Hi guys hope you enjoy this latest video of one of my purchases from Auction (aston barclay). Apologies for the quality of the film on this one, accidently filmed it in 24fps đđ
Anyhow enjoy đđđđ
Lee is so thorough on the videos, they are more like a buyers guide.
Looks like a sound car, looking forward to 2nd video. Don't know why some have such a downer on Peugeots. My 10 year old 208 drives as sweet as a nut.
That does look a really honest little car. My missus has always had Peugeots and never had any major issues. When we first met she had a 309, now she's got a 2008.
loved the 309 them pugs of 90s were brilliant
@@carukchannel I had a 309 GTI in red at one point many years ago. Mine was a bit rough and ready, quick though.
I got an 78k mile(I just hit 79k) peugeot 207 sport 2010 model there for 1350 - guy had it up for 1600 ... there's a coolant leak tho đłaltho it runs fine it's at the mechanic now
Look forward to the part 2. Good luck with the new premises - also looking forward to following the transition.
Excellent informative stuff. Thanks.
You know you've bought a good un when you turn the radio on and it's ' celebration' đ look forward to the finished article, thanks for vid.
I love watching your videos and how open and honest you are. Keep up the good work. Great content mate.
thanks richie đ
Look forward to part two. Also looking forward to the move to the new place. It'll be good for your subscribers numbers. Just hope you've got the time to keep going with CZcams as you come across really well and down to earth. đđđ
Will be doing more youtube rather than less going forward đđ
Great video Lee I had bought a Peugeot 207 3 door 09 plate in may this year as my first car runs like a sweet heart at the moment just wondering if it will be ideal for long distances since being an older and smaller modelled car. Again another great video Lee đ
Good content as usual m8. Looking forward to seeing your new premises etc. Keep 'em coming!
Much appreciated!
Great Video Lee, the Peugeot is a nice car, looking forward to seeing the new garage and sales area. hard work is paying off, well done.
Thanks đ
Nice one Lee. Looks like a nice little example. Perfect for a daily for someone. Looking forward to the update and also your new business.
Thanks đ
Looks like a nice example Lee , can't go far wrong there đ
Looks a really tidy wee car that, looks cared for as you say. I completely agree about giving the Prince engine a swerve. I had a Mini Cooper R56 with one fitted. Lovely car, nice spec but the engine always had issues, the biggest being valve stem seals. As a result it went through o2 sensors every 6 months as it smoked them out. I nursed it along for 2 years just topping up the oil until it blew out all its coolant in McDonalds car park one evening and that was that đ I replaced it with a Civic MK8 diesel.
Brilliant video đ·đž.
Good selkers when they work đđđ mine just sitting here feeling sorry for its self đđđ
Great Lee, looking foward to seeing the new site
Thanks tony
Another great video Lee keep them coming đđ»
Thanks đ
Can't beat a Kool and the Gang moment!
Just scrapped my 56 plate and then this turns up. It's destiny haha. Served me well. Ran into the ground. Absolute money pit.
Made it to 147,000 - but suffered badly from the oil leak that years spec suffers from. You could have probably got some spares off mine now đ€Ł
Great video you are a honest guy
thanks paul đ
Brilliant vlog you make it sooooo tempting to give this a go. Best wishes
thanks trevor
Nice one đ
Good little run around for someone, or a first car, good video đ
Thanks đ
Like the content Lee. Good honest info about all you do and experience. You seem a decent genuine fella too and I can vouch for that having met you at the MOT station talking about service history on a Mini not so long ago. I would definitely send someone your way if they was after a decent car on a budget. Looking forward to the next one.
many thanks and yes i remember the conversation đđ
My Dad bought ours at 2 years old , he never noticed the glovebox is Air conditioned , in the glovebox there's a vent obviously open and close. By closing the vent I'm positive it helped when closed inside the car. My Dad hasn't had Air conditioned touched in well over 5 years. Now we have it I'm going to get it done might as well keep up with the Air con. Ours has 63,000 but my Dad is a pensioner so maybe why it's reasonably low.
Excellent video Lee , nice little buy and yes 100% ÂŁ 1695 will fly out , nice family run about đ
Thanks ian đ
Great little car Lee, enjoy your weekend
Same to you
Looking forward to the next one.
thanks rob đđ
You will hit 20k by end of june pal honest informative channel đ€ long and prosperous future đ
thanks phil, got few videos lined up for next week so going to go for 20k by months end, thanks for watching đđ
Beautiful đâ€ïž
This is a very good car for its age Lee, it will make a great little runaround for someone đ.
Thanks skoda katie
Enjoyed this one. Under valued car the little Peugeots.
As long as its not a 1.6 prince engine im finding out the hard way đđđc

Just watched your video.Great appraisal because you have both mechanical and sales knowledge and experience.I only ever owned 2 Peugeot 309 GTIs when cost of petrol wasnt an issue.I may have to get down and check out an Aston Barclay auction and say hello if paths cross.Hope this one gets a quick turn around and flys out with a happy new owner.
if you ever see me please pop over and say hi, as for the 309 gti what a car đđ
Lee, for a man who's been sleeping in the back of an auction wreck, you're in surprisingly good shape
its all them pies and bacon i eat keeping me in wonderful condition đ
Gonna be a nice profit in this 207 for u Lee buddy...Paying ÂŁ484 for it u can't really lose on it...nice little earner and will be nice to see it all done up and what it goes for...Great video as ever m8...Good luck with the move m8...Well done Lee...đđ»đđ»đđ»đȘđ»
thanks neil always count on you to raise my spirits in the comments section. have a great weekend bud
I Love Bangernomics, had to scrap my mazda 6 as was rotten , gone back to a modern classic with a 1998 R reg Rover 400 414 SLi 49k on the clock clean mot till april next year what ever it's needed it's had , under the bonnet looks brand new with new alternator and belt cambelt done head gasket done full service new radiator , battery...it's nearly mint....what did i pay......ÂŁ995, and it's in the lovely Kingfisher Blue
sounds a gem lee, love a rover and i had one in kingfish blue too. been after a nice 400 or 45 for a while now am sure one will land at the right price soon enough. enjoy your 414
@@carukchannel cheers Lee
I had a 6, the same happened to mine. Most have rotted which is a shame because they were good cars and good looking.
Passed my test in an 07 plate 1.4 diesel 207. Good little cars
yes like a 1.4 hdi cheap motoring and has just enough power
Mate I gotta say those strips are amazing⊠they do a proper job⊠Iâm offendedâŠ. Joking :)đ
Great video bud
Thanks đ
Good luck with the move pal
Thanks bud
Nice 207 will be in demand at ÂŁ1695, good luck with new dealership
Best colour on a Pug, that and the red, always comes up nice after a polish.
Totaly agree my 308 is that colour đđđ
My 2012 308 is white - never been polished in its life and still as shiny as the day I bought it.
Nice little car. Think I would just remove the other rear headrest rather than invest in a new one.
Thanks for taking the time to upload - enjoyable and informative
No problem đ and thanks for watching
Never compromise the safety of a car. Headrests are there for a reason.
Iâve been looking for a 207 for a while now just for a little runaround but some of the prices people are asking for are pretty high here in our little part of Ireland at least Iâll get an insight into what to look out for
good luck wiyh your search john đ
Hi Lee. I hope you had a Nice holiday đ. That Peugeot is very very nice Lee. You can't go wrong for that money. Nice colour. You can tell its been looked after and it will probably go forever đ lol. Nice mileage. If it was over here in Ireland then I would have it for myself Lee. Anyway keep up the great work buddy and Chat soon đđ

seen a lucicrous proposal in the news section of fining drivers 5k for using car aircon
sounds about right for this day and age george

Nice one Lee ya Hobo đ€Łđ€Ł tidy motor you will get 1600 all day long luv the colour of it have a Top week đâïž
Thanks bud đđ€Ł
Hate with a passion when they underseal repairs! A rattle can of blue hammerite would have looked better. Cracking cars the 207 were.
yes annoys me to i dont mind if it was low down under the sill out of view but there was just silly. anyhow i will sort it and make it a looker again
Not a bad motor at all considering its age.
Brilliant thorough video again
Thanks for watching john đ
Great bid. For nowt. Prince engined Mind. 5 door. Not much dough. Did I leave another comment that was deleted. I was out for a pint tonight.
Nice one Liam.
Thanks đand only the wife calls me liam đ€Ł
@@carukchannel đ€Ł OK Lee!
Will make someone a nice motor đ
Hope so! Thanks for watching David
I had a Peugeot 207 verve 1.4 2010.
Cam chain broke and knackered the engine.
Certainly wasnât a âCelebrationâ đ€Ł
That one looks smart to be fair , nice price in the auction .
if was chain then it was the later prince engine which is used in a mini, they are temperamental things and i buy them with caution and always check them over before looking to throw money at them for prep
Correct, working AC in an old car means something. It's not like a National Trust sticker or a bible in the back seat (it was previously owned by a nunđ), you have to pay for it. Not just gassing up but quite possibly a new AC rad. Money boy, it speaks. đ

Hi Lee love every video you post. Can I ask for a little help. I have a 2007 astra H 1.9 CDTI engine. Cleaned the throttle body valve removed it for the clean. Could see the inlet manifold has lots of carbon built up. Don't want to take the inlet off car as it seems to be a big job. Can I ask would it be ok to disconnect the air intake pipe and spray carb cleaner through the throttle body valve into the inlet manifold and have the engine at 2000 revs as I do it. Would this be safe and would it help decarb the manifold. Please help.
If you spraying a little bit at a time it would make some difference, I use the JLM cleaner personally when cleaning out throttle bodies but you need to spray a little at time and avoid pinking the engine to much. However if its built up badly then sadly the only way will be to remove it and get it cleaned off the car. Also note on the CDTI engines of this period some of them 150bhp models had swirl flap manifold systems that break up (made of plastic) and causes running and lag issues and can put the car into limp mode.
Hi Lee thank you for taking time to reply. One more question if you please. If I get jml cleaner for the inlet manifold when all the soot goes to the exhaust would it block the catalyst converter) cheers
@@Paul-wz1fl The cleaner is a solvent and will mainly combust in the chamber with the carbon deposits it breaks up. I would not be to worried about blocking a cat up. There are plenty of videos on YT about the jlm product and shown how to use it and it working. worth a look
They don't tend to go on the bodies these as most french cars are usually galvanized. đ
yes there level of protection on Peugeots is very good
Morning Lee. Just watched the Peugeot 207 video. Where do you advertise your cars for sale? Iâve looked on Auto Trader etc but canât find you. Thanks John
hi john for years i always sold cars from my workshop a few at a time then fix some more up etc, mostly sold to locals but on occasion would put the odd one on autotrader. i also put the odd car on sale or return with other car lots i know. however i am setting up a full time site which will be open august. will update then how to find me
Great car for the money , Also ive got to be careful , took my car to a local mechanic just to have shocks and springs fitted but when i got it back they have broken the plastic trim above top mounts and the windscreen wipers are sitting too high at rest now , not good , may just buy a new car next year on finance as the mechanics where i live are not trustworthy
any ideas what your looking to buy next
@@carukchannel Probably a little Nissan Pixo something small cheap to run and has AC as my old Colt has no AC and in this heat its a nightmare đł
So I have recently bought a 207, 4/5 doors, black, petrol. The number of the engine starts with KFU and then some digits. Is KFU the BMW produced engine or not? The car was made in 2008. Also, I've heard people complain that 207 has problems with electronics. I dunno if I should just... sell it and never buy any Pug again.
Iâve had my 56 plate same engine since 2019. One previous owner bought for ÂŁ500 with 66k now on 73k. Funny you mention passenger side noise as Iâve a loud rattle had droplink replaced months ago and then this started brother thought it was the balljoint but new arm and still the same. My question is do you think either the top strut mount or shock cause cause it
i have changed many top mounts on them before, so very well could be
same car ın turkey is 11250 pound :)))
Is our car on the drive lol, you put my plate on your car is think it was ours. I can't believe how good the air conditioning is on ours.
the air con in this is brilliant, better than my own car
@@carukchannel You want to look in the glove box and see if the vent is open.its on the right , the vent twists to open and close I'm positive when I closed it.that it made a slight difference in the car.
Bargain buy that Lee, i think at ÂŁ1695 it will fly out the door. I'd be tempted to put it up at ÂŁ1995 đ
will see how i feel when its done and the price board is in my hand đ€Ł
I don't know why people are telling dealers to put their prices up! 1695 seems fair. I probably wouldn't pay more than 1500 for it.
Are those Prince engines same as the ones fitted to a Mini?
yes they are in minis
This one early it not in the mini
DOOR MIRROR!
I bet you still call your vacuum cleaner a Hoover simon don't you đđ
â@@carukchannel I am old enough to remember when the mirrors were actually fixed to the wings instead of the doors - back in the days of log books and glove boxes. Great channel, BTW. đ
Hi will black c1 be at the new site for sail regards
Yes bud, hoping to get one or two more c1 or 107 in before then also
Thought it was Peter Kay lol

đ€Ł thanks for the offer darren but its staying with me for now
Where is part 2
to be honest it was never filmed, it was featured briefly when we opened in this video but was sold within 24 hours so just slip my mind to film it. It sold for ÂŁ1695. vehicle owed us circa ÂŁ750 completed, czcams.com/video/M0pI8wVXeGk/video.html
@carukchannel thanks. I love this channel and what you do. Ive only just recently come accross this . Keep up the good work
You mention air conditioning, what is the law if a dealer sells a car and the air conditioning didnât worked be it regas or something more ?
Could have a leak or a faulty compressor
air con not working does not mean the vehicle is not fit for purpose however if you advertise ''air con' on the listing then its reasonable to assume it should work unless otherwise states or has been made clear on a purchase invoice if that was not so
Another no nonsense video. All the information you need and nothing you don't.
Jesus you can talk for England man
Not just England but the rest of the UK also Tree man
I had a 308 with the 1.4 prince engine
worse car i ever had... 1 litre of oil every 5/600 miles
then the chain snapped fff awful crap
does not surprise me with the later engine
1700 quid, this will be gone in seconds
Hope so NB
I bought a cheap one like this recently. Worst car I have ever owned. Terrible drive, no power, horrible suspension and breaks.. just a bad car all around. I prefer Japanese or German cars myself.
