Hey Drew, I like the knife. Can see the versatility of the blade with the ability to chop and do fine shavings. Always interesting to look for animal sign. Trust you have an awesome week Brother! 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

Just found your channel a few days back and i have been enjoying the videos. The tracker is an interesting knife. I had the tops tracker in my hands for a couple weeks back in 04. I liked the design but didn't find it all that useful for my purposes. Not enough to keep it. It works but its too wide for a general purpose knife. In my opinion. Lots of other people like it.
The story or history of the knife or rather the design is interesting and worth looking up if you're into knife lore. It was probably designed by rob russon originaly. Tom brown made it famous but ive found that a lot of people these days haven't heard of tom brown jr. either. Anyway it was a fun video. Take care

@@timberdrifter8225 I appreciate you checking out the channel. I watched that video where the son interviewed Rob. Over time I've come to believe he's telling the truth. A couple months ago I looked into getting one of their Original Trackers but I don't think that's happening.
I used to have Tom Brown's book on tracking. His book about Grandfather seemed like there was a lot of exaggerating going on but it was entertaining and there's some good stuff in there as well. A lot of tall tales though, haha.
Appreciate you watching and thank you.

Hey Drew! No doubt, this knife is a brute! I’ve checked and researched this knife before. No doubt it’s a serious, do just about anything survival type knife. I’ve seen this D2 Pakistan Tacker before. Seems like it will certainly do the job very well. Thought I may have read that it is forged. Don’t know much about forged D2. Pretty sure D2 has great wear resistance but can be brittle. As usual it’s all about the temper. I suppose if the stock is thick and also add in that it is forged would make it damn rugged.
I think the original dude who designed these Trackers started making these recently.
You mentioned the Tom Brown Jr. Do you mean the one made by Tops Knives?
I can’t believe the prices of some stock-removal knives made by knife companies today. Almost as much as a custom made knife. With the availability of super-steels today no need need for a forged blade for some.
I wonder how a forged 8” blade Khukuri would do against the Tracker for survival/bushcraft. Throwing a Khukuri is a waste of time.
If I was to get one I’d probably get one from the Company you got yours from.
Didn’t know CVA still made rifles. I think they use to be mostly black powder. Might be wrong & have them confused with another company.
Shot placement is king but a nice big fat bullet making all kinds of damage in & out sure does help.
    Love the slo-Mo
intermissions with Bonzo & the Bergelmeister 👍🏻😊.
I think the Tracker you have from The Lord of Metal is the best pick. Seems like the craftsmanship is there along with a good price 👍🏻.
That Nepal Tracker looks awesome! Could be wrong but I bet that
is forged 5160. Good ‘ol spring steel.
Great video Drew! Enjoyed very much! Catch ya later!! 👍🏻💪🏻🇺🇸☘️

@@johnherlihy260 CVA does mostly black powder, you are correct.
I think a guy named Rob Russo is the original tracker designer. I was going to try to get one from him but don't know if that would happen.
Yes I was talking about Tops tracker model.
Appreciate you watching my friend 💪🏼🇺🇸🤙🏼 See ya!

Have you watched the easy going outdoors channel, he test the tracker knives made by origin knives, expensive but unbelievable knives.👍🏻 He does one called the STV tracker which basically means the straight variant.
