does anyone know why he set his kit up like that?
I'm guessing a few reasons but overall it's to be closer to the audience. Drummers don't get much time to be "in the face" of the crowd the way vocalists or guitarists with mobility do. Also his style is very animated and sitting sideways gives the audience a better view of his antics. Kind of like a how a concert pianist sits sideways, so the instrument isn't blocking the performer.
But why side ways? like ive bands set up in a line like that. Idk not being able to see my band mates would make me so nervous
