They played here in Finland last summer. I was in front row with my wife, and when they walked on stage it smelled like stepping inside to a barn.

I've watched this clip for a couple of times, always hoped that they would play Finland. Couple of months ago they did, and I saw the whole show from a meter away, even chatted with Dixie Dave a good while. One of the most genuine and nicest dudes I've ever met. What did we talk about? About the app where you take a selfie, and it turns you old. Dixie told me that their drummer tried it on him, they didn't notice a difference on his appearance one bit. My ears are still bleeding.

Maryland Doomfest 2018. Three days of doom and stoner rock. Great time. Great bands. Earthride, Midnight Ghost Train, Windhand, all great. Chill crowd, almost no moshing the whole weekend. Dead last band of the whole thing, midnight on Sunday is Weedeater. Everyone wiped out, tired as hell. Their first chord, place goes OFF, I lose half a toenail. Worth it. RIP Carlos.

Was getting fucked up all night and started looking for a bus to San Antonio Tx from Laredo.......all buses booked solid......oh well won't make the Zeke, Weedeater show.....get a call at 3pm ....be at this shuttle van station 5pm sharp......had a margarita in Mexico....crossed back to Texas.......caught the van .....ended up at the show......beers and tequila shots and 8 ball in our pocket...Zeke and Weedeater live. ..fucking blast. So how exactly do all the kids from the early 2000s post-hardcore/emo bands destroy their voices after touring for a year and have to get some surgery to fix their vocal chords but Dixie has been screaming like this for over 20 years with apparently no issues.
