My hips have been around since I was 12. I'm used to be curvy so I've always dressed with that in mind. Love how you put together your closet!
The bedroom closet is probably going to be something that you want to do first, as this is the closet that we use the most.

its 2am here right now and im cleaning my closet in a bit. why 2am? bc my head is pretty much tipsy from lack of sleep, so i'd be like, "oh this shirt, i aint gonna be using it, bye shirt." vs my usual "im gonna use this one day" hahaha

you have so many stuff ! i have 1/20 of what you have and i feel trowing everything away haha i'm really into the minimalist vibe and i feel like a clear space is a reflection of a clear mind. anyhow i must applaud the fact that you can stay organized with all this, i'm impressed !

I like the way you organized and I definitely got some great ideas - I just prefer to have my shoes on shelves and my pants hanging or I forget about them!

my organization is sooo similar i'm just limited by my dorm room, so some things are in my suitcase. plus i have to say you really inspire me, i'm learning a lot. :)
It totally has something to do with be 25-26.....this year my body was like "HELLO"....thighs, booty the whole nine lol I've been telling people all year that my body is completely different post 25. I'll be 27 this year and my body is nothing like t used to be. Some good some bad lol

Nice your closet loft is very huge and spacious. I really like how you organized everything. I don't have a loft but I do have a walk in closet. I was thinking if I had a loft huge enough like yours I probably would turn it into study/library area.

Love your HP reference at the end, it's so true though! Lol! I definitely feel you on the "how did my leg even fit in this before"! I'm turning 25 this year and have finally come to the realization that it's time to stop shopping in the junior's section. I just feel like "women's" clothing fits my body better now (hello hips! Lol) and the styles are just more classy and tasteful. Time to go through my closet & weed out the teensy weensy skin tight juniors clothes and make room for more mature pieces! You're not the only one who feels like they're going through a 2nd puberty, lol! ;) Here's to "becoming women" in 2015! Lol!
right?! No one prepares you for this! Hahaha just when I thought all of my clothes would fit me forever. It's the strangest thing. And now you know you're old when you see smaller clothing you used to fit in and your first reaction is 'THOSE ARE SHORTS?? THEY'RE SO SMALL THO'

I would have put my bedroom upstairs and closet down stairs with sliding doors to hide the closet area.
she said both of the bathrooms were downstairs so it made more sense for her for the bedroom to be easily accessible to the master bath.
Either way I still would have put it upstairs and just go down stairs to the bathroom it's not a huge space she wouldn't need to walk that far to the bathroom, but that's just me.
the closet was way too tall for the downstairs, even with me sawing off part of the top. The lower level is much shorter than the top level. And there's a buns of poles and beams in the lower level that would make it impossible. Logistically it just didn't work!
Oh I see ok, it looks nice but I would have liked the room upstairs but I get why you didn't do it that way.
Loved your video, I will purchase the pax system this month, can't wait till the building of it is over, looks hard. But definitely excited. I was thinking of folding my pants and putting them in a side shelf, interesting that your pants are in a drawer. My dream closet will be much like the one you had in your last home. So excited, thanks for the inspiration.

Loved the color coordination. I've lost that and I too need to do an closet over haul.
Can anyone break down EXACTLY what pieces she uses to make the closet? I feel like I want my laid out EXACTLY like this and would love to know which systems she uses...
Tara Creel She says she uses the Pax system from Ikea. I'm not sure exactly what pieces she uses, but you should search pax on the Ikea website and you can see all the different wardrobe pieces they have. Hope that helps.
you could bring a photo of this into Ikea, but I used 2 larger pax units and 2 medium sized units and just added shelving onto the medium sized units. I measured mine to fit my original space though. The pax system is customizable, so you can make it look exactly how you want it to! You can design it online too. It's very helpful.
Carly Cristman Thank you Carly! I l've looked at the closet creator quite a few times and was frustrated because I wasn't finding the pieces I wanted. Then dumby me realized it's because they are being shown with doors. Hahahaha. I'm not stupid, I promise :-P

My body gifted me with a set of hips and more this time last year. Was in denial but now more than half my bottoms don't fit so I have to go shopping. My teenage wish came true 9 years later.

Are you worried about the sunlight & dust factor with your items? I have a closet "room" and I didn't realize how badly the sun and dust would damage my clothes by leaving them out on an open rack. My white shirts got ruined within a year! Just a friendly warning if anyone is reading this! I now keep my clothes on an open rack, but inside a large clothing bag that you can buy at the Container Store, Ikea, etc.
