I don’t know what we’d do if Taryl and his crew stopped making videos.. freakin classic... love the ole scags ... 👍👍👍
This thing is gonna be handy as hell. Looking forward to the rest of the build!!
I dont know how many times my wife has rolled her eyes when she heres your videos. My 1 1/2 year old son loves them. He loves trying to help me work on stuff and watching your videos
Damn you Taryl! Now I have to watch pt.2! I got to go to work and absolutely love your video bud! Keep up the great work guys!
"You watchin' that hillbilly again"!.....
Oh man that cracked me up. Women just don't get the fine entertainment of building something cool 😎 ":¬(
I'm a woman that does! My boyfriend is the one who came in from our mower shop and said, "You watchin' those hillbillies again?" LOL!
Great way to spend a Sunday watching Taryl and his boys !!!
Very inventive. Creative. Good lessons.
I have not come across one of these mowers. I am a big advocate of using what is on hand, Recycle Reuse Repair Repurpose.
Great build by the way. Stay safe, Joe Z
i'm actually doing something similar with an older john deere garden tractor, great vid Taryl cant wait to see where this sweet build ends up
Great video can't wait to see the finished product
Great video. Very impressive engineering on the fly. You make it look easy.
22:48 --Milwaukee cordless ratchet!!! In the last year I bought the 3/8 stubby impact and a 3/8 ratchet. 40 year heavy equipment mechanic... Best tools I ever spent money on and I have bought a lot over the years--old Cat man--Albany Ga.. Taryl--keep those great videos coming...David
Awesome build guys! That Kohler sounds sweet!
Pretty cool build Taryl, looking forward to part 2!
Uncle Andy had me cracking up!!!!....Love the "new" toy, love the Lucille Ball impression going in circles!!!!!!
Thanks for the vid and inspiring. Did a push-tow for my cars years ago to push it in to the garage. Put a car-tire on it worked fine, specially on the winter-time and some uphill. Waiting for part II. :) My friend had a similar mashine except for a steering wheel. His was from the 70´s i think...but his could not bend like your.
Love it!!!! fixn stuff and stuff
Your the master of mower repair and build great idea.
Thanks for the video Taryl. Looking forward to the next one.
Great Way To Start The Day.
Can't wait for part 2!
All through the video I was thinking to myself "I'll bet he will be doing donuts out on the gravel lot just like Fast Food" and sure enough. Looks like your push/pull vehicle is working great. I can hardly wait to see the finished product. Nice to see Uncle Andy again.
Taryl has the coolest lingo. Old school. You're the best
Gotta love how nice those opposed twin Engines run!
Entertaining video..thank you
Looks like a good start Taryl. Good job buddy.
I have been planning on putting a hitch tube on the front of an old snowblower to move my trailer and use my snow plow that I have set up with a hitch tube on the tractor so I can pull the pin and put the plow or trailer ball. I came in to grab a bowl gasket and a primer bulb and here I am watching Taryl instead of working... Worth it ;-)
i LIKE IT! I like it a lot.
Kool Taryl, that Gantry crane, built in America with American colors. Thumbs up!
Love the Audio Sweetening Team of Mowing
U got mad skillz!!! 🍺🍺
Great job..love your videos
Very cool!
I have to build one! tired of pushing tractors here at work! Especially Scrub Cadets!
Put a made in America sticker on it when it's finished !!
That tow vehicle was a great idea Taryl, should come in very handy 👍
Nice fun build 👍👏
Pretty cool Taryl!
Great video ,keep making lawn machines great. Johnny
Nice hacks to re-purpose this nice machine. Eagerly awaiting for part 2 (and 3?) of this project.
Sweet ! Never seen one of those Scag’s , gotta find one and build for our shop! When you talk about cleaning battery terminals, I remembered that I Had a guy bring a new top post battery back for warranty.....he still had factory plastic caps on posts !!! Whoa brother ! Put terminals on over plastic caps !
Now that thing is go help you out bunches, nice going Taryl
That's pretty good man, nice work!!
Doesn’t take much to excite o’’lTarly some days but he knows how to enjoy life have a great day Tarly!
That thing is cool, great idea Taryl!
Seeing this old Scag 3 wheel mower brings back memories of using one (with a deck) at my job back in the early 90’s. They were fun to operate. Way to repurpose it!
Nice work Taryl.
Just made a purchase at the online store. Keep up the good content Sir!
Fantastic work Taryl , As alwaysWhat a great idea
👍👌 WOW, ,,, Some MIGHTY (COMMON SENSE) engineering there THANKS TARYL for a well entertaining job WELL DONE [so far] 😍😍😍😍😍
Yep I had to replace the fuel tank on my dads tall hood lt1000 and it had the same grommet and even the one from 95 didn't leak it actually lasted longer than the tank seam lol
That’s going to come in handy... nice work. 👍
Smart idea, great video,
Awesome videos thank you I learned so much from you
looking forward to part 2
That’s sweet!
pretty cool wondering if I could use that Contraption to power my wheelbarrow
Well DAMN, That's going to be handy Slick Sorta Kinda . Boat, Trailer, Maybe even light trucks. I like it.
Sick
At first I could not watch you guys to wacky, but then I was rebuilding a Gx200 and you were doing a Gx160 so I watched and now I can't get enough! Keep'em coming. Fan in Florida.
@ 6:58 The classic "Ran when parked".... Hahaha!
COOL!
Love em taryl
Love your videos. You helped me acquire a Honda Goldwing. I'll tell you the story if I ever meet you. Instead of RV antifreeze, I use the subzero type wiper fluid in the rear lug tires of my Cub Cadet 2186. The wiper fluid is non corrosive. I use it for a rear mount tiller in the summer and snowplow or blower in winter. No chains and no weights to mess with.
That gel lube is awesome
The man is a genious!
Great idea for a tow tractor it will be very useful and save time to get mowers in an out of the shop that not in running order.
"You watchin' those hillbillies again?"....my boyfriend a little while ago! Well, what else is a gal gonna do on a slow holiday at the mower shop?!? :)
Thank you!!!
Brilliant video thank you 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hell Yeah, I'm watching that Hill Billy. Keep it up, love the content.
Mr T. used the "It Ran;When" line. Love it.
I appreciate you making these videos my 11 year old son is working on a 1990s marrays lawnmower he calls it swamp donkey.
first excellent job this is epic thanks buddy
That's a great machine and a fun build! Good to know uncle Andy didn't spill his beer😆
Woooo woooo woo woo woo, Taryl you should make TV dinners
Nice setup
Taryl, that worked out pretty nice. Good idea!
You smart Dude!
That hydraulic cylinder sure is a familiar sound, I still got one of them amt's that I use almost every day
Sounds like you got a bunch of starlings nesting. I get them above the sliding doors on my barn. Cute, but thank god they only next for a couple weeks.
Works realy good for bumping
Let’s go!
I'd make the engine cover out of Plexiglas, so you can see through it when hooking up.
I've welded quite a few plastic tanks with a soldering iron...I preheat the cracked area with a heat gun, then slightly trench the crack at 60watts pointed tip iron, then go over it @ 100watts with a flat tip, working in a circular motion, then do a final pass, using a nylon zip-tie with the iron still set @ 100watts with a pointed tip again,in the same fashion as TIG or Brazing,So there's no need for epoxy...takes a little time and a ton of patience, but its a hell of a lot better, than replacing a $200+ tank.....I like the wire nut hack too...gonna have to try that out
can't wait for the comedy sketch .Love you Taryl for who you are.
Oh 1 more thing I keep forgetting to ask you .
Do you ever get any diesel engines in your shop to work on ? Never seen a show but then again I just stumbled on to your channel by mear coincidence about 2 weeks ago .
I'm building a similar apparatus for a friend. Mounting it on his John Deere garden tractor for moving trailers around his yard and junk. But I'm using an electric actuator. No hydraulic leaks and plenty of power to lift anything he has. Makes me kinda miss my 93 Super Duty that started life as an ambulance. Just dump the air back under my trailers flip the switch let the airbags fill back up. Flip up the screw jack drop the pin and roll. Love your videos bro funny and educational! GOD bless you and cover you with his eternal love 💘
Nice, No more back pain! To late for uncle Andy. Thx dactyl team!
I like the sound effect of the tires squealing. I had the tires on my old riding mower squealling and smoking yesterday even though the cops were called but it was fun while it lasted
Good job, that is a grate tool real time saver, now you need a name for it contest lol
Your right Taryl those bushing's work well , i recently fitted one on a fuel tank from a Koholer magnum 8 engine. trouble was i had to use one from a wacker plant as the alternative was to order from your side of the pond and pay over $30, the one i bought was £1.90 inluding postage.
Very good my friends
Like the Dr. DOOLITTLE animal, you should name it the Pushmepullyou. Awesome video as always.
@22:07 1000% Agree. I was helping a friend with his riding mower that wouldn't start. He had 2 people look at it and they said that he needed a new starter. I took Mr. Test Light and he found the problem; the solenoid wasn't getting juice when key was turned. I noticed that the positive battery terminal had a little corrosion. Sanded both battery terminals and the wire terminal (going to the solenoid) and the mower fired right up.
13 second mark heard that burp. Nice!
Another great episode and what will be a nice tomower. Just curious though how will you prevent damaging the free wheel lever on the rear, when pushing one?
Hey Taryl.. hooked on your videas and very informative. I have a question tho. I have an old troy built rear tiller. I believe its a 1972 or so type tiller. I have been trying to find the original decal that is on the tine shroud that tells you forward neutral and reverse.I have been to the troy built website and cannot find the decal that would go with it the decal would look like arrow that point up saying forward another saying reverse and one that says neutral....according to the two handles on the tiller . the engagement for the reverse wheel and of coarse foreward when the belt is engaged. any help that would lead me in the direction wold be helpful (I have already checked ebay and nothing on the type I am looking for) replaced the techmuche engine with a predictor and it runs great.
Never-Seize was one of the tricks I learned when working on cars with aluminum heads. Occasionally the spark plugs would seize in the cylinder heads and take the threads right out with the plugs… no bueno!
Moving mowers around I'm working on got much easier once I got 60" pallet forks for my compact tractor.
