Bob is one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met. He used to be a lawyer, and turned his life into one designed to spread love. He has written New York Times best selling books, and is a phenomenal speaker. He’s helped build schools and shelters around the world. He’s saved lives by educating witch doctors in other countries, and has even become the Uganda consulate to the US.This was easily one of the most interesting interviews I’ve ever done.Bob’s mission is one I truly believe in. And believe it or not despite everything he’s done he still gets haters on social media.
We discuss how he deals with those haters, how you can love deeper, and how you can overcome your insecurities.

I clicked thinking let me watch 5 minutes, but it was utterly compelling from start to finish
- 12 conversations a day to connect - what a transformative concept. I can be standoffish, but will definitely add this to my daily practice. It’s evident that Bob does this, as he has so many stories with great meanings
- People don’t grow where they are informed. They grow where they are accepted. What a concept. Accept people as they are and bring them closer back/to their North Star x
- Jesus could have called peter a wuss for denying him 3 times , but actually called him a rock. Focus on the love that resides in each and everyone.
-Hold a mirror to his children and speak life ! 👀😍
Bob’s humour also showed a deep, loving & learned side.

Lewis Howes to have faith in this shift in my core values as I enter my 30’s. Less focus on the road, touring, and more focus on making long-term passive income from my songwriting. He made me feel better about my decision to get sober, get into the best shape of my life and not care about the “persona” of an artist living destructively in order to be taken seriously. Currently on day 93 of 365 in my songwriting challenge as well, it feels so good to be inspiring others to face their creativity with courage, EVERY single day. I love "Don't despise small beginnings." Like Bob, kids are my jam. I teach Pre-k.
I heard that he gave to schools in Africa. That is awesome. I dare folks to give to schools in America. That is so needed as well. My wife works at Rainier Beach High School and works her butt off to get grants approved to improve the drama program there. The school is extremely old and needs major repairs. The school district gives more money to some other schools that are in "better" neighborhoods. It is very sad. What if the poorest community could have a beautiful school?
I liked how he chooses projects that fit a 9 month timeline. That is long enough to create new habits and routines, but it is short enough to know you are gonna do something new relatively soon.
What an inspiring man is Bob Goff! We could all (especially me and my future self) learn much from this wise man! Thank you for sharing this interview.

Amazing episode!! Honestly you’re comment at the end about future Bob being an excellent grandfather brought tears to my eyes. I have my first child on the way... a baby girl. Her name is going to be Charlotte Moon. Lewis when you said that to Bob, I suddenly found myself picturing the future me becoming a grandfather to my child’s children. That thought gave me a beautiful feeling and made me think great thoughts! Thoughts that brought tears of joy to my eyes. Thanks again for a great start to my day Lewis! 👍🏻🙏🏻🕉

Nearing the end of your conversation and thoughts 💭 of an experience many years back when I had been praying greatly for…. Patience. One day I had to go to a local mega hardware store to purchase a small kitchen ladder, and a staff member whom I’d. never met said, “Excuse me, are you praying for Patience!” Goodness… I responded, “Always!” 😂 She responded, “The Lord wants you to know to stop 🛑 praying for Patience, as you no longer want to acquire experiences for practice with.” I’ve never prayed for Patience again! ☝️😂💝

Lewis Howes I really enjoyed many of his stories but I think the one about the witch doctors was extra fascinating. I am in school studying counseling, and stories about influencing/helping people,in a positive direction, especially those who can be most challenging is something I’m very interested in learning right now. I also loved living in the edge of “yikes.” This podcast along with your interview with JP Sears really helped me with my anxiety with uncertainty and fear. It has really changed my perspective on living with this fear I have. :)

Amazing. I'm killing it today with this. I had never seen Bob before, but I'm impressed by his character. A little criticism: It might be my speakers or sound settings, but since Bob's voice has a huge range, I found myself turning up the volume to hear him, and every minute or so he would laugh and blow up my speakers lol. Might I recommend slapping a limiter/compressor on some of these interviews.
Anyway, this episode was particularly great. My big takeaway- Know your true north, and make sure the words you're about to speak are honest.
