I have tried the versed retinol body cream along with the naturium. I prefer the naturium over that, but honestly, the Gold Bond is just as good as those two and much cheaper. I will say that I am enjoying all three though. Retinol body lotions have really made a difference for my skin.
I’ve been using the Smooth Landing eye balm for almost a year. It’s nothing short of amazing. I have used eye creams for 40+ years, retinoids for 7 years and Retin-A for 2 years. I wasn’t expecting much out of this balm. I tried it because I had never used a retinoid made for the under eye that was in a balm form. OMG, it locks hydration in (almost like ‘slugging’) and has drastically reduced my millia. I use it in conjunction with the Ordinary’s Multi Peptide Eye serum twice a day. This combo has literally beat out any other treatment I’ve used so far, and believe me I’ve used a lot!

The particular retinyl ester from Versed is also found in some expensive products as well so anyone wanting to try out the Versed is probably a better deal.

The versed eye retinoid - I just didn’t care for on my eyes. But I use it on my bruises and it has really helped the discoloration disappear much quicker. I am very fair and have always bruised easily. I have also been using AmLactin which seems to be very helpful with my senior skin. Thanks for your recommendations so many have been extremely useful.

Fragrance… I was very happily using a cleanser by Vichy that contained fragrance and actually smelled rather nice. But halfway through the bottle, I am now dealing with what looks like contact, dermatitis around my eyes, behind my ears, and my hands… Anything I use with fragrance just aggravates my skin now, so I am strictly fragrance free! I also did an experiment again using facial oil to moisturize and found that my skin was so tight and dry even putting on quite a bit on damp skin and being greasy… It was the strangest feeling and I don’t like it! I don’t know how people using facial oils, have such nice looking skin, maybe it just works for some people better than others but definitely not for me. I also noticed my fine lines Became more prominent, and I had more of them, probably because of the dryness

@@Hemmyii I'm sensitive to salicylic acid. I use their benzoyl peroxide. I just started their adapalene gel too. So far their products have been good to me. I want to incorporate niacinamide for hyperpigmentation. It also has cica which I also want to incorporate but I don't want to buy seperate products. I have researched other creams but panoxyl's seems like the best value ($11 for 3oz). Others are the same price or more for less product. For example elf holy hydration $13 for 1.5oz.

I don’t know about j&j but L’Oréal isn’t cruelty free because they sell in China who have requirements. They are also pushing to change those requirements. Didn’t the US ban animal testing? So it could be something like the L’Oréal situation and a bunch of clean beauty fear mongers.
If that is how you feel, you need to be vegan as well. Products that are not tested on animals are allowed to have carmine dye which is obtained from boiling and crushing red bugs that look like Roly polys. Most companies don't test on animals to get the cruelty free label but will still use the hell out of carmine. 🤷♀️
The Versed eye balm is not new, I’ve been using it for a couple of years and I love it! I think it’s the consistency of it! It’s the only eye product I use!! Love it!
That might take a while. She's tried a few products including the no3 toner and not been a fan. You might have to check one of the channels that focuses on k-beauty like kelly driscoll or aliceintherabbithole.
The thing with pH regardless of product is that you're relying on the cosmetic chemist/formulator to make sure the pH is correct for that product. That along with testing/studies goes into all of it. Which is why you have folks who will say relying on pH test strips isn't giving you what you think they are (Lab Muffin has talked about those in some shorts).

Uhhh... can you talk about Neutrogena's new formula for their Hydro Boost Gel Cream. It has changed and the ingredients are non comedogenic and has broken me out like crazy. I've seen a few reddit posts about it too, I don't understand why you'd be endorsing it unless you're getting paid? It's not a good product for your skin.

For drugstore, L'Oreal infallible make the good one. For high-end, Nars radiant creamy concealer or haus has a new one that's really good. Dior also makes a good one.

I personally wouldn't use glycolic acid during the day. So if your doctor told you to use retinol every night, then probably not. I do use a lactic acid during the day a few times a week and OTC retinol at night, so I think it is possible to use acids during the day and retinoids at night in the same skincare routine. But glycolic is definitely stronger than lactic, so it can be more effective but also more sensitizing.
Too bad our local Target has put most of the skin care aisles under total lock & key! 😢 Makes it impossible to hold the products & read the ingredients.

Clouds don't protect your skin from the sun. It's my understanding (Dr. Dray would have to confirm) that the water droplets act like a magnifying glass and increase the damage caused by the sun. Don't skip the sunscreen! Be safe. 😊

Uhhh... can you talk about Neutrogena's new formula for their Hydro Boost Gel Cream. It has changed and the ingredients are non comedogenic and has broken me out like crazy. I've seen a few reddit posts about it too, I don't understand why you'd be endorsing it unless you're getting paid? It's not a good product for your skin.
Same thing happened to me! I don’t know why nobody is talking about it.

@@lolgtglmao247 That’s terrible! It makes me so mad that they discontinued it, but it’s even worse that they’re pretending like nothing changed. I’m still not sure what to use in place of it. Luckily I was able to find the old one at my local grocery store, but I know I have to find a substitute soon before it’s nowhere to be found.
@@littlemonster16 I'm in the same spot, so far I'm trying Cerave ultra light moisturizing gel... Similar price point, not as easy to find at my local drug store. Product is similar but leaves my skin feeling a little tight... Not an exact dupe but I'm still looking. Lemme know if you find anything!
@@lolgtglmao247 I heard that the Aveno Oat Gel is similar, but I didn’t really like that when I used it. Right now I’m going to try Avene Tolerance. I know it’s not similar to it, but it is supposed to moisturize well. Probably not good for daytime though.

For drugstore, L'Oreal infallible make the good one. For high-end, Nars radiant creamy concealer or haus has a new one that's really good. Dior also makes a good one.

Can you use glycolic acid when you’re using prescription retinol and what percentage?

I personally wouldn't use glycolic acid during the day. So if your doctor told you to use retinol every night, then probably not. I do use a lactic acid during the day a few times a week and OTC retinol at night, so I think it is possible to use acids during the day and retinoids at night in the same skincare routine. But glycolic is definitely stronger than lactic, so it can be more effective but also more sensitizing.

Neutrogena imo is bad bad brand. Never liked any of the products. Retinol serum was not bad. Nothing special though.

Dr dray & fans, can anyone tell me if AHAs (specifically glycolic & lactic acids) are sunsensitive to UVA, UVB, or both? Wondering if i can wear a few products on exposed skin without sunscreen on cloudy days.

Clouds don't protect your skin from the sun. It's my understanding (Dr. Dray would have to confirm) that the water droplets act like a magnifying glass and increase the damage caused by the sun. Don't skip the sunscreen! Be safe. 😊

I don’t know why Versed would be pronounced any different from, versed. As in, versed in skin care.
Depends on who's doing the pronouncing. I've seen derm channels pronounce it both ways.
