  • In this video I bought myself a Maverick Strada DC Drift Car to compare against the FTX Banxai and the Tamiya TT-02 as a cheap alternative to the more expensive RC Drift Cars on the market. The winner between these 3 wasn’t an easy choice, the looser on the other hand was easy to pick….
Join me as I do a quick box opening of the Strada then head to Modeltune Raceway to pit these 3 contenders against themselves. The result is an opinion formed purely on the driving experience and ease of use at the time. If you’ve watched my previous Drift videos you will know that I’m not too shabby behind the wheel of a Drift Car…. Let’s just say, one of these cars made me look like a complete novice, I tried everything I could with what I had available to make it handle better, but it was clear from the outset that I was going to have my hands full….
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, if you think I’m wrong, let me know and if you have any suggestions to improve things, let me know…..

I purchased a couple of the MAVERICK STRADA TC BRUSHLESS MOTOR TOURING CARS . The first thing I did was to FIT HSP ALLOY BODY SHELL POSTS , and now ARE a really solid structure for body shell . The next thing I did was cut and trim a lot of the sides down of the body shell . Then cut the whole rear centre piece out of the rear body shell leaving the rear side panels . Lastly I had to adjust the whole camber of all 4 wheels , then adjust the toe of the front wheels to toe out . spent quite a bit of time on getting the first MAVERICK STRADA TC car to my liking and preference . Out of the box it isn't set perfectly , but after spending time on it , it's now an utter beast of a well handling car and fast enough for me at 50+ mph on a 3S Lipo . The oil shocks have good performance too . I've a boat load of only brushless on road cars , touring cars , rally cars , road racers etc , and some racing buggies and racing truggies . I paid £150 a piece for my two MAVERICK STRADA TC BRUSHLESS TOURING CARS , from MODELSPORT UK , a bargain , especially now since I have set one of the two , the one I am currently using .

Great review Tim! Enjoyed that. Can the same cars drift on tarmac as well?

  • @RhoryBurnside

Get some rubber tyres on the Strada and bring it out for some car park tarmac driving against some TT02s,TA02 and LC Racing 1/10s
