.". Then we would look deeply into each others eyes and yell "A GAAAAAMEEE THEORY!!!" Then we would both rip off our clothes revealing THEORIST singlets and underwear. I assume at this point the people surrounding us would be chanting "HEROES" or something similar.

This is probably one of the best visualizations I have ever received from reading a comment. I can only imagine how perfect such a situation would be. It would be so incredible, that any clothing in the immediate vicinity would be forced to become game theory merch. And then it would spread across the globe at an incomprehensible rate. In an instant everyone and their sloth will be wearing game theory merch, and I would be the only nude man at that moment. Naked, cold, alone and with fluids leaking out.

I think a shirt saying "Game-spiracy Theory" or "Game-spiracy Theorist" would be pretty cool. As for as the End Card Tournament, I would have gone with the Companion Cube one if it said something a bit more clever like, "Companion Cubes are people, too!" Pretty similar but not quite the same...
So I'll just go with the GT Logo.
I believe the main reason for the shirt saying "The Companion Cube Is People" is because it is a reference to the movie Soylent Green, where, *spoiler alert*, one of the last lines of the movie is "Soylent Green Is People!"

Allow me to clarify my point a little. See I am not extremely popular, but I have a lot of friends, a lot of people know and like me, I have a lot of popular friends. I like to maintain my image. I also like fashion, dressing in popular brands and such, people appreciate fashion and the way you dress. You might not care but let me tell you, it gets you noticed a lot more ( specially by the opposite sex) if you are wearing expensive and nice clothing. Tommy, Ralph, C&C, Huff, etc, it all helps. I notice only the weird/greasy kids that our high school hierarchy seems to dislike wear these sorts of things. If I wear a game theory shirt (I am a loyal fan and have been for a while) people will ask "Whats that" and giving them the reply I would get a remark like "Oh" or "Oh okay" with their obvious disapproving eye roll or look. I am a huge nerd, and watch youtube and play games all the time, but that cute girl in math class (just being hypothetical) doesn't need to know that. how you present yourself in front of people is very important. If someone hates my sense of humor I do not care, but I do care how they view my appearance.

I understand that the people in high schools is pretty materialistic and that can affect your popularity, but I always wear nerdy and metal shirts at High School and I'm fairly popular. Anyway, there are a lot of different people, so you should just do whatever you want.
Appearance is key for formal. I understand that kind of thinking but that kind of thinking is left to die after high school. I myself was not very popular but I had few things going for me. I was poor and dating someone who was from a better off family. my SO had shallow friends and I was judged for not wearing what they were wearing. My actions of who I was and what I stand for earned me the respect to call them shallow and lame as fuck. As long as your happy thats .what matters but that shit dies after highschool and it should. I pity those who think they NEED the newest thing to be accepted. I did not let social status or social norms dictate how I live. I'm like the chick from kill la kill. Long story short, don't be shallow and be nice to people.

Your first thing... people who see the flaw in buying a shirt that you don't really see the design on because it is on you but you like to look at it/what is on it is a little flawed because you don't really see it most if not all of the time.
Secondly... If someone wants something and you give it to them how is it an intent to get money off of people? The entire process of making the item and transporting it along with the time lost costs money. If you want "free" shirts a company needs to give this channel a deal or for the next year stop the channel and only end up making shirts for people who would gladly take a free item.

Do a theory on five nights at freddys part 2 mainly because the 2nd game out and your last theory was wrong
You can't say his last theory was /wrong/. FNAF2 turned out to be a prequel, not a sequel, so if the guy who wore the Golden Freddy suit and murdered the kids (which is what happened, as revealed in FNAF2) started having nightmares about the new, lower-budget Freddy's, it wouldn't even be all that weird, never mind implausible. MatPat's theory was that FNAF1 was the nightmares of the murderer, nothing more - which means it has nothing to do with the Freddy's of the waking world - so even if the mechanics of working at Freddy's were COMPLETELY different in FNAF2, it still wouldn't prove MatPat's theory /wrong/.

The Golden Freddy SUIT is the one used by the murderer to lure kids into the back room, as Phone Guy says in FNAF2 on night 6; the check you get after night 5 in FNAF2 is dated 1987 (so unless you think "the Bite of '87" was in 1887, it happens before FNAF1); the newspaper article you see after night 6 in FNAF2 makes it clear that Freddy's is closing and the new animatronics being scrapped, while the old ones are being kept in hopes of reopening, which is how the Freddy's in FNAF1 comes to be…there's more, smaller pieces of evidence, but I think that's more than enough to invalidate your statement of there being "no proof". >.>

Wow, Matpat. I stopped watching you with that "wii u is the next virtual boy" BS. But then i saw this video in my what to watch box. This is just my opinion, but I'm not gonna buy merch from you or any youtuber. It dosen't make me cooler or boost my self esteem or is comfy. I'm sorry but I just get a feeling that whenever I see a youtuber selling merch I just think "sellout" I don't watch your game theory videos because I think you're gonna make a video and make up evidence to make you sound cool and smart like in the wii u video. When in reality you're making videos and adding realistic stuff to games where there's no logic whatsoever. Just stop with the Game Theory stuff and get a real job.
If he's making money from this while actually doing some work, I think that counts as a real job. Also, "evidence" wasn't made up, but rather speculated based off patterns. I disagree with him on the Virtual Boy comparison but hey, that was just his theory. HIS GAME THEORY.

But if the research makes sense and it makes sense how he came to that conclusion to begin with, I think that's fine. You don't have to buy the stuff, but I don't fault him for attempting to sell it. You could do one based off of your Rosalina episode! The basic premise I was think was basically having Rosalina set up mid shirt, then on either side of her put Mario and Peach and just kind of splatter the reasons why they very well may be Rosalina's parents! You could even have Luigi peaking around the corner to throw in that angle and everything! I don't know, that's just what I have right off the top of my head.
