- In a conversation with veteran journalist Neelu Vyas, HW News' Managing Editor Mr. Sujit Nair discusses the Supreme Court's recent remarks regarding the Election Commission of India (ECI) and Form 17C, which contains booth-wise voter data. On May 24, the Supreme Court declined an NGO's request to direct the ECI to upload polling station-wise voter turnout data on its website during the Lok Sabha elections. The court, through a vacation Bench comprising Justices Dipankar Datta and Satish Chandra Sharma, stated that issuing such directions would be challenging due to the manpower required. With five phases of polling completed and two remaining, the court decided not to interfere at this stage. The interlocutory application filed by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) was adjourned and will be listed before a regular bench after the elections.

Are you guys naive? RK has been handpicked by Modi (against SC guidelines) to meet the tasks entrusted to him. The main task is somehow make BJP cross the finish line. Only a massive margin can make India alliance to come to power.

But still there is a chance of manipulation. It may be that the votes can be taken out from the opposition candidates and that number of votes can be added to the candidates of the ruling parties. This could have been the reason for the delay in announcing the final voters turnout.
There should be atleast 9 members committee for the appointment of ECIs . Two from Judiciary, Two from Govt , Two from Opposition, The President of India, Two from Civil Society . Then we will can have best ECIs.

Election Commission of India is a constitutional body and they are expected to be impartial and fearless. All their actions should be transparent. Which party wins the Election is not important. What is important is that we should conduct our elections in a transparent manner so that people will have faith in our system.

If I remember correctly at my age of 82+ now,once PM Indira was banned to contest Elections perhaps by Allahabad H.C for violating MMC during Election. Why the same should not be applied on the people,be he the Lord Vishnu by debarring from contesting Elections ?
But what guarantee is there that the data was not manipulated befor publishing given that it took so many days
My question is whether the voter turnout data has been given boothwise or parliamentary constituency wise. If it is boothwise, then that has to be tallied with the Form 17C and if it is constituency wise, then the figures given in each of the Form 17C have to be added and the total number of voters turnout has to be tallied with the figures given by the Election Commission.
Let’s hope the best that the results will be as per people’s mandate and not fabricated.

Sudden change of EC as regards to announcing of voting data makes me suspicious, there is every chances government creating a situation for revoting because INDIA alliance is in advantage and they have the edge:
1 don’t insist for revoting , in case candidate is winning without manipulated votes they can be declared winners
2 if any one is winning with manipulated votes, revoting must done
