I get the impression he was meant to be even more present in the story, maybe appearing to hunt you alongside his Night Cavalry at points kinda like the Bell Bearing hunter.
The only issue I had was that at some point in the story, such as at the start of the game, night's cavalry could at least escort him in a caravan, and when we got to the boss fight, it would involve atleast one night's cavalry in a bigger arena.
That would make the relationship between them clear.
Yeah similar to majima everywhere in the yakuza games but instead of random places, it’s random npcs in the wrong places

I always felt morgott was done dirty in elden ring. As margit its great but as morgott the last of all kings i really wish they made his fight longer. Id wish his second phase would actually be after you "killed" him once. Hed then rise up yelling out his frustration and then doing his second phase with a new health bar. Maybe even in the last 25% we see grace envelope him which to me would make the godfrey cutscence where morgott becomes his guidance of grace more special. Maybe im too much of a fanboy but he feels like a half baked badass.
Thanks for sharing. Morgott deserved more screen time, or at least an additional/missable bossfight where night cavalries escort him back to Leyndell and we can ambush his caravan, then he appears as a short bossfight when the cavalries protect him so he can flee, sort of.
I wish all 2 phase bosses in Elden Ring would just have two health bars, instead of splitting the one in half.
Agree but if that was the case, then Godfrey would need two phases as well with full health bars seeing he is stronger than his son and is there to protect the throne/or recapture it. Would probably tire the player because radagon also has two phases and it comes right after Godfrey. With that extension mohg would also need two phases. And all three of them would be as pain in the ass for the player as Malenia is because they all hit harder than Malenia and have insane poise compared to her(if we ignore waterfowl dance).
Same, unfortunately by end of Leyndell most people can kill our boy Morgott easily- my BHF destroyed him 😭 he just needs more HP… I made sure to use Morgott’s sword for the rest of the game though, I had to honor him 😤

There's a lot to unpack about "Enchantress Ranni, Captain Rykard,felled by King Morgott,Elden Lord" like did he actually fight the two?
Actually, that's a great question! The titles are more symbolic than literal. Morgott likely didn't fight Ranni or Rykard directly, but he sees all demigods who seek the Elden Ring as his enemies.
If anyone wants to hear more of his voice, I’m 99.9% certain he voices a fairly major character in FFXIV. From the latest expansion.

It's his illusion in the video, where it spawns in the middle of Leyndell's empty field. He didn't take anyone away, just a commoner enemy that shifted into him.

I understand bigger enemies for a gameplay reason but most of those people are not fitting on them thrones lol
It's more likely a combination of factors:
1. Great Runes: The power of the Great Runes seems to affect their bearers' size, as seen with Godrick and Morgott growing larger after claiming their shards.
2. The Golden Lineage: Demigods, being descendants of giants, might inherit some of their ancestors' size.
3. Gameplay: As you mentioned, larger enemies are easier to see and track, making for more engaging combat encounters.
But let's be real, it also just looks cool. Giant sword-wielding demigods? Sign me up!

You're definitely not alone! Margit seems to uphold this ideal of family loyalty, even though the Golden Order is totally dysfunctional. It makes sense he'd be disappointed in Ranni for defying it and feel betrayed by Rykard's whole blasphemy thing.
@ikigaofficial yeah dude and idk but I think he acknowledged them in the order he most likely to be a good successor to all and I think he didn't consider godrick and the twins to even have a chance to be elden lord (his ideal ofc) and after he counts them then comes radahn rykard and ranni idk maybe he disappointed that ranni killed godwyn
@MertDSavas That makes sense! Margit could be ranking his siblings based on who he thinks would make the best Elden Lord. He probably sees Godrick and the twins as weak, Radahn and Rykard as too flawed, and Ranni as the most capable but ultimately a traitor. Could be extra bitter about her role in Godwyn's death too.

@MertDSavas Yea. The way Margit disregards Godrick and the twins highlights how little he thinks of their potential. There's almost a sense of pity towards Radahn, acknowledging his strength but not necessarily his leadership qualities.
Rykard's betrayal likely stings deeply for Margit, as it undermines the entire Golden Order that he upholds. Ranni, on the other hand, could have been a worthy successor, but her ambition and defiance make her a threat in his eyes. Her motivations may be noble, but Margit is likely too entrenched in tradition to understand them.
