  • Awesome day on another North Idaho Trail! The on and off rain made it pretty slick, but the dirt was at it's premium!
    Sport mode was crazy fun and the range was a shocker for this type of riding.
    16.7 miles was the total trip.

    Surron should hook you up with a commission, you are no doubt helping them sell more bikes. I knew I wanted an Ultra but your videos have shown me this will be way more than just a play bike. I really didn't think it would have such capabilities for the northwest. My Kuberg freeride couldn't have done all that.
    I did Cripple Horse in Libby yesterday with my ten year old on his first away from home trail ride on his TTR, he did 20 miles, came home pretty tired but he loved it. He's now hooked on single track and watching your content over my shoulder. Thanks again for all your doing and doing it clean! I love that I can watch with my kids. For sure there will be an Ultra Bee in Libby next spring.

    Electrics will replace all smokers in a few years. That 200 lb Ultra looked pretty great on those switch backs. I will have to try one thougfh I am worried about throttle sensitivity.

    • @schreddersworld1050
      @schreddersworld1050  Před 7 měsíci

      It's awesome on the switchbacks, especially with the hand brakes and the fact that it is so nimble.
      No worries on the the throttle sensitivity.
      It is very mellow in eco and a bit more aggressive in dad mode. In sport mode you have 3 settings for sensitivity.
      I worked my way up from dad mode to sport mode on #2 setting.

    The perfect bike! I've got a light bee which I love but the Ultra Bee looks like it fixes all the things that make the former less than ideal.
    I'm just waiting for the road legal version to land and I'll get one. Great vids btw👍

    Just started getting my Ultra Bee on the trails with the 18/21 setup. I do need to get the power/ throttle sensitivity dialed in, I agree that with this setup it is more difficult to get the front tire up over obstacles with the increased weight of the 18/21 in Dynamic mode. In stock wheel/ tire setup you can just give the throttle a little blip to lighten that front end in Dynamic. Putting it into sport mode seems like the easy solution, however I found it to be far too touchy and similar to an on/off throttle switch. I went from throttle sensitivity 3 to a 2, but maybe should try setting 1. I'm running a 54T aluminum sprocket, roller chain, tubliss, and relatively small rear MX33 (90/100-18) as I'm being as careful I can with added unsprung weight.

    • @schreddersworld1050
      @schreddersworld1050  Před rokem

      I would definitely try number 1 sensitivity. I have found it not to be an issue as far as being too touchy. I do like sport mode way better than D. Loved your video, what kind of range are you getting?

    • @TheTyLife88
      @TheTyLife88 Před rokem

      @@schreddersworld1050 Range would be tough to say yet, I have been only riding around my local town getting battery down to 7% before this trail ride. This last ride was pretty short, I only used about 20% of the battery life. The trails we have in Hawaii are very technical, frequently muddy, rocky, roots, with some good hill climbs (the one from my video was all part of an easy section). I expect to get pretty good range due to the forced lower speeds. Appreciate the advice on mode 1 for sport, I'll try that and may be a happy medium.

    Hi, nice videos and good info on the Ultra Bee👌My bike is on the way to Thailand, will be fun to get it. A question: Did you find a solid Chain Guide that fits the Ultra Bee ? I ride a lot in rocks and the little piece of plastic it comes with wont stay long.

      I have not seen or heard of an upper chain guide replacement yet. As far as a lower sprocket guard/guide, I believe it is in the works and I will be getting one as soon as it is available as i also ride rocky terrain.

    • @TheTyLife88
      @TheTyLife88 Před rokem +1

      A standard dirt bike likely wouldn't make it that long even with a larger tank. I've gone on plenty of rides on my YZ 250 or 300 XC-W and pushed the fuel pretty close and we did nowhere near that in a day. From what I'm seeing, if you're doing wide-open trails and faster speeds often and expecting range, electric is likely not for you. If you're into the harder enduro stuff where you're lucky to average anything over 15 mph for the whole ride, these things will surprise you.
