- Batman: Arkham Shadow is an official new entry in the Arkham franchise, featuring the same blend of exploration, stealth, and free-flowing combat the series is known for. The only difference? You are Batman.

They showed all the events that unfolded in the Arkham games leading into Suicide Squad which means that suicide squad is cannon. Batman is dead. So therefore this is either a different earth which means he is alive since you can play him in suicide squad or he is dead in that earth because it’s on of the earths he is dead in. I’m hoping that he is alive in that earth and they do very well with him, I’m talking making us scared of his tricks and games.
The only positive I can say is Roger Craig smith is a pretty good Batman, so good casting
Edit: I know Kevin Conroy is the best but he’s not here anymore so that’s why smith is the next best option
For a young Batman yes but Kevin captured the seasoned Batman pretty well

And it's likely that it won't be as good as any of the other Arkham Games anyway.
VR is the best way to game. Why should they continue to waste ressources into gaming like 1990 by looking through a window and remote controlling batman with button presses when holodeck technology became available to consumers with Vr

I'm starting to sense that some people still think that VR titles are tech demos rather than full length games with gameplay with a ton of depth. Looking more into Arkham Shadows it seems like a full Arkham Game with the gameplay you'd expect just in VR. Free Flow combat within a VR headset sounds crazy so hopefully they pull it off. Could be what Half-Life: Alyx did for first person narrative shooters only know for Superhero titles.
We have an idea, let's aim for that 1% of gamers, we are geniuses.

Meta's sales from the last few years are nearly as high as XBOX's and 1/3 of teenagers use VR. They aren't aiming for the 1%, they're aiming for the next generation of gamers.

@@garfieldfan925Meta (Facebook) probably funded the game to begin with. WB isn’t really interested in single player games anymore. They are chasing that live-service hit. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Hogwarts Legacy 2 become live-service as well.
Bloomberg article already said that it’s mostly Sefton Hill’s fault, but the return of the Justice League is definitely planned and written to happen in Season 5 of SSKTJL, by Sefton Hill himself before he left Rocksteady back in 2022.

The Arkham Series was founded upon console releases.
It makes no sense to have this be exclusive to a VR system when previous games weren't exclusive to anything.

I’m just convinced Warner brothers is allergic to money, all they need to do is make a Batman game, copy and paste Arkham knight mechanics, give a good story with attention to detail, and you have a game that will make millions if not billions from all the people wanting a good Arkham game

Look, even if this ends up being the greatest game ever made...they're basically asking 500 bucks for it...since it's MQ3 exclusive...
Chances are it'll come to PCVR eventually, and the more incentives they create the more people will buy a Quest 3 which will hopefully get more games funded for VR. I know several people who just have a Quest 2 or 3 as their console, so it's already attracting the casual market.

No dude. We had 4 of those games. Technology gladly evolved past looking through a window (=tv) and pressing buttons to remote controlling Batman. We want this on todays technology utilizing Holodecks.

@@coolertuep Bro serious gamers have set ups with two to three monitors, gaming PCs or consoles that has hyper fast processing and high quality graphics. You're not a gamer at all. You just like things that are new. The only thing I could see replacing PC and console gaming is the full dive experience. Other than that VR isn't as popular as you think. If it was then more games would be going to that platform. But as you can see that's not the case.

why not? I like the idea of having a pretty unknown villain for once. I'm tired of seeing the Joker over and over again, just because the writers know no other villain. with someone as unknown as the Rat King they have a vast artistic freedom to create something new and creative. I'm rather interested in finally seeing some gameplay. thats what truely will be the dealbreaker or closer

Along side an arkham origins sequel would be fire man. Maybe its the game where harvey dent gets introduced and he turns into two face with the mob being the villians.

I don’t mind them making this game as long as they don’t destroy the lore that the old creators worked so hard building. The first 4 games had so much care put into story details if they don’t do their research at least im going to boycott them especially after suicide squad.

When VR is done right it's not remotely like Gary's mod. Assassin's Creed VR and Asgard's Wrath 2 are 2 very good Quest exclusives for example, full games and not clunky.

A disappointment for me, but perhaps this disappointment is the birth of new hope and the continuation of the Arkham series in the future
So, we're going to do a new entry to the absolutely beloved Arkham video game series, the last entry of which came out 10 years ago and was met with mixed reactions, nevermind the failed Gotham Knights attempt, and our main villain based on the trailers isn't going to be Two Face, or Penguin, Mr. Freeze, or the Al Ghuls. It's going to be the Rat King.
