Best CM Iâve ever seen in my lifetime at Birmingham, absolute class act
Celtic fan here - hated him as a player but when you hear him talk heâs sounds like a really decent guy
What a legend! One of Rangers best! Made other players in the team better as well, would love a player like him in the team under Stevie G.

Selling pies and bovril đ€Ł
We all know how much his brother had in his decision to leave.
Leaving to go to bloody Blackburn for pennies (for a player like Barry) was a bit of a kick in the teeth. The fact he also got MoTM in just about every game he played for Blackburn just proved that he should've went to a team in the top 4 at least. You were my hero Barry, and leaving the way you did broke my heart.
I cried when you left. Wonât lie. Okay I was like 7/8 but damn I cried and I cried when you came back and I cried when you left for good. Why you do this to young me Barry
I was raging and only as I got older did I forgive him. We never knew the whole details though.
Same
Barry Ferguson, Rangers legend. Watched him as a youngster and going through the ranks to team captain .
We still love you baz always will be a rangers legend in his own right
Just love for this legend đŽâȘđ”
Fantastic player Barry Ferguson. Absolutely full of skill when he was on the pitch and a match for any team he came up against.
For me one of our greatest ever, gutted when he left, literally crying the night on transfer deadline day when the breaking news hit late on that he was on his way back up the road. Watching him live was just a privilege, the simplicity, yards he created himself with 1 touch, the driving into the opp gaps, pulling the team forward, demanding standards etc etc. Was at Wembley watching him run the English ragged the night Dom Hutchison scored the winner.. a 21 year old lad dominating apparent world class players. For anyone involved in coaching or kids involved in the game that play in that position, heâs the example. Pure class.
Barry Ferguson is the best Rangers player in my lifetime. He was a hero even though he's about the same age. Class act. Great club captain. He won us the league twice nearly single handed.
Damn.. I haven't seen Barry Ferguson on TV since Alex Mcleish days in the early 00s. Still looking good for his age
Natural leader and superb captain for Rangers, legend for life.
Thanks for everything Barry đđ»đ
My favourite ever Ranger. World class.đŹđ§đŹđ§đŹđ§đCAPTAIN
Celtic man here but always admired Ferguson. Proper professional. Great player. To be told your boyhood club that you dreamed of playing for were selling you must be really tough.
Best feeling was seeing you back home Fergie. My captain đŹđ§
wen he came back all he did was pass side to side and backwards compared to first time he was there he was always passing forward killer balls
As a Celtic and Scotland đŽó §ó ąó łó Łó Žó ż fan. This man was a fantastic player. Even with Boozegate the press made it out worse than it was. Was committed to both club and country. Excellent player.
I hope one day, Barry will return in a, Coaching role......
Good player doesn't necessarily make a good coach. Love Barry and hope he goes on to have a good career as a Gaffer.
Hes not a good coach at all.
Why, he's mediocre at best, so why?
Ferguson is a very poor coach..
Should be back in some capacity.
He's learned the hard way, and now seems mature enough to fill some role at the club. He's Rangers to the core, and would teach the younger boys what it means.

Best Rangers Midfielder I ever saw play for us.
Hated Ferguson with a passion when he played against us but I would have loved his passion in a celtic top back then with hindsight ive listened to him talk on many occasions and have a lot of respect for him now
As much as am a die hard Celtic fan gotta say he was some player him and Paul Lambert two of the best the country has produced

Would be really good to hear the full story from Barry. i feel he is holding back some information none the less he was one of the best who helped ranger's đđ
We all know he's leaving out that it was his brother who told him to go.
Hibs fan here, but always liked Barry.
Ma favourite Ranger.. Wee Barry đđŹđ§

Don't forget the games against Bayern Munich and Valencia. We should have gotten out of that group. Group of death and we came SOOOO close...
@@randommadness1021 weâve had some good European nights and some heavy groups
@@c4m774 that group is the one that always stans out to me as being the biggest underachieving team we had. If Mols hadn't gotten that injury, he might have been able to quickly get back up and belt the ball into an empty goal then only gods knows how far we could have went. To think a team like that never made it out the group but a team with centre backs playing as full backs, second choice keeper and only 1 left footed player in the whole squad made it to the UEFA CUP FINAL is just madness. Or was Beasley part of that squad? I know we played McCulloch out on the left in front of Papac quite a bit...
Great for rangers and absolutely fantastic for Birmingham City
Imagine bazza back at rangers in a coaching role? Rangers would most definitely produce the best midfield players in europe, imagine being a young midfielder learning your trade you have great potential and rangers ask you to sign for them, you get to work with one of the best midfielders England has ever produced in Gerrard and the best midfielder scotland has ever produced in barry fergusson and the best centre midfielder Scotland produced in the late 80s early 90s ,the amount of information these 3 guys could give you, that's an ibrox dream team plus would be fergies quickest route to the ibrox manager, obviously we are all delighted with Gerrard and what he's doing for the club but having that security knowing if liverpool lure Gerrard back to Anfield fergusson is the next rangers manager đ that would obviously be the perfect scenario for rangers and surely the convaere belt of midfielder's that would come through the academy would help rangers on the park and financially. â€đđŹđ§đŹđ§

I can remember meeting the Rangers team with loads of other fans in there hotel over in Bratislava.. fergie & hemdani got in the hotel lift after signing a few autographs and never saw me and my 7 year old son.. fergie turned round to hemdani and said âIâm sick of these peopleâ
Imagine tho every 5 mins of your life when your out in public people asking for your autographs and pictures eventually youâd get annoyed
@@Rfccfctml If that was the case then you would step back into the shadows after retirement... not pop up on the BBC, PLZ, Go Radio, the Record... come on mate Fergie, was/is/always will be/ an attention seeker.
@@terrencemunro I know what you mean and fair enough it is true but I think no matter who you are signing autographs and pictures will piss you off now and then.
Some people really take the piss asking for autographs hanging off shoulders, putting their arms around you tugging your jacket, shoving paper and pens in your face. Imagine this happenings several times a day. Some people think they demand a god given right to get their attention approaching them when they're in Asda with the wife and kids, tugging their jumper going Barry Barry Barry or approaching them at dinner tables in restaurants shoving paper in their face.
Personally for me, I don't even like shopping in my local Tesco cause I hate meeting people I grew up with having to stand chatting for ages so I go to far away ones, I can't imagine what it's like being famous
@@graeme2011 I've just burst out laughing at this as i've just moved back to where I grew up and there's a Tesco right next to me. After only a couple of shops I was telling my Mum last night how I'll have to do my shopping back to where I was before for the same reason as you.
He was right to want to test himself against top players week in week out. It is natural and should be an ambition for every player to aspire to play at the highest level.
But apparently beating Motherwell easily in front of 45000 adoring fans makes up for being out of Europe before Christmas.

Celtic fans watching this rock solid hearing Rangers & making money
He stood up at a player of the season awards ceremony and said he couldnt wait to sign on for another 4 years , month later he was off to blackburn ! Tell the truth barry you wanted to go to the EPL .
I'm a rangers fan, If i was playing for rangers, I would want to leave rangers to play in England, Spain, Germany, Italy or France to play at the highest level, because i know won't win the champions league realistically speaking especially in this day and age, so I would be happy to leave rangers to further my career
Was a season ticket holder when Ferguson left for Blackburn. He got dogs abuse from some of the support during his final match (against Hibs, I think) at Ibrox. It was a bit over the top.

He was never the same player when he came back. Didn't he have a really bad injury down there.
He shattered his knee cap in a game for Blackburn
Can't compare the Tierney situation. Arsenal are a bigger club than Celtic. That's not a money move.
He'll go on to even bigger things, he's too good for arsenal and any celtic fans still holding a grudge against him need a reality check

Best Rangers player ever
Are you serious
Great player but don't forget how he left second time round, with the Scotland saga. Disrespected the club and Walter by not keeping his head down after being told to. His performances after that were awful, especially his final game in the Scottish cup final
People make mistakes in life. Some are grateful for a second chance like Barry, who has learned from it and matured with age
Barry will gladly tell you he and McGregor both regret that Scotland decision and as a consequence what happened at Rangers because of it.
Heâll be the manager one day
Hope so đâ€đâ€
I love Ferguson but I dont believe his side of the story about having to leave to get rangers money. Hes already admitted he fancied trying England. I remember mcleish at the time saying they were trying to convince him to stay but Ferguson was 'troubled'
His brother was in his ear constantly telling him to go and test himself down south.
All rangers fans need to see this as some still hold a grudge against Barry and they don't know the full story.
The full story is the dog handed in a transfer request
Why? He's not telling the truth. He wasn't pushed out the door like he's suggesting here. He handed in a transfer request after winning the treble with us in 2003 and after thinking he had achieved everything he could with us listened to his brother and put in a transfer request.
@@randommadness1021 exactly. Broke his knee and came back, couldnât hack the pace of the EPL. Came back to Rangers did his bit, did some more. Walter Smith realised why he caused trouble and sold him to Birmingham City. He scored 4 goals down south for all his English teams.
