    Interesting note of trivia, that was mentioned in the show itself : the darksaber's hilt is crafted from refined beskar forged by Tarre Visla. It has been around for thousands of years, and the hilt itself can block a lightsaber. 60 year old man with a power suit crushes it with one hand.

      This is what they mean when they said they’re connecting it to the sequel trilogy: by the writers forgetting how time and space work. I mean, this season also had x-wing guy flying all the way to coruscant from the outer rim in a single seat fighter, go up to an office in some skyscraper to physically ask a random bureaucrat for reinforcements. That’s not how a galactic civilisation is supposed to work. Either you have an FTL system with limits (like star trek), or you have zero-cost instantaneous travel and comms, but new star wars has both depending on who’s writing it. Like a hyperdrive physically flies through real space where it can collide with ships (ie. Holdo maneuver) but some times it can instantly teleport and not interact with any other solid matter along the way. Some times they need fuel to jump a few lightyears, other times they don’t need any to be able to jump to the other side of the galaxy. All this can be forgiven for a three movie soft-sci-fi fantasy series, but not for a multi-media cinematic universe with consistent lore and canon

    • @sirrickardjameses
      @sirrickardjameses Před rokem +1

      You only gotta go about 50 miles to make it to space. Star wars doesn't take orbital mechanics into account so going straight up is sufficient to reach orbit with star wars physics. If it was real physics he could make it but the light cruiser would smash into him at 20,000 miles per hour.

      What? You see Mandos flying in SPACE with their jetpacks in the games and books. For way longer then just a messly few miles (it doesn't take very long in term of miles to get to the upper atmosphere). Btw, at 60 miles per hour, you would reach space in about an hour. Not really unrealistic seeing as they chased a bird for more then an hour.

    • @yorkletronik
      @yorkletronik Před rokem +2

      The fleet was not in space it was in atmosphere above the cloud cover. Wookiepedia says the jetpacks have about a 2km range, so that would be a thin atmosphere but maybe it is. R5 clearly rolled out onto the surface with the scouting team in episode 7.

    • @AllyMonsters
      @AllyMonsters Před rokem +4

      @@yorkletronik 2km? That ain't even 2 miles, that's 1.2 miles. Also the wookie says 1-5km, and the Z-6 (Boba and Jango Fetts designs) says 70 meters (very short, like 1/4 of a mile). That would mean even in the prequels and the clone wars, George got it wrong with Jango Fett and the other mandos too.

    Ugh, this season felt so underwhelming, I can't even describe it properly, but I'll try.
    One of my biggest bones of contention is that they showed the Mandalorians to be absolutely incompetent fighters throughout the whole season (half of the show in general), they got jumped on by flying dinosaurs (according to them numerous times), they settle in front of giant crocodiles, they get cornered by a bunch of pirates, but for whatever reason they took not a single casualty against a legion of storm troopers that have the same equipment as they have. To add to that, the armor was super inconsistent, from tanking dozens of blaster bolts to being one shotted, then using shields despite having Beskar armor (Din and the Troopers). And what was with the Praetorian Guards? They literally dismembered Paz Viszla, but couldn't do the same with Mando? Who took up less of a fight? The Darksaber being given to Bo-Katan (which btw is an extremist, war criminal and former terrorist but for whatever reason Rebels and Mando try to make her a good person???) just so it can be destroyed??? Also them firing up forges that have been dormant and partially destroyed for decades.
    This show is so full of plot holes lol.
    The first half of the first season was the only enjoyable piece of the Mandalorian, as soon as he kept the baby everything went south.
    I feel sorry for Giancarlo Esposito and his character (Which was pretty cool) that they had to be wasted in such a show.
    I really love Star Wars, I loved the Prequels, Clone Wars and the OT. But wow since Disney took over nothing went right with the franchise, Rogue One was okay, but that's it. Visions was cool, but isn't even considered Canon.
    I really miss some of the old EU stories and characters and I'm scared everytime they announce to adopt EU characters into Disney canon, Thrawn went from military genius to cartoon villain. At this point I'm at a stage where I just want them to leave Star Wars alone, they've done enough damage. But they won't, because it brings in the merchandise sales...
    I won't even ask why Mandalorians can suddenly fly into orbit with their jet pack. Or why the old republic cinematic trailers look much better than anything Disney has ever made.

    To be fair to the Armourer, she had the only weapon that could work; blunt force trauma. Remember that everyone has laserproof armour at this point, and it’s actually kind of funny that everyone is blasting each other even though there’s a 90% chance you’re not gonna damage anything. Hitting someone with a heavy hammer in this scenario would actually take out a laserproof commando faster than shooting lasers at him.

    I kind of want to know what Gideon's plan was when he said he'd "deal with the Mandalorian" before they flushed his clones. He sort of just... locks them in his control room briefly, and then just yells at them for flushing his clones? And then proceeds to punch Mando around, only pulling his funny purple stick out when Bo and the Dark Saber™ show up. Kind of interesting he doesn't have any kind of anti-beskar weaponry or has any kind of trap or actual plan to quickly dispose of/incapacitate the Mandalorians/Mando/Bo. Don't even get me started on his single type of soldier he has (why aren't there more soldier types in his very large base?, all of them just flying up to have a lame jet pack fight with the Mandalorians. We go from Mando by himself doing bounties, to acquiring Grogu and angering a small contingent of Imperials, to involving the New Republic, to involving ex-Jedi, to angering the entirety of the Imperial Remnant. Bit of a shot in the dark on that last one but since it'll definitely be known to the powers that be (Hux, Pellaeon, Thrawn, etc) that Mando and Bo-Katan were responsible for the death of Gideon, there's no chance they take it lying down. I think Star Wars has so many generations of fans that we all see it differently. I started by seeing the original as a young lad back in 1977, when Han shot first.
    I enjoyed all 4 seasons of Mando (wished we had a real Boba Fett show, but that's another discussion). He is a side character that took us on adventures throughout the galaxy. It was meant to be a TV show to go along with the movies. Only the movies died a horrible death. So then it became the headliner it was not meant to be.
    I think it hits a lot of the classic Star Wars themes that George had in the original series (including merchandising). But seriously I enjoyed it for what it was. A focused story on one person's journey that was not the center of the universe.

    Someone without being at least force sensitive can add the force to the clones he's creating. Kind of like The infinity stones being paperweights. The Sith are antiheroes, and we can deconstruct and humiliate any male hero who will bend the knee to the Uber Girl Boss, and The Dark Saber really doesn't matter. I thought the finale was better than the rest of the episodes of season 3 put together, but that's not saying much and Gary is right. Disney has ruined two franchises so thoroughly, there's no coming back. I think "Ahsoka" will be the last Star Wars movie or TV show I'll watch. Depending on how much Uber Girl Power and how many men bend the knee in that series will determine if I watch the entire series or not. Everything Disney does is ultra cringe anymore.
