I had some inflatable pillows and both died at the valves. So now I use my soft clothe bag that my helmet came in, which also doubles up as my rucksack (sort of) when I go hiking on bike trip. I basically stuff all my clothe in it and that my pillow. The added advantage apart from not carrying anything extra and being free is that I can stuff as much or as little in it as i want and adjust the pillow height. Works for me and its free.

Good idea, if I didn’t test and review gear I’d probably do the same.. going to do some backpacking camping next year so will try something similar for that 😀 👍🏻

Ive got the same decathlon pillow as you, had it for years, and it's been ok, but like all the other pillows it still feels nothing like a proper pillow. So what I've started doing is taking a pillow case and I put the decathlon pillow in it, only use half the pillow case, and put my warm synthetic jacket on top of the pillow, fold the flap of the case over and then I have a nice and soft but chunky pillow. As a side sleeper i like the extra height, it feels fairly normal as my head is on a pillow case, it's easy to clean when I get home and my jacket is warm in the morning when I get up and put it on! As ever tho I'll keep looking for the perfect pillow! Thanks for this review, appreciate it

Excellent quality from Xped, I’ve got a winter down sleep mat that I’ve had for well over 10 years and it’s absolutely spot on with no issues! The Mega Pillow is holding up well since initial review, don’t think you’ll be disappointed 👍🏻

You always seem to read my mind.
When I'm looking at a particular tent, you have a tent review that matches my shortlist.
Now here I am looking to buy a better pillow than chucking my clothes in a dry bag and hey presto, pillow review day.
    Cheers buddy.

It’s very good if a tad expensive, got a real quality feel 👍🏻

Cheers for that. Have you ever used a nice quality/fluffy pillow case and put a down jacket/gillet inside it, at bed time when you don't need to wear it? That's my favourite pillow so far.
