Agreed!!! I always liked this lineup! Super aggressive drummer who sets up center stage in the front, that adds so much energy to the live show!! Then ya got Shep playing his 1970’s era Les Paul Customs through multiple Marshall Plexi and JCM800 Stacks (no less than two full stacks of course)!!! Then Dixie runnin a cranked Sunn slave head and Sunn concert head on top of multiple cabs! I think he uses a Mesa 2x15 and another 2x15 or 4x15 stacked long ways on top each other the kicker is that he plays Squier P-Basses usually black on black I think! I heard he keeps the regular bass head with everything on zero except the bass and volume knobs are on 10, and the slave head is only a volume knob and that’s on 10 at all times. Truely defining low-end bass!!!

@@MarcusMoji The bassist/frontman Collins, also played and toured with OM and Bongzilla. I can't remember all else but... I want to go visit with my own band. We're practically in hopping distance away from their hometown. We just finished recording our debut and gig here in Bristol, TN: home of country music. But as hard as Weedeater is, you can tell it's also home to the southern hospitality and knock you out for messing with my whiskey. Or our shine.

I seen these guys live once! Never heard of these guys until I got to the show! I came out of that a huge fan! Before the show the lead singers comes out and says we really suck! Damn he was wrong on that!
Dynamics & knowing key components are essential, along with passion, the passion was there.
Never would I have reckoned that 'Southern Stoner' would play beyond the great Gates of Kiev. But there it is, that was a great crowd That is friggin' bad-ass|!!!

These favorite sons are just carrying on that tradition of Hank Williams, Chuck Berry, Elvis, JR Cash, and Elvis! Certainly keeping that traditional southern groove alive from bands like Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, and throwball dat in a blender with the first four Sabbath albums and you have Weedeater!!!!! “Theirs no place I’d rather be than right here, with my white trash, rock n rollers, and, blue ribbon beer!”

These guys are one of the original southern doom metal bands. There members have been in bands like buzzoven ,bongzilla, barstul, and others. They put on a great show and are very friendly dudes. Go see them if ya have a chance you won’t regret it!

I stand facing my drummer the whole time when we play. ie never understood a need to stand facing the crowd im not singin and dancin im just pplaying a guitar aint much to look at haha
So they can marvel at his bad assery. Duh. Lol.
Travis puts a lot of awesome tricks in his drumming so it's probably to show that off some more! And he's also not in the back and being ignored as much.
