Although I have already synchronised my carbs, I didn't realise how much I had cocked it up!

Blue Peter carb balancing!!!...top job.
Do I get a badge? Thanks mate. It it running so much nicer. I am desperate for a test ride.
Clever chap indeed - great work - thanks for sharing!
Thanks mate. Nothing clever about it really. I wasn't convinced that my left carb was working correctly and I had run out of other options!
Wow, thats amazing. Proper fine tuning. Look forward to the test ride footage.
Looking forwards to doing one mate. Just got to find the time. On the bright side though, my go pro seems to be working again.
howdy Nat may I offer some advice . . go to auto parts shop and buy 2 x vacuum guages, they are inexpensive. Get some vacuum tubing - maybe from the wreckers, parts shop, hunt around you'll find some. Don't bother with plastic tube it implodes on itself and cracks, & will drive you mad. Next get a couple of quality air valves from an aquarium shop. Find some with a nice fine thread that gives you control. Suck on the valve in the shop and try it out! Make your own manifold adapters as required. Cobble it all together, done!
Hi mate. I would be interested to see the end result. Does it work well?
I have a ‘proper’ carb sync tester but had seen these made up a few times and wanted to give it a go. I was really surprised at how well it works (arguably better then my purchased one).
@@NatsNackersYard Hi Nat, if you spend a little time making it look good, and with joints that are gas tight it will reward you with a professional result. This is basically what I used in the eighties as a pro. Sing out if you would like some pointers when its setup. Richard.
great video..I to have a dial gauge but think I will make one of these..thks
Glad it helped
Well I never, ive never seen any thing like this Nat i am impressed how the bottles and tubes worked however I dont understand what you was doing at the bike
please please make another detailed video so I can get my head round it, or just say in comments lol
Basically adjust the carbs to make sure they are both working in sync...
@@nikroche2621 was it the air fuel screw? thanks by the way
No John. There is one screw that control the synchronization of both of the carbs to ensure that they are working in time with each other. The amount of suction that that generate the way that you tell so they should be pulling an equal amount. Mine were not!
My father thought he's a German genius, but dna says he's British.
?
what adjustment on the carb were you making? What fluid is in the bottles?
There is a acre between the cabs that balances them. I will put another video up in the next day or two explaining it a little clearer mate. It’s just colored water in the bottles.
@@NatsNackersYard Thank you
@@huutee1 just uploaded it mate. It should help
Brits don't do this the easy way.
Depends what you call the easy way mate.
