  • (10-2-14) Back in the day this mall was the place to go back in the early 1970's (probably back in 1971 when this mall opened I think) until 1981 when the Clearview Mall opened. Pretty much Clearview Mall killed this mall. I remember going to this mall when I was a child; it had a Valley Dairy, a video game store, an Ames (untill they moved to the Clearview Mall), a Montgomery Ward, and the largest video game arcade in Butler, PA. Unfortunately this mall was an official "Dead Mall" leading to its demise in 2001 when it became Butler Commons. And by the looks of it; the Clearview Mall may be heading down the same path as the Butler Mall did. Today it's a strip mall called "Butler Commons" and has a "Power Center" part called "Butler Crossing". All of the Butler Mall was torn down except for one part. Watch the video to see what I mean.
Update 4/15/15: Holy crap over 100 views?!
