That's one of the things I like in yugioh. Their naming conventions are all over the place whether they're puns or just corrupted versions of actual animals/places/characters.
1 thing I learned a while back is that gishki is a corrupted word of the japanese word, gishiki which means ritual. Meanwhile gishki in the ocg is called ritua
yea, if you ever watch the subbed anime, ritual summon is literally just 'gishki shokan'
TCG localization sucks, word play in Japanese is hard to translate but I hate when it gets changed to sensor a word. Like red archfiend dragon, in 5ds Jack says demon in Japanese

If Konami ever makes new paleo support, one can have the effect that you can set a paleo from your deck to the spell/trap zone, and it can be activated immediately. It's like trap trick but for paleo specifically. That way you can activate a certain paleo for a specific situation, and you have a paleo in the grave already that can summon itself.

The Cambrian Explosion is special because those were the first animals ever. Therefore all animals we know descend from the survivors of the Cambrian Explosion (some of their lineages went extinct and didn't diversify). We are descendants of Pikaia (ancestor of all vertebrates). That's why we like drawing cards NODDERS. You cannot help but imagine what life would be like if other lineages survived. Anyways that is why to me paleozoics are one of the coolest archetypes ever.
honestly with the recent trap monster support we've gotten from INFO it woudnt surprise me if we gotten actual paleo support in supreme darkness or some other set.
Paleos that both summon from backrow and gy sound like a nice direction for the archetype

I didn't know I needed this content in my life until now.
I still think they should release hand trap paleos that have effects like other hand traps, imperm obv, ghost ogre, d.d. Crow, skull meister, I think ash and Droll would probably be too broken, and not needed, imagine plaeo having 9-12 hand traps in archetype, might actually be playable then, these should all have bonus effects if you control other paleos too, so they’re better in archetype, or if played in mass. They should also give them more hand traps, or least playable from hand or set if you control other paleos, like needle bugs nest, wabuko, and a trap trick like card, this one is very important, it should let the trap only be playable that turn if it is a paleo with no need to banish, would make it unique and obviously great for being a starter, if you wanted to get really crazy, make it send one and set one with the same name, then it would be a 1 card turn 1 opa which would then let you full combo, wouldn’t even be that crazy cmon we have fkn FiendSmith snake-eyes out here. Another thing could be, just give them an archetype restriction, and then just make them even better, but at they wouldn’t be generic.

That Titanokorys bears resemblance to Cambroraster ( even Wiki says so ) so it could be printed as a Link 3 or 4 with boss like effects .

I knew about the animals the paleos are all based on since before I started playing Yugioh since I'm a huge paleontology nerd but when I went to one of the best paleontology museums in the world recently for the first time in years and got to a part where they were describing a Cambrian ecosystem I couldn't help but think about how literally every animal they mentioned had a paleozoic card with the exact same name.
2017 really did feel like several millions of years ago, yeah.
I mean, given that Herpetogaster is a plant mimic, it could easily be an in-archetype equivalent to Rollback for Paleos. Like, imagine _When this card is activated, you can declare the name of 1 "Paleozoic" Trap Card on your field, or in your GY, except "Paleozoic Herpetogaster": Apply the effect of the card of the declared name when it is activated as a Trap._
It'd encourage playing Pikaia and make Dinomischus even better, and act as additional copies of Marrella for MORE ROLLBACK.

Paleo synchro 4 that returns 3 banished traps to hand, counts paleo monsters as tuners or nontuners and idk, any playable effect.
Link 3 that's a towers and sets traps from deck.
Main deck effects:
Bounce 1 monster to hand
Negate 1 monster effect and it cannot attack
Set 1 paleo from deck with the same name as a paleo in graveyard or banish
Other ideas are a custom grass to mill paleo cards, a trap that keeps triggering so you can summon paleo monsters and it lets you xyz or synchro summon with paleo guys.
Idk how far they're willing to stretch the definition, but I wouldn't mind seeing a Paleozoic Eurypterida, or for the paleontology heads in the chat, sea scorpions

I really want Konami to innovate with paleos again, they can use them as a popular competitive modern control deck.
I would like it if they built more around link summoning from the link-2. For example a paleozoic continuous trap that once on your opponent's turn allows you to link summon a paleo monster and once per turn you can return a banished paleo trap to the GY. This could be searched by Opabinia or Cambroraster and can be activated from hand with Opabinia. Then a powerful Link-3 boss and maybe 1-2 main deck paleos.

Dude! Since Titanokorys looks like just a bigger Cambroraster they could totally design it so that you can just summon Titanokorys on top of Cambroraster kinda like how the train cards do. And since a bunch of the Paleos are named after train stations it would fit perfectly 👌🏻
The evoltiles, evolsaurs, and even the Evolzars are all named and/or designed after real prehistoric species as well
