The Last Skier Standing (2022)

The Last Skier Standing is a last man standing "event," held in Jackson, New Hampshire and hosted by local ski shop Ski The Whites. The rules are simple: every hour on the hour, each participant must ski up and down the course until they don't want to anymore. For the first 24 hours, it's a fun, festive, and inspiring event. Then, with a handful of sleepless skiers and weary minds still skiing on, things start to get weird...and fast.

Awesome vid. The event would be more interesting if the lap was say 2,000' vs 1,100'. Then it would be more of an endurance race vs. a sleep deprivation torture fest. I believe the new course at BMOM is about the same vert, 1,200' Are you going to document again this year?

I did document it. And, on the race point, LSS is called an event, not a race, by the organizers, as it allows for people to find their limit. A 2,000ft climb would all but eliminate most of the original field from achieving this.
