Some algebra: Equation 1 is 2x + y = A, where X is the Xyz rank and Y is the fusion level. Equation 2 is x + y = B, where B is the level of the monster. Solving the equations for X and Y gives: X = A - B Y = 2B - A So when X is between 3 and 6 and Y is between 1 and 5 (based on OP's extra deck config), you can activate and resolve the cannon. Keeping track of those two sums alone seems like the much easier way to make sure you can activate it at the right time. So for example, if there are 14 total cards and your opponent has a Flamberge on field, that makes A = 14 and B = 8, so you should banish two rank 6 Xyz monsters and a level 2 Fusion monster. (2*6 + 2 = 14, 6 + 2 = 8)

In game 3 could the Horus player have made Lancelot to attack directly while Josh was on 100 LP, or would they have had to attack a ritual monster?

I kinda wanna try the metalmorph stuff in plunder but idk how much i wanna go in on it. 3 metalzoa 1-2 trap? 3 copycat, 2 trap, and 1 of each boss? Copycat seems like too much of a handtrap magnet to dedicate the normal summon to though. Idk, but i like the idea of it

This is gonna be Pog in Lair of Darkness. All normal traps are searchable, it only plays dragons and fiends, and you get rewarded for tributing monsters. I'm excited to see how it feels

The Metalmorph cards will be used as an engine in dragon and fiend decks. Since the cards are basically never bad to draw, they turn mediocre boards into something that’s much better

I think it's cool you can pretty much put it in any deck that plays level 5 or higher dragon or fiend monsters as a little engine. Don't know if it is worth it, but I want to try it in Chimera. Just three of the Zoa and one trap to tribute of a Big Wing Berfomet, the fusion Berfomet, or a Beatrice to get another interrupt with two potential pops. EDIT: Beatrice is of course a Fairy. Somehow I thought about Burning Abyss and "Fiend" popped into my head😅

I doubt this could be a deck in its own but could definitely see this be an engine in something else as its not bad and Im sure some formats having a none targetable monster from spell/traps being hard to deal with

Those Morganite cards are clearly meant to make you play less hand traps in your deck, but they give you no card advantage during the turn they are used and don't effectively protect you against your opponent's interruptions. Unfortunately, in this format it's just better to run a bunch of hand traps and some techs alongside your chosen one card combo.

I find it mad funny that any deck playing Black Metal dragon now gets a free Omni negate 😭😭

I find it weird we dont play the chimera fusions or SKull fusions. Since we can punishment dump those and then banish them for a cannon use later

Wait this is not that complicated, the values literally fill themselves. Say F = Fusion's level X = Xyz's rank C = Cards total in hand and field M = Monster's level on field All you have to do is find C and pick a monster on field for M. The difference, C - M, tells you what Rank to banish (X). Multiply X by 2, subtract that from C, and that tells you what Fusion to banish (F). You never have to guess what to banish this way. Another thing is that you have to pick a monster on field so that 2M > C. Otherwise, you'll have to banish a Fusion with a level of 0 or negative, which isn't possible.
