- I'm a big fan of the genestealer cult model range for Warhammer 40,000, but I've always thought they looked a bit too organised, too much like a professional fighting force. So here's my take on the army, starting with Neophyte Hybrids in a more grimdark aesthetic.

About the skitarii comment there is at least a GSC called ”Bladed Cog” that infiltrated a cult mechanicus although they deviated from their original purpose they are now obssessed with combining the alien, the human and the machine into the ultimate being.

I love using necromunda kits in genestealer cults. I definitely reccommend the Squat Miners kit to try with. I made acolytes from them as they were a bit chunkier and they had a lot more space to have bulky weird xeno style to them.
Ah yeah that's a really good shout actually. There are almost too many great Necromunda kits... almost!

Juan Dosespadas definitely takes the cake namewise, but the cult leader re-work looks just so unbelievably cool, cocked head looking down the autopistol - great work!

Nice squad! I find the cawdor torsos somtimes hard to fit with other parts because of their sleeves, but you nailed it!
I've been working a lot on a GSC army over the last year. Just a boarding patrol, combat patrol, and a few characters so far, but I've been plannig to convert a lot of stuff from Necromunda kits, mostly Cawdor and Orlock stuff. I think the Orlock bike could make for a nice wolfquad, and the Cawdor walkers would probably make nice bikes. The new Palanite taurous could maybe make a nice ridgerunner too, depending on the scale. And maybe the Ash Waste bugs could also make for good 'vehicles' too. Those ideas aside, this video has given me a lot more to think about.
GSC are on the backburner for now though. Expanding my Tyranids army is up next

Jokes aside, I'd love to see you do Traitor Guard under the banners of the 4 chaos gods. All the traitor Guard we seem to get seem to be Chaos Undivided, but I'd like to see what Astra Militarum corrupted by Tzeench or Nurgle would look like.

You allready have one mechanicus guy, but how about a unit thats more admech themed in general? Bladed cog style squad with more bionics, maybe some Aberrants made up to look like genestealered servitors?

Thanks for a great vid. I rarely kitbash because I doubt my ability but those genestealers make me want to give it a go.
Personally, I like watching scratch builds so I think it would be interesting if you made something like an Achilles ridge runner or goliath truck out of plasticard just a thought.

Necromunda Ogryns and Bullgyns with Aberrant bits to make Abominant and Aberrants
Primaris Psyker is just a Magus with different details
The Ork Warbiker mob could be kitbashed into the Atalan Jackals semieffectively, you'd just need to put a GSC model big enough on there.
Unironically, the Votann vehicles would work really well as a version of the Goliath and Ridgerunner

If you dont mind using minis for conversion other than GW, Stargrave has great bits. Mercs especially for such an occasion. I was also thinking about some of the Dark Eldar Haemonculus being great bits for Genestealer cultists.

So first off super cool.
How well would an Esher head fit on that female magus body? And then maybe do either a staff swap or just the head of the staff for something that looks more like a low budget imperial force staff, also a head swap and some iconography changes to the imperial guard's primaris psyker, and there is probably some kits that would do a similar fit with either a sister of science or something in the adeptus sororatis line. The other two things I could see working if the sizes match up is doing a waist split and going for a pair of upper body lower body kitbashes with a third or fourth gen and a Goliath, and then doing the same thing with one of the less bulky models and a palatine enforcer, tempestus scion, or naval breacher. Also depending on how fiddly you want to get maybe try slicing two heads just below the hair line so that you can have a genestealer face but with hair or a half helmet covering up the top of the forehead ridges. As for some slightly less lore friendly conversions doing up some kind of heretech weilding some of the actual tyranid guns or doing a waist split with one of the larger genestealer pure strains and an Ogrin with Ogrin arms and heads with some greenstuff on the forehead.
I think an Escher head will work perfectly, at least I hope it will. Knock-off force staff is a great idea!
@@OffbeatBuilds Oh I've edited my post to add a bunch more ideas, mind you it's an any of them may work now an all of them will situation mostly depending on what you have handy and what you know actually fits.
@@TheMichaellathrop - Blimey, that's a wealth of interesting ideas. I think the Goliath / 3rd gen is kinda inspired, and very much feels like it should work without too much remedial work. The breachers / scions / enforcers are all goers as well I think, they've done a really good job of keeping the scale of the human models pretty consistent recently.
Your cult is an amazing kit bash. Are you planning to use them as a Wyrmblade Kill Team or the beginning of a full Cult?
I know my own cult lacks sheer numbers.
20+ Neophytes. 10 Acolytes. 30 Genestealers. 10 Aberrants. Obligatory Patriarch, magus, Primus, Abominant.
I also typically use a Baneblade as a Brood brothers co-opted unit.
Very melee heavy with all the aunts and uncle's.
Still missing some of the characters like the Biophagus, Sanctus, Kelermorph, Saboteur, etc.
Well you can't have a good genestealer cult without some genestealers, right? And I've heard that the Ymgarl Strain didn't get much love, lately...
For a Rockgrinder maybe a kitbashed Onager? like they mashed it with something else to get a barely functional, quite unreliable transport vehicle

GSC guys are bold. . . Slaanesh Damonettes have bald heads as do the whiches from AoS Daughtera of Khaine. . . Or the Sylvaneth tree spites. . . Also female.. . . Also bold
