James also said today in parliament that all crime had dropped under Conservatives but a report has come out today saying violent crime went up 50% in the last 5 years

Cleverly, the home secretary, spent £165,561 chartering a private jet for a one-day round trip to Rwanda to sign Rishi Sunak’s deportation deal in Kigali.
n January 2016, the Labour Party proposed an amendment to the Housing and Planning Bill 2016[24] that would have required private landlords to make homes which they put up for rent "fit for human habitation". According to Parliament's register of interests, Cleverly was one of 72 Conservative MPs who voted against the amendment and who personally derived an income from renting out property.

so even if it was "only" 300 million for 4 volunteers to go how can anything cost that much it's unbelievable who is doing the negotiating for these contracts for a couple of hotel rooms
£300 million just to Rwanda Government. That excludes a lot of the other expenses that have probably been spent on this project. Over a 1000 civil servants working on this programme.... Sounds expensive

1000 civil servants working on the Rwanda Scheme - what an absolute scandal. Why don't we have an independent inquiry into the whole scheme? 300 million to Rwanda is shocking. He won't even commit to asking for money to be returned.
1:33 What went wrong was that leaders listened to and reacted to foreign influencers. Especially the media, every fact is told as a party issue and not the crimes of those in charge issue. Citizens will patiently only ask once. After that you can be guaranteed that they will remove a failed representative. Just to put that staggering Rwanda cost into perspective for those that find it shocking, Sunak and his wife's worth for 2023 was 830million. Rishi played the UK and is going to walk away, without any consequence, richer than the King.

Weird - Cleverly had great faith in the independent analysis of Civil Servants a few weeks back. Cleverly could have called them lies on the record in Parliament but he didnt. Wonder why.

You also spent money on court cases, buildings in UK, deportation centres, staffing etc so Labour is right and they should publish the costings too because it was a lot more than £ 300m
