To me is was sort of a surprise cuz he has a reputation of being hard to work with but now i get the vibe that he just gets frustrated when somebody wants to change something of the film's story and he doesnt wanna budge
Creepy Closet I definitely see an artist in him, and the way Hollywood is nowadays, art tends to be suffocated in the pursuit of revenue. He probably also has his own vision for his roles which inevitably will clash with a director or otherwise if they don’t agree.
Totally agree except for the incessant amounts of him saying "you know", "like" and "uhh" throughout the podcast. Other than that it was great, he's a humble guy who is passionate about the projects he works on and it was interesting to hear about some of the interests he has
This is a prime example of why Edward Norton is my favorite actor. He’s just a regular guy who is very talented at his job. He has zero ego, and comes across as a good person.
BillHicks420 There are tons of stories about that. He comes across as very grounded here, though. I think he may just be super passionate about his work.
I wouldn’t just say he’s a regular guy...he spent a lot of his childhood in asia I believe and graduated from yale. He’s very well educated. I get that you mean he comes off as normal.
BillHicks420 that’s a sign of a great actor. Directors have talked about working with deniro and Pacino and say they’re so hard to direct because they’re so focused and intense
CrazyFish read my comment, I never said he’s better I said it’s not normal to grow up in Asia as an american and graduate from yale. Are you claiming those are normal things?
Damn, this dude never does interviews and this made me thinking... this kind of podcasts are so much better then the standard interview kind of shit you see on tonight-shows because you really kind of get to know the real person instead of hearing them talking and following some kind of script. Please have him come back, I really admire his work and to see and hear him talk is just amazing. He's a really conscious (or "woke" or whatever you want to call it) kind of guy. Again this is so much better than "interviews" which makes me play around with the thought of you having guys like.. maybe Nicholson? or dare I say Spacey? You know what I mean? Other "big guys" in acting.
I pretty much stopped watching typical TV around 10 years ago. I now notice that real "tv" interviews are infuriating to listen to compared to things like this. The constant interruptions and ad hominem in the media these days is disturbing. This show has none of that. I've seen a ton of Joe's vids and most are really good.
I can separate Spacey from his behavior and enjoy his acting.. Hope HolyWeird can too. They should re-shoot the last season of his Masterpiece.. Let him play Underwood again.. They can write some story about him coming back after something.. Idk.. Bring Frank Underwood back...
How the hell did i miss this one? Ed is my favorite actor of all time. He's a genius and truly passionate about his craft. Listening to him casually speak about music and film is just wonderful.

I knew Ed was insightful, though his depth and breadth of knowledge about many arts and aspects of life is very inspiring. You can feel his humility as well, which makes him all the more likable. Great interview!
It’s cool to see how much of a real person Ed Norton is. He’s very authentic, well spoken, and well read. Nice interview!
Other than that it was great, he's a humble guy who is passionate about the projects he works on and it was interesting to hear about some of the interests he has
cloudbloom Well like uhh that’s just how some people talk. Ya know what I mean?
You DO NOT talk about fight club
Norton not even 13 seconds into the podcast: "Fight club"
Yeah, it's like the stuff in movies isn't actually for real

@@KGProductions_ He isn't hulk, Mark Ruffalo is.
@@elias_xp95 actually Lou Ferrigno is the hulk

BillHicks420 oh he is, but it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. His determination for a good movie and role makes it hard for him to be easy on set.
Word bro!
I can separate Spacey from his behavior and enjoy his acting.. Hope HolyWeird can too. They should re-shoot the last season of his Masterpiece.. Let him play Underwood again.. They can write some story about him coming back after something.. Idk.. Bring Frank Underwood back...
