  • On the night of July 22, 2013, 16 terrorists armed with guns stormed the Nanga Parbat base camp and left behind a trail of blood. Causing outrage across many different countries as well as a manhunt for those responsible that went on for 2 months. I must warn you the story I have today is brutal, and touches on more sensitive topics like murder and war. But I still think it's important to cover. It's a tale like no other… This is the 2013 Nanga Parbat Massacre…

Heard of so many mountain tragedies. But never of this terrorist attack. Absolutely horrifying!

This is the first time I've ever heard of this incident. Horrible

Of all the crazy mountaineering stories I've watched this is the most terrifying, by far. All the others are a direct result of the choices made by those who choose to climb, but this, this is unimaginably terrifying and heartbreaking.

Not what anyone would expect when going to climb a mountain.

When your number's up, it can happen in a million different ways.
Most times, you don't even see it coming.

@mehrimazedeh shame on you people. You are with the terrorist if you blame a country, we ourselves are against these attackers. These are the same attackers that did the 26/11 incident in India, so should I say India is a terrorist country? no right, we should condemn the terrorists not the country and its native people.

Stock footage is universally rubbish. And this is the worst utilization of stock footage I have ever seen.

As a GWOT veteran I’m so disgusted that so many people focus on one terrible week, the pullout of Afghanistan when we were there 20 years and contrary to the false narrative we did a lot of good.

Don't let it get to you, Idiots will be Idiots. They will always be around. Sounds like you care about stuff, so you keep doing what you do and be proud, and ignore what sounds wrong or stupid

Policy decisions aside, a lot of Afghani people are better off because of US intervention. We had an Afghani refugee lady in our town last year, her stuffed Naan was the hit of the farmers market, but she was gone this year. She was able to move to be with her extended family in California, all resettled refugees, together again and living free. That means a hell of a lot. Now we're getting a small group of Afghan refugees here 😊 Even if this isn't the best place to settle permanently for most, it's nice to do the initial adjustment while near mountains and the scrub desert and open wild spaces. Montana is a lot like home to many. My momma always said a superpower can never win in Afghanistan (she was just a white rural housewife, but a very pro-Muslim-world one, it's def her #2 fave religion)

No way was it the Taliban. The Taliban members are muzlums and we all know that Islum is a religion of peace and love. Islum teaches that you are to love all people equally no matter their religion, gender, race or sexual orientation so there is no way those terrorists were muzlums.

Are you going to leave sparky comments like this when Christians blow up clinics? If so, carry on... if not, shuddup kid/old man...
