In his remembrance it says “He loved not in return, for he was never loved, but nevertheless, love it he did.” Born a graceless omen, he was not graced by the erdtree nor loved by his kins. Nevertheless he took it on his own to protect the erdtree while his siblings were warring for the throne. He was perhaps the most lovable demigods afterall.

In items descriptions it's stated that omens suffer from horrible nightmares and I really doubt such a thing happened in times before the Greater Willl. I think that's also a reason why Crucible Knights with time were ostracized and shunned, they were the closest thing to how that power worked with omens being a warped form of that. Morgott and his brother are also children of the Warrior and it was during of his time, time of the first Elden Lord when Crucible Knights were established so I really think there is a close connection to the omens and the crucible but tainted on purpose by the Greater Will.

I swear the only thing that keeps Morgott from joining, or possibly even surpassing such legendary From Software bosses like Artorias, Lady Maria or Gael, is that chances are most people fight him very overleveled because of the sheer amount of content Elden Ring's mid-game has. Everything about this boss is absolute perfection, which just makes me wish all the more that Elden Ring's bosses, at least the main story ones, scaled with the player's level to some extent, to balance out them possibly being really overleveled due to the open-world format.

HE DIDN’T EVEN HAVE BLESSINGS FROM THE ERDTREE OR HIS FAMILY AND STILL protected the name and reputation of BOTH with grace and all the power he could muster. Living out his true destiny unlike everyone else who threw all their previous ambitions aside and lived in chaos however they pleased under no order. Even if no one agreed, if Morgott knew he was right he stood his ground. There’s even a cut scene where it looked like he had a blade shanked into General Radahn; probably one of the few times he ever had an upper hand on him but it shows how bold he is to stand up to even the most commanding and robust warriors. Anthony Howell (Morgott's VA) nailed every subtle emotions Morgott tried to convey in declaring each throne's respective owners. Try listening to it more carefully:
Godrick The Golden: longing, like he misses an old friend that is no more. Fitting, since Godrick and Morgott are both the black sheep of their respective families, and both are seeking some sort of recognition to a degree.
The Twin Prodigies, Miquella and Malenia: sadness, almost parental in nature. I like how he slightly quivers when he said "twin", since Miquella and Malenia are nothing alike.
General Radahn: respect, militari-esque. Like a soldier reciting the name and title of his superior officer.
Praetor Rykard: disgust. He knows what Rykard has become and what he did to get into that state. Morgott and the other Shardbearers clung to their respective Great Runes dearly, while Rykard threw it away by his own volition.
Lunar Princess Ranni: very, *very* subtle tint of hate. Venomous. I take it Morgott knew at least some of what Ranni did behind the others' backs, and he hated her for it.
Howell needs to lend his voice to more characters. That man's crazy talented.

Dead Godwyn was the true Golden one. Godrick's actual epithet is The Grafted, which everyone else calls him by, with disgust.
Godrick was just a feeble distant relative, pathetically scrambling for power and barely a threat, also having no "familial responsibilities" or supposed loyalty to the family to begin with, it's possible Godrick doesn't scorn him like the big contenders, but rather pity.

Out of all of the Demigods, Morgot might be the most honorable demigod out of them all. With most of them being power-hungry like Godrick and Rykard or succumbing to Scarlet Rot like Radahn, Morgot stayed away from the war and defeated Radahn and Godrick's army. Despite being despised by many except Godfrey, he stood his ground as the king even if the Erd Tree Rejected him. It was fatalism that led to his fall.

His speed and ferocity combined with masterful precision and such grace makes him one of my favorite bosses. It only heightens the tragedy to think of Godfrey returning to the lands between and learning what a true warrior the son he left behind had become only to find him dead by our hand. Godfrey sounds almost on the verge of tears when he's cradling Morgott's body. Its a wonder he even decided to fight us honorably instead of tearing us to shreds where we stood.
