I’m not stuck but almost always have anterior pelvic tilt because I was born with an extra lumbar vertebrae. Thank goodness I’m a yoga instructor. Love your channel. Thanks for the fun!

Discovering ATM and how it affects every part of your body has made a huge impact on my life.
I am forever, trying to impress the importance to my elderly mother who thinks that lying in bed all day will fix all her aches and pains. Perhaps I am not explaining properly to her, but I do live in hope that one-day I will find a video that is dumbed-down enough that I can share with her and that she finally has that lightbulb moment I did.
    More videos about ATM!

This is great advice. I had a lot of ligament pain daily and several bad tears in my achilles tendon so rested and rested for years. At 68 I realized that I was not getting any better so, on the principle that”repeating the same thing over and over and expecting a different result” was the height of stupidity, I bought a treadmill and, painfully, started walking every other day for fifteen minutes. It hurt, my ligaments got hot and painful so I iced them and soaked in hot then cold water. Long story short, Im now up to 30 minutes daily with zero pain and a revitalised spirit. At almost 70 I feel fitter than I did at 55. 😄

Have APT and am experiencing very tight muscles in lower back. Also, sew my own dresses and have to allow for "sway back" of 2" over spinal area to get garments to hang straight when wearing. Don't know if that specifically can be corrected but will try out suggestions in your vid for APT. Thanks for all you do!!! It's great to have such knowledge available to help correct problems.

I have an anterior pelvic tilt. I actually didn't know that was what it was until about a year ago when I started doing research about lower back pain. I'm 36 and I've had lower back pain since I was a teen. I have to stretch my lower back everyday to try to release some of the pressure. I'm going to check out your other videos and see if they can help me.

I have enjoyed your channel for a while. Respectfully, for “lordosis” and rib thrust, I only did one exercise taught by a someone trained at the postural restoration institute which realigned my bones, balanced my pelvis in relation to my ribcage, improved my breathing and hip pain. It works by realigning the bones in relation to each other, along with the nervous system. It works crazy fast. And I had been someone who was a rib thruster and had lordosis for years, which was really just a fight/flight or freeze response from my childhood. I didn’t have to do strengthening exercises or stretching. Doing PRI has been a game changer.

I have APT, my mother, both sisters and two great aunts had it. I can stretch out of it temporarily without issue but cannot stand for more than a few minutes without pain. I can walk perfectly well and exercise but ironing, waiting in queues etc is agony. The worst effect is that I have a pot belly!

    For me it’s 5:18
Sometimes my lower back hurts when I try to have an anterior tilt because it looks like I naturally have a posterior tilt so I got curious to see what you had to say about this one
I began experiencing less pain when I began deliberately sticking my butt out when I’d feel lower pain. It took a looong time to feel relief
I discovered that when I observed my brother and father have that posterior tilt and my mom mentioned it too

I have a fractured T9 and my upper and lower back are slightly less mobal. I'm trying to understand why and how I can fix it with training and posture. So far I have a dowengers hump and soreness. My back and hips are tight. Lots to work ok and I'm a type one diabetic and Peritoneal Dialysis patient so I have a lot to focus on.

I think I have APT, I can’t naturally adjust my back but it doesn’t necessarily hurt to change positions. I do yoga, karate, and lift weights and I think I’m generally flexible and strong, but I can’t for the life of me get my butt to stop sticking out! The only reasons this bothers me is because my stomach bulges out and my lower back sometimes starts hurting if I’m standing for long periods of time (feels like the top of my butt is pinching my lower back). Just wondering if you have any thoughts or suggestions on this. Thanks! Great videos 👍

I have anterior pelvic tilt because I have a anterior wedge deformity t7 of my thoracic spice wich gives me a hunch back so could you still fix anterior pelvic tilt? And my lower back muscles get tight if I'm standing still too long in a standing position I wonder if you could give me any advice on this?

I have severe osteoporosis and anterior pelvic tilt. Docs say not to arch the back fowards like bending over, with low bone density. Any thoughts on this Matt?

    • @Uprighthealth
      @Uprighthealth  Před 3 měsíci +5

The less you move, the less you're able to move...
Low bone density gets WORSE without loading...
Seems like the healthy choice is to learn how to move better, then move more, then with load. My non-medical opinion!

Seriously the worst sport. It's like being addicted to slot machines except you feel compelled to buy a quiver of your own slot machines and if you're not careful (or are just unlucky) you can crack your head open and drown.
Also very hard to attend to any real life responsibilities when you're at the whim of the weather.
