Character Creator, iClone and Blender is the perfect combo!!! This is definitely the perfect tools for 3D artists. When you add Unreal Engine to the equation, then you have a power house!!! Reallusion is really taken things to a whole new level. Well done!!!!

This is epic, I spent hours trying to figure this out on my own. There was no way in Blender to sculpt the model but retain the shape keys for the facial animation. I just tried out sculpting using these addons and got an absolutely perfect result! Thanks Russell and Reallusion.

Russell, how do you get the shape keys for mouth shapes for a character you made in blender to carry over into Character Creator 4?

  • @toddwaddingtonproductions4227

amazing. Hoping to use this workflow with the Blender face builder plugin. I think it's a better (more precise) workflow than headshot which works great in certain instances. I know i could do it with morphs as well. Actually, it occurs to me that I would use both.

How do we add to the process if we want to texture using Quixel Mixer or Marmoset Toolbag 4? ie. we make the character in CC3 (or CC4)... bring it into Blender... now we want to texture the model in Quixel Mixer and/or Marmoset Toolbag 4... and then bring it back into CC3 or CC4 with the rigging and everything else still intact?

I've found a tutorial checkout "Rampa Tinling" channel "Import CC4 character back into CC4"
1- you need to load "CC3 base mesh" in Character Creator 4 and modify it a little bit then export it as FBX for blender. 2- import the character through the addon
3-you should see " Export to CC3/4 " in the addon is clickable to export your model
4- in Character Creator 4 click on create character choose the first option Avatar CC

CC3 add-on not working for me in blender 3.0. When I attempt to import an FBX model from CC3 in the add-on, I get a long Python error message. Only way to get around this was purchase the Better FBX add-on and I was finally able to import CC3 FBX, but it had lots of issues that I am trying to fix. Any ideas how to work around this so I can benefit from CC3 add-on?

Any idea why in CC4 the character gets exported only and T-pose. So I make accessories in blender and send them into CC4 , but for some reason every time I put the character in T-pose so the accessories like bracelets sit exactly on the wrists, the minute I click the bracelets the character jumps back into A-pose!? This doesn't let me attach them to the hands.

4:05 check Embed textures, the FBX will include the textures; otherwise, it will generate a separate folder containing the textures.
