Overview: In today’s episode I’m on a solo mission in Butler PA, I’ve traveled over 7 hours in call to exploring what’s left of the Clearview mall. While exploring I get a very lonely feeling inside this mall, This mall was like a Time Machine into a different Era… This mall is truly stuck in the 70s-80s with the unique and minty green color & the vintage store fronts. While I didn’t get to spend as much time in this mall as I’d like I’m very glad to have had a nice look at the exterior & interior of this mall. Towards the end things started to not go as planned…
History: Clearview Mall is a one-level shopping mall 44.6 miles (71.7 km) northeast of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, between North Main Street, Clearview Circle and Henricks Road in Butler, a suburb of Pittsburgh. The mall has two open anchors which are Boscov's and Rural King. Clearview Mall opened sometime in 1981, the space that would become Chuck E. Cheese used to be occupied by a couple small tenants. At some point, some occupants of the space were possibly Koenig Sporting Goods, Only $1.00, Rellins, & Disc Jokey[1]. All were closed by 2002-2003. After that, construction on the location started. Sadly during Covid-19 many of the malls tenants were forced out as the malls rent skyrocketed!
While this video didn’t exactly end as expected, I’m very happy to say that is as able to see this beautiful gem for a last time. I traveled over 7 hours to see this mall, it definitely didn’t disappoint. The vintage nostalgia JCPenney & 80s style inside made this all worth it.

I’m amazed I didn’t get busted last year when I did this mall. I got word from a local before I filmed Here that security was strict, and somehow, I must’ve gotten the lucky day with a younger guard who didn’t seem to care. Because she definitely noticed I was filming, but did not say anything to me. My friend Alex came here not that long ago and also got kicked out. He got kicked out by an older guy. Does suck when this happens in a nice mall like this.
Agreed. Tried my best not to make it obvious, but he still noticed. Was an older man. I tried explaining a way out of it but he asked me to leave. If your ever in the area the mall in Stroudsburg PA Poconos would be cool to see on this channel. It’s been slowly dying out for years but was great to visit as a kid.

Never understood why security is so disciplined now that the mall is dead. No where to be found when the mall was full. Also dont understand why everyone who films at the clearview mall is so scared of the mall cops! Are you kidding me!

lol, yes the mall is truly struggling, it’s a shame to see it in such conditions. Hopefully they can get back on their feet and fix this!
