A comfort review of the Exped synmat 9 UL winter LW & Mega pillow. The specs quoted were memory recalled and should be checked on their website for the exact measurements
I have my new mat which is R rated at 7.8 and called the Exped Dura 8r 1,2kg. It is quite a weight but I'm old school and weight is not a thing for me. Oh boy so warm, you just feel the heat bouncing back to you and much tougher than any Thermarest. I have purchased a Sea To Summit Aeros Premium Pillow Deluxe. Yes I know, being an old man with many a neck pain, just love my comfort! Most important for me on a Scottish or Lakeland hill or mountain in winter wild camping is a seriously good comfortable nights rest. Proper sleep makes you more alert during the day, and less likely to make a bad decision costing you an injury requiring rescue or worse death!
That pillow looks great, thank you for sharing it with us! I'm going to search for it now :) Do you know if the schnozzel bag will inflate that pillow?
@@weekendadventures7004 I understand, it was more of the mold growing inside I was concerned for. No worries brother maybe an over reaction on my part. Its just when I look at my neoair pad in the sunlight I still freak ha ha
Just ordered this one. Hope it was a good choice! Im just a little bit concerned about the thin fabric. Have you used this alot now, and what you think about the fabric on this one?
I've not had any problems with it. Never had a puncture but I'm quite careful with it. It's quite soft to the cold and quiet when moving around. The grip skin coating doesn't last long though and gradually wears off

I completely agree with the importance of comfort
Supposedly the fill bag works for the pillow too, BTW.

I've never tried it with the schnozzel bag as it only takes 3 or 4 breaths to inflate the pillow
