- Finally decided to run my Nurburgring Edition Lexus LFA on the drag strip

It may not be the fastest but that sound is heavenly
124 trap on the street ain't no slouch. It's still moving in a hurry.
Who cares about the speed, you can’t drive it anyway, but the sound is always there

Is it $500,000 fast? Definitely not, but I don't think anything can come close to the driving pleasure of this car.

@@ejl913 well i guess if you consider at the time that the 599 GTO was about that price specced up and they have similar acceleration, while thd LFA had less power I'd say it was fast enough, especially round corners

I think that even given the price difference that the gt350 is right on par with this car I would take either even though I could probably buy 3 or 4 gt350's for the price of one lfa I'd be a proud papa either way

Better launch from 3000 rpm (right now launching from 2000 rpm in this video) or so and hence better 60 foot since 1.9 can be improved for a 125 mph or 201 km/h trap speed. Better 60 foot means, it can possibly dip to 11.2 - 11.3 seconds.
He was on street tires with no launch control 11.5 is still impressive...can only imagine what it can do set up properly high 10s maybe
Sorry nope. 11.3 is out of the LFAs reach. 11.5 is right around the quickest these go. Plus dont forget this is a supped up variant. Its a little lighter with about 15hp more. The base LFA ran high 11s (11.8s-12.2s) into the 12s. This would also run 11.7 on the street. Just like how a GTR from 2011 can run a 10.8 stock on the strip but then it doesnt go faster than 11.3 on the street. Prepped surface advantage.
@@1x5.22 high 10s is out of the LFAs reach by far. High 10s is what the GTR and 911 Turbo S of the time ran. The AWD monsters. The base LFA is mainly an 11.8-12.2 second car. The nurburgring models are 11.6 second cars. low 11s to high 10s is out of reach for the LFA.
@@boikanyoonneng9170 Buddy I've seen LFA's run 11.5s..standard ones...it all comes down how you set up the car warm tyres, fastest shift speed setting, dry temp etc etc...half of these "auto channel" tests give it one go without setting it up properly...
@@boikanyoonneng9170 Not true. Insideline did 11.6 seconds at 124 mph on a standard LFA. C&D did 11.7 @ 125 mph (vs 599 GTB) etc. The difference is 10 HP. 563 HP (571 PS) vs 553 HP (560 PS), but more downforce on the NE makes it the same acceleration wise. The trap speed of 125 - 126 mph is much higher than what a mid-11s car gets. He was not using any launch method, just stomping from idle and he is on street tires and that is why I said there is room for improvement. However, prep'ed surface is a normal drag strip advantage.
