I seriously cried when this was played - watching a live stream of the concert. My fave song off the Blue Meanie. It sums up the early Oils perfectly being a mix of prog rock/surf rock/hard rock/punk rock.
So who else has watched this SWAS clip numerous times? (as well as other clips from the final gig). What memories it brings back to me having seen it played live-in-the flesh decades ago in the late 70s & early 80s. Thanks so much for videoing & sharing 😀
I guessing the thing where Jim's rig is, is a cam... hope they filmed this last show for bluray release. Great to see Martin doing his thing. Thanks for sharing mate, legend effort

That guitar sound from the first 3 albums is awesome. Rotsey Rocks!!!!
Martin still kicking absolute ass with that guitar playing, 44 years later!

What a song
44 years ago - wow! Australia's answer to the Stones. Let's see, there's Ned Kelly, waltzing Matilda, Skippy, Midnight Oil. How's that?
Great song! It's been so long since they have played it and now, no more.
Martin Rotsey brilliant as always!
Hording Pavlova
Ah the early brillient oils
That would of been total goosebumps they nailed it
