Amazing. Love the expression on Mike Watt's face when he's concentrating!
Watt and Keltner!! Hell yeah
Fantastic chord changes
Holy lanterin jasus, only listening to this pure undiluted harmony in motion tune for the first time... I'm a huge mike watt fan and it makes me very very happy he's still jamming. He's the only bass player that has ever stopped me dead in my tracks when hearing him play. Ain't no picnic will be my funeral song. D boon, George hurley and Mike watt are forever intered in my soul ♥️
The most beatiful chord progression i've heard for a long time! And on point guitar solo. Love that song!
This is exceptional on so many levels.
Oh crap that outro was super cool too.
This is amazing and beautiful. What a stellar drum/bass groove and a gorgeous floaty guitar line.
Also reminds me of Wilco’s work with Nels Cline.
My god this is great. Oh, and Mike Watt is a national treasure.
Thank you so much for listening. Really proud of this album!
Unfamiliar but steady, odd but melodic lines here. very nice indeed.
Beautiful gtr sound.
Just an absolutely BRILLIANT song
It’s been on my forever playlist since I discovered it several years ago
WONDERFUL MUSIC. PERIOD.
Thank you!
great song. i love how jim keltner gets such an amazing sound out of those invisible drums
HA! That's just how good he is.
killer
Great song! Wow!
I can listen and watch to it a thousand times.
whaaat is going on? this is blowing my mind.
This is wonderful.
This guitar playing is what I aspire to, supported by Manuel Gottsching's sequencing.
Wow.
Top music ,.. top guys
Love mike watt . alwalys proves to be not only one of the best bassists Ever. I also love most of watts projects consist of 3 pieces. Mike watt and 2 other musicians usually . each project different and great in there own . but this new project is intriguing . im more of a double nicks on the dimes type of guy( dont steal that rhyme its mine!) ) but i love the sound of this music . very melodic and venture esc with paychedlic n jazzy tones n of course the man on bass . much love guys !
Will be at the st.louis show and / or the indianapolis show!
Disheartening that this doesn’t already have at least 100K views
What's disheartening is we can't see what Jim is playing on, I mean, it's great to see him, but you can't see anything but his head and his hand moving
As of today 1235 views, 235 of which are probably mine alone.
Sublime! We are all so blessed to listen to these artists. I’m buying their work, definitely
well, you being here is a start - think of it that way.
Love it! Wish there had been better camera shots of Jim Keltner.
Thank you and I agree with you! HA!
MAJOR!!!! THX ...
Wow! I wonder how this came about. Wonderful
beautiful tune..
Why such tight shots of Mr. Keltner? As a drummer, I would like to see more of him.
We lost some of the wider drum shots unfortunately. It's a shame because he's so fascinating to watch. Appreciate you listening.
@@BIGEGO, thank you for responding! Yes, that sounds like a tough break. I appreciated the music, filming, and production quality overall.
Fantastic guys!!! Thank you!!!
tasty! love the song!
Super cool tune!
Great for a film - getting rushed to the hospital
Noice, I play bass and like Mike Watt. Groups such as the Minutemen, Firehouse, and the Stooges were great. Other groups such as Dos, Mike Watt + the Missingmen, and Big Walnuts Yonder are good. This song is amazing. Mike Watt is awesome. Yeah, other than that, cool:).
This is awesome! Sounds like a more rock version of a potential indie song, I dig it! Awesome song!
awesome Jim, your playing is sublime
I feel the same way. He was incredible to work with.
very very very fine, it begs for many listenings...
The drummer obviously not filmed in the same recording which spoils the video a bit. Would like to have seen him hitting those drums. Nice instrumental. This is the guitar I aspire to playing with nothing more than a looper for company.
The whole thing was tracked live together: bass, drums, and guitar. We lost some of the wider drum shots unfortunately. I agree, it's s drag not to see more of Jim's technique. He's really dancing in this song and on this record. It was an honor to work with him.
@@BIGEGO I only came across this track because Iggy Pop played it on BBC Radio 6. I was in the gym at the time and it sounded 'lush'.
Amazing work! How did you record this one?
It's jazz Jim....
WE NEED TABS
Is that a Calatrava Mike Baggetta is wearing?
A $10,000 watch for a jazz guitarist?
I dont know much about the guitarist but is no one hearing a surf ventures tone ?? Id say throwing this in an idy category is an insult . mike watt is independent if anything he created "indie " loo
*indy
Surf music,classical,metheney,mexican...?
I'm not sure where this is going...
I wonder if Keltner knew Bob Dylan wrote propaganda songs :D
Mr Narrator…
