- In this video I take a first look at the new Trekology Aluft Pro Large Inflatable Pillow.
I will follow up with a further video once I’ve used it over a period of time.
The thoughts and actions outlined in the video are personal to me and everyone will need to view things from their own perspective.

Great review Andy, I have one of the earlier Trekology pillows for motorbike camping holidays, which I've always found a bit 'bouncy'. Anyway, at home we have foam filled ones made of memory foam that have the same cross section and they are brilliant, so I'll be buying one of these. Incidentally, the correct way is to sleep is with the highest part on your neck and your head resting over towards the lower side. It sounds counterintuitive but works. Apologise if i've sent anyone to zzzzzzzzzzzz
Interesting, I should start reading instructions 😂 I’ve previously used a pillow cut in half and re stitched but in my ever strive to reduce bulk can manage okay with inflatable ones and have a few now! Actually, I’ve just bought another, the Exped Mega Pillow…. can’t help myself 😬
I have bought one of these. Unfortunate about the quality control but comfort for me is priority so I’ll stitch If necessary
@@cahillp3 yes, can’t fault that and got to say it was very comfy! Sometimes as I review various bits of gear I like to see how a company deals with issues but in this case I do wish I’d kept it as it was that good!
@@thecampingbiker791 yes I will in the first instance seek to have treckology respond if any issues do arise. Hopefully it is resolved with an update. I might let you know when it arrives today. Maybe they have improved their stitching

Read you reviewing the Helinox chair 'one to hide from the wife' totally agree.
Look forwards to that - hopefully compared to cheaper copies 👌
I’ve still got my Helinox original chair from over 10 years ago and still going strong… the new one is a lower level one that is lighter and smaller pack size which should be good for using inside smaller tents in bad weather/winter… goes without saying I think they’re worth it 😆

whats it sound like when you sleep on it? my last pillow sounded like a massive bag of crisps everytime i moved
It’s surprisingly okay…I had same concerns about baffling and noise but this wasn’t the case
I’ve just bought another new big inflatable pillow to test.. the Exped Mega Pillow which is lighter and smaller pack size, but bigger when inflated!
I’ll be reviewing next time out camping, so watch this space 😂
Would be interesting to know your view on it after some more usage and if it is still your favourite inflatible pillow? Got an old Exped pillow that a seam have started leaking on and needs to be replaced.
It is a very comfy pillow, but had to send it back as had an issue with the stitching on the cover opening up (happened with another one of theirs I had, so a little bit of quality control issues) I’ve subsequently bought an Exped Mega Pillow and have to say it’s brilliant (so far) and equally as comfy, actually think it’s a bit better than the Trekology one! I’ll be publishing the video in next couple of weeks 👍🏻

@@leifandersson8754 yes, just check all the stitching after a couple of uses…. excellent pillow and fingers crossed but if not they can just keep replacing it for you 😃 If I didn’t buy gear to test and review this is just the job and great value… the Xped rrp is £45 😬

Had two,both failed
Sadly mine failed with cover splitting at the seems…excellent design let down by quality control.. same with two of their sleeping mats that failed! I’m using an Exped pillow now, that seems much better quality but much more expensive as well
Sounds noisy like paper rattling
Wasn’t the at bad sleeping on but ultimately went back as stitching failed 😞

I know the feeling, just bought another pillow to test, the Exped Mega Pillow, and a new Helinox ground chair…. but most certainly don’t tell my wife 😂
