    Thank you
    Hi
This car came to me with the engine, power steering and ABS lights on.
The speedometer was also not working...
Quite quickly I assumed that was the ABS system that was causing all this faults...
The real cause, although related to the ABS system, ended up by being something quite different...
I hope you enjoy the video...

Your work is exceptionally good. Not only can you diagnose the fault, but you are then able to fit bits of wire to fix it. Superb. A main dealer would be replacing everything at enormous cost.

Sir you are my saviour, had exactly the fault lights and messages on my Peugeot 207 1.6 HDI as in your video. Sure enough water in the central socket and pin 19 had rotted through. Followed your advise on the fix and hey presto only antipollution and engine lights on, Gave the car a high rev run down the motorway to clean any soot and all lights are off and all is well. I cannot thank you enough for a brilliant fix to this common problem you are the guy to go to a professional diagnostic of the fault. Thank you again my friend. Next job to change the screen wash pump.

Hi, thanks for all your videos, they have been a great help to me sorting out my 2016 Peugeot Partner MK2 van issues. Last week i was towed home after not being able to crank the engine and having engine light on, flashing battery light on and econonmy mode enacted. Tow man was very helpful, but said it's your BSM not communicating with the BSI. When home, watched a few of your related videos, then got down to investigating. Tried reseting BSM and checked all fuses, no change. Removed the BSM and saw the problem water ingress/corrosion in grey 28 pin multi plug. When removing plug 3 pins came away, but having already ordered a replacement BSM without plugs, i still had a problem. so having trained in electronics many years ago, decided to take the plug apart and saw i needed to re wire some pins. Went to RS components online, ordered a Molex CMC automotive plug, (774-8144) and set of female pin connectors, (723-9371), total cost £20.44. Unfortunately this was the black coded plug, mine was the grey coded plug, but i had noticed the "coding" is jus plastic grooves in the plug & socket, so i got my hot knife out and cut away some of the plastic on the plug to make it fit. Van started up a treat, hope this helps anyone looking to solve this problem. Thanks again, you were a great help. p.s. i have got a diagbox/unit ready to use on my laptop, will it have wiring diagrams on as well as the diagnostics, got to set XP 32 bit mode to use it first.

Great Video - Helped me diagnose my problem - I had three pins missing - I actually did a fix with a paperclip - opened up a paperclip cut to length and placed it in the top part of the connector - when the connector is locked in place the paperclip(s) make contact with where the pins had broken/corroded away - didn't even have to remove the BSI unit from the car - If this fix fails I'll do the fuse and wire fix as described in the video

Thanks for your video. This happened to me but the first sign of corrosion to the plug pins was both front indicators and door mirror repeaters stopped working (rear indicators fine) On removing the middle plug the 19 pin broke and stayed in the plug. The rest was corroded so I purchased used unit (matching number) I thought about using your "plug by-pass" method but it wasn't my car. Thanks to your video it was easy to change the fuse board but getting the broken pin out of the tiny plug socket was impossible. I took the plug almost apart but no way could I get the rusty pin out. So I decided to try and push it further in as far as it would go (using a steel tailor's pin) and it worked! The broken pin went in far enough to allow the replacement pin to fit and make contact. On completion I had a "Anti-pollution system" error message and engine check light still on but this cleared itself after a short drive. Brilliant! Thanks again.

nice repair, only thing is you need to stop the water getting into the fuse box or the fault will return in a few weeks, ive seen this fault a few times and the water tracks up through the wiring harness to the fuse box from the washer pump motor , so to prevent it happening again replace the washer pump as well.

Bought a 2012 Peugeot, 98 000 km, one owner, no major problems when purchased except the water injector for windscreen not working. We filled it up as empty, still didn't work so looked at the fuse. Found the fuse was broken so replaced it. Next thing, all the same faults as in the above video occurred - ABS, power steering, speedometer, temp and fuel gauge, front electronic windows, engine fan and brake switch all faulted. Corrosion in the fuse box the cause, leak from the washer water over time along the fuse wire back to the fuse box is the suspect cause of the corrosion. Had to replace the fuse box and repair harness, brake switch, cost nearly $1800. Will never buy a Peugeot again after this

  • @tonycalow708

I know this is an old video.
I discovered online that the socket gets like this due to water getting there from the screen wash due to capillary action along the wiring!
My C3 Picasso had exactly the same thing go wrong and I had to replace the whole fusebox with one off eBay. When you replace the middle plug, use some kind of sealant to help prevent it from happening again.

I think you should find exactly where the water is coming in from! My experience as a Peugeot technician for over 20 years has found that the windscreen washer pump or the coolant temperature sensor on the side of the engine are generally at fault, if you pull these plugs off you’ll find that there is corrosion or the pins will be white the cure for this is to replace the pump or the sensor which ever one is causing the fault , Or you will be doing is delaying the water going in there, I’ve seen this fault 100 times

Depolution system error is on screen and on my way to work the engine cut out on a busy carriageway and wouldn't restart for around 5 minutes. when it did went to limp mode. Happened again 10 mins later and also on my way home from work. I haven't driven the car since, too scared. I have downloaded codes and 6 out of 8 point to fuel pressure problems. After watching your video on P0087 i think i may have injector issue.

Change fuse box in engine bay all fuse boxes on 207/308 are faulty around the world , use diagbox or launch to clear faults- mostly all say misfire cylinder 2/3 and abs power steering faulty, also check cable from computer box going to back if engine going to the alternator

I got peugeot 307 2006 which I had problem with head light in it . The problem was I clicked the head light, after a wile I would to switch it off and I couldn't even when I switched off the ignition switch. So the head light remain on all the time. I had a chat with a guy regarding this issue who has experience in Peugeot 307, he told that the problem is with the fuse box. I wonder if you can advise me in this issue? as I am not convinced of what the guy has said.

It can be a relay sticking... I can't recall from the top of my head, if is an external or internal relay... have a look on the BSI...
It can also be the transistor inside the module, that is short or something like that...
You need to follow the circuit and try to understand where is the failure...
      Hope that helps.
      Thank you for watching!

      Hi
      Might not be... sorry...
It looks that the relay is internal on that engine fuse box...
You might be able to bypass it with an external relay... but better to get it replaced...
However, make sure you diagnose correctly that as the culprit, last thing you want is to replace that, to find out that you have a problem elsewhere...
      Hope that helps...

Hi there, seem to be having the same problem with my 207 56 plate 1.4. It started off with a coolant level too low warning message last week when it wasn’t and later on the day the abs and faulty breaks message came up and the deposition system failure. I was worried and decided to call the mechanic the next morning, by then the messages had gone so I drove it to a mechanic and by the time I got to his they had come back again and this time the power steering went as well. He looked at the car and couldn’t see any faults regarding to the messages shown so he knew it was the bsi messing up, he opened it up and as the same as yours the middle brow panel was the one he believed messing up, there was some dirt in it, he cleaned up hoping it would solve this issue but nothing, he left it saying he didn’t know what to do apart from getting a whole new bsi unit. I’m new driver and this is my first car I’ve had for a month so I’ve got no clue what to do please could you help me or point me in the right direction, I’ve seen your tutorial on how you fixed yours but I don’t have the tools etc to replicate unfortunately. Thanks

      Hi
      Nevertheless, check connections...
Check the wiring from the module to the abs unit...
If everything reveals no issues, you might have a faulty ABS unit.

Scan the car... and see which faults are logged... throw part at it without proper diagnose, is a waste of time and money...
If the faults are the DPF, you need to scan, look at the live data and try to understand why the car is reporting the fault...
