As a Mother of two little Boys...am literally crying for the loss of these two innocent lives and also glad that the Bodies have been retrieved for the family to have a closure...nothing more touching than a Mother with a child through think and thin till the last breath...may God give the Widower strength to pass through this.

We don’t need swimming classes. We only need to obey simple rules and regulations. The ferry is made to carry passengers and not swimmers. And Kenya Ferry Services has clearly put in place safety rules that you switch off the car engine and alight from your vehicle. This woman disobeyed this ferry rule and drowned. She caused her own death is my opinion.
Rest In Peace beautiful Mariam and beautiful daughter Amanda. This should never happen again. Safety and emergency preparedness should be our first priority.

The pain ive felt can only be compared to losing a mother.it pains alot to know they drowned to death😭😭inauma sana!! Ive been thinking of everything that would have been possible to save them-the rescures diving and just take the mother and daughter as soon as the car was one ich inside the water..or maybe emergency team linking the car to the other and switching off the engine just before it sank...so many things going on in mind.been holding back tears all along.that baby was so cute looked so innocent and 1000% worthy to live for even a hundred and years that all these while i had thought theyve been alive-just for the sake of the wonderful baby. I was thinking to myself as they opened the car- natamani wafungue hilo gari and boom mother and daughter come out smiling and looking for the father- i was prepared to shout out scream.... I cant finish writing because i havent even began pouring my feelings.one thing i know is theyre still alive in my heart.i will be waiting for a miracle- seeing them alive on news
