First look: Walk In Closet Tour

- First look at my new walk in closet / office space! Organization is definitely still in progress, but I picked out the units / built them and got my dresses up and color coded. Sorry for the mismatched audio / hand motions with this video, had some SERIOUS trouble with the footage and wanted to make it still work for you guys. Also, this video is not sponsored at all. Just wanted to let you know how I picked out the units. I used the Ikea closet builder on the site to input my measurements, build it out etc so I knew exactly what I wanted when going into the store. It's SUPER helpful and I highly recommend it if you're looking to do something similar!

I love the PAX systems, they're so GORG but will definitely need to save and build overtime. I'm with you about using what you have.... maybe sell them on CL.... The container store actually has a really great return and exchange policy. You can bring the drawer units you have and exchange for something that looks more similar to your ikea unit!

Idea - The two closet doors, why don't you take them down and put a track door across them. That would save on the swing out space. Just a thought. I know it's a rental so you're limited on what you can take down, but if you can I think that would be a great solution, or even an nice shimmery curtain across them.

!! that's gonna be so hard to keep organized haha I have a random room off of my bedroom that I turned into a closet and i have my vanity and dresser in there too and a small rug and floor lengthed mirror but it's always so messy haha i could never have my office in there too.
P.S. This room is legitimately heaven... I would never get any work done though because I would just be looking at my clothes and styling outfits, haha

Put some colorful flowers or soese in the spring it will make it sooo beautiful
I say maybe having your desk be in front of your window with some really nice accent curtains and the the wall beside in (opposite from the closet side) make an accent decor wall or maybe that'd be a little much now thinking about it?...however you do it I'm sure it will look super great :)

Now that is a dreamy closet! Just a random DIY idea but you mentioned the container store mesh draws not matching. Is that something that can be spray painted white? :) And I'm still loving the high back chair!

love the set up!! just a random question, why didn't you get the doors? idk maybe I'm just weird and anal about these types of things but i feel like it would keep things cleaner and if it ever got disorganized you could just hide it. did you want it to be more of a display piece?

I said when in my LA apartment tour video that I had planned out my work schedule for the first few months and so much of it was already in LA/ I only had a few weeks to organize my move if I was going to do it. I signed a full year lease! Thankfully though these units can be taken apart and brought to any apartment or house I end up in the future.
