This is very close to the loadout I’ve been using against bots lately. The AMR and Punisher Plasma just have this perfect synergy especially with the stun grenades where you have multiple ways to stun big enemies like rocket/heavy devastators and Hulks to quickly deal with them, I think you did a great job showing that in this video and I hope that more people will realize playing solo is a legit strategy when using loadouts that can do several things at once.

Dang! You were an incredible shot with the AMR, and quick with it too. I tend to run either that or the AC, but I've been mostly spraying body shots.
Thanks :) i try to go for headshots on devastators as much as i can but under pressure i just spam bodyshots and they will die faster than taking the time to aim for the head.

Im slowly working my way up the difficulty levels and 1 day hope to be able to run a 9 solo like you can. I'm barely able to complete a level 4 right now and thats without even doing side objectives, just main mission and trying to survive extract. Im getting there though
you need to get all the upgrades and the important weapons and it'll become much easier to do low difficulties

Love this build. I run the same build against bots but I occasionally swap out the AMR for the laser cannon. Against the bugs I swap the sniper out for the stalwart and bring an EAT for heavies. Regardless the plasma punisher is underrated in my opinion. Hardly see anyone running it.
I take it you really rate the plasma punisher against bugs? I saw someone complain it was like ‘pushing dirt around with a mop’ because it staggered but didn’t kill fast enough.
Haven’t tried it myself yet.
@@Southpaw_Blue Imo good for teamplay for keeping them staggered, but takes 4-5 shots to down a devastator and can't headshot. However, given the curve of the projectile, you can use it as a mini-mortar to take out enemies inside bases while they can't shoot back. Definitely a unique weapon with unique uses and good crowd control at the cost of single-target TTK. Give it a shot and see how you like it - definitely a strong pick.

I've been running a very similar loadout but with scout armour and jumppack instead. I definitely want to try the supply pack now though, extra grenades, stims, and ammo seems great for those drawn out fights. Normally I retreat when that happens, and then struggle to get all objectives done in tome for extract

Thank you for posting.. very interesting work, galactic commander sir! 😁 I like AMR on automatons.. but I somehow diverted right now to airburst rocket launcher combined with scout armor(because of radar pingz) ... this armor you´re wearing looks cool and stats are also interesting 🙃

@@AgentYetiYT Imo it has its place for removing the infantry that call reinforcements immediately, and it can close fabricators and destroy tanks if you aim at the right spots. For fabs, looking at the ground up, from the side, aim right above the first light away from the front of the fab. For tanks, aim for the line between the top/turret and the body.
However, I think AMR/AC/Laser cannon are better picks for playing with randoms because of their ability to deal with gunships, especially if you have grenade pistol to close fabs. Can't trust randoms to have your back or communicate on objective priority.
@@thepromman yea i guess the Airburst could be very beneficial to have in a team but not in solos.
I play Bugz mostly... experimenting on automaton front with this weapon so far. What is decent, you can actually attack dropships. I dont need shoot dropship down, good hit on underbelly just wipes all its load out. You can take out most of automaton patrol if you are very lucky(on bugz its standard). Im used to Shoot-and-scoot therefore that scout armor Im wearing(actually I dont sneak as much as Im mainly using radar PING for battlefield awarenes). I fire rockets on very long range sometime outside my LoS via radar. I think I need more agresive approach(go close to actually see taret properly etc.) on automatons, this is why I like that your armor in video. Im coopplayer I do not solo... I like to try maintain local dominance for my team using HMG twin+cluster launcher+orbital rail cannon atc.

I see the loadout and i already know punisher plasma is pretty much there for emotional support.
haha it´s there to take down light bot enemies and stop shield devastators and berserkers from surprising me. i also use it for destroying tanks and cannon towers xd
@@AgentYetiYT I never even thought to try and shoot tanks/towers with it. But it does definitely wipe out a group of light bots quick

I noticed you went with medium armour for this mission. I’m curious what makes you prefer that over the light and heavy variants? Is it as simple as medium just giving you that preferred sweet spot between speed and survivability?
i use this armor for the fortified trait which gives you 50% resistence to explosions. light armors are too squishy even with the fortified trait you´ll still die quickly. And heavy armors are too slow which makes you an easier target and being able to take 2 more shots won´t make a difference. so yeah the medium armor is the sweet spot :)
@@AgentYetiYT Great to know. I’d drifted a bit to using the heavy fortified armour (looks cool), but was keeping my eye out for the light. Might now wait out for that Exterminator set instead.

It really is. Fortified is the way to go. Way too many explosions and the recoil control helps too. I tried medic today just to test and for me it’s a no-go. Fortified is just too good for bots. Save medic for bugs 😊
